Went in to upgrade my phone and add a new line this past Friday and the sales person who closed was the worst sales person I've encountered. The whole time he was pushing me to get internet and would never answer me when I asked how much would my new line cost and if I switched my main line plan who much would that be. All he could say was it's essentially the same thing. I lost it after the 30th essentially and he started to ring me up without even discussing the price. Then he goes on to tell me that I wasted his time...like no buddy you get paid to be there I don't and essentially it's not the same thing. Top it of he say I should have told him I couldn't afford it after I said he'll no I'm not paying $225 a month. Needless to say I got what I wanted for much less doing it myself.. Dear Verizon Customer Service, I am writing to share my disappointment with a recent experience. Verizon used to provide what I considered some of the best customer service--representatives were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and focused on resolving the issue. Unfortunately, my recent experience was very different. In my opinion, the level of service has gone from 100% to 3%. I recently needed a replacement phone. The first representative I spoke with was kind, although she spoke incessantly and repeatedly tried to discuss upgrades. I explained at least four times that I am not the person who makes decisions regarding upgrades or changes to our account. I also told her several times that I needed to get off the phone because my phone was overheating and the battery was dying--which was the reason I needed a replacement in the first place. She told me that, because I had been so nice, she would waive both the $49 replacement fee and the $14 delivery fee. She also told me the replacement phone would arrive on Monday. Later, I realized I had forgotten to ask about the size of the replacement phone, so I called back. Unfortunately, my experience with the second representative was even more frustrating. He was very intense and would not allow me to end the call, despite my repeatedly explaining that I do not make decisions regarding our account. I eventually told him I had to go and hung up. He then called me several times and left multiple messages, including one that simply said, "Wow." I found this behavior inappropriate and uncomfortable. The delivery experience was also frustrating. I had arranged for my daughter to be at my home to sign for the phone based on the delivery date I was originally given. Verizon then changed the delivery date, so I sent her home. The date was changed again, and FedEx attempted delivery in the meantime. This created unnecessary confusion and inconvenience. To add to my frustration, I am now being charged the $49 replacement fee, despite being specifically told by the first representative that it would be waived. We have been Verizon customers for approximately 15 years, and it is disappointing to feel that customer service has become so focused on sales and upgrades rather than listening to and helping the customer. Pushy sales tactics are irritating, especially when a customer has clearly stated multiple times that they are not authorized to make those decisions. Verizon can do better. We have remained loyal customers for many years, but experiences like this have caused us to seriously consider whether it is time to take our business to another company. I would appreciate someone reviewing this situation, including the promised waiver of the replacement and delivery fees, as well as the repeated and unwanted calls from the second representative. The worst company!!!!!!! my wife has been in Verizon store on the phone with the business department and they keep switching back-and-forth and after we upgraded our phones, they tell us two months later that we're being charged for the phones because the phones were never turned in we turned them in in the Verizon office they got cameras they can review them. Sounds like they got a bunch of thieves in there. They take the turn in phones and sell them prove to me otherwise and I might take this down... update-6-6-26-- this company just charge me another almost $500 so I'm gonna have to dispute every charge. Working with this store was not good. Verizon customer service said one thing but when I went into the store, they said something totally different. They were telling me I'd have to add another line to get the deal on the phone that their phone sales were offering me under my own line. So I ordered the phone through their phone sales. Unfortunately, I was sent the wrong color so I went back to the store to exchange it. They activated it without even opening the box, which caused my new phone to have difficultly setting up and leaving me without a working phone for the next several hours. I went back to turn in my own phone instead of shipping it back. Well, the store representative didn't actually log it, which made my bill much higher. So once again I had to call them to correct it. Not to mention you get hit with the smell of body odor when you walk through the door. I thought initially it was just something with that day but all 3x I went there it smelled sooo bad. Very unhelpful employees. I had called over the phone to set up an account (which was no problem) then while still on the phone was told to use the app to sign up for auto pay and add hot spot to my plan but was unable to because I couldn't link my phone number. After not being able to successfully set up my app account they told me to go to a store for assistance. So I set up an appointment at this store for some assistance with my account set up and the employee that helped me here was so dismissive and short. I tried explaining what I did with the customer service employee but he didn't want to listen instead he did the same things I did with the last person trying to help me. He kept making comments like "well you have to use your number not email.." "well you should have done this.." "well you're probably not entering it right" . He acted like he knew all the answers but was still unsuccessful in resolving the issue. Told me they as Verizon store employees don't have the ability or access to much, customers have more control of things through the app.... So I was referred to customer service again and still couldn't resolve my issue. Said I would be called back in 5-7 business days to try and resolve the issue by a tech... When I am finally ready to give up on the phone associates, I take the time to make an appointment with Sal to get the job done. No, he doesn't always give me what I "want", but he nonetheless gets the job done. (Sometimes I want too much) He is thorough, detailed, and highly communicative. He is more preoccupied with the relationship than the transaction. Do not buy equipment from your local store. Get it from Sal! Adding new lines, cost centers, and purchasing equipment has been the smartest move for me when Sal handles it. read more

I went to Verizon in Carmel Mountain. John H. was great and spent two hours customizing the three phones I added to my plan. So why the mediocre 3 stars? I gave only three stars because after over sixteen years of being with Verizon, they over-wrote everything we spent our time at the Carmel Mt. store doing and applied protection insurance and hotspot coverage without our consent. The plan change also effected my phone's ability to send text to Android phones so I had to go to Tier 2 help to have them reset my E-simms card or some such thing which took about two hours. When one changes phone plans, one receives around ten emails in rapid succession. One email showed a protection plan that I knew we had declined yet next to my account it said MODIFY or DECLINE. I did not know what to do so I did not right then and there make a selection. Later, I looked for that email and it was gone (POOF!). Luckily, I took a snapshot of that email so I was able to refer to it. Clearly VZ does not want one to cancel coverage so they either hide it or it is one of those self-destructing emails. I had to spend about another hour getting them to remove the phone protection coverage. Later, I caught that they still were charging $10/mo./phone for a hotspot feature which three out of four of us being retirees is something we don't really use especially since it is too expensive to travel. Also, John H. suggested that since I had been a VZ customer for so long, that I should call VZ to ask them to waive the almost $50 set up fee (having John H. help us in store - not the activation fee) but VZ acted dumb as if I meant the activation fee so since VZ hides this fee they did not waive it. VZ also never sent a customer satisfaction survey which seemed unusual which is why I am doing a Yelp review now. I really dislike how VZ does all it can to keep one from speaking to a live agent. The AI never gets right the reason I called about. One would think that VZ being a big carrier would have perfected a change in phone plans but it was extremely underhanded to try to add on charges when we spent two hours in the VZ store doing this. Again, John H. at Carmel Mt. was great; He was patient, personable, able to multitask and valued us as customers. VZ and it chat interface was not pleasant and makes this customer feel like VZ does not value its customers. read more

To make a long story short, I had a mishap with the online ordering and pickup, so I had to go in person which I was NOT happy about, but this experience was beyond outstanding! Jony Martinez helped me, and I have no words to describe how helpful, how knowledgeable, and how customer-focused he was. He apologized for the mishap even though the situation was not his fault, he set me up with the phone I wanted and made sure all my data and information were transferred from my old phone to my new phone with ease. This company is guilty of fraud. BEWARE of offers to trade in a phone for credit. I was offered (repeatedly) to trade in my perfect iphone X for $700 credit on a new phone. I sent in my phone and received an email that it arrived and looked "great." I received forty one cents credit. I called and asked for my phone to be returned and was told it was a mistake and I would receive the full $700 credit. My next bill ...no credit. For four months straight I have received a no credit bill, called and was promised that next month the credit will show. It never has. BEWARE if Verizon Wireless!!! read more

Beautiful large Verizon store but I have nothing else positive to say in this review unfortunately. They are only helping people by appointment or if you wait for a REALLY long time. The hours posted online were incorrect (first time I tried to go I arrived 8 minutes after they closed), a few days later the wait time was 90 minutes. When I did finally get to speak to someone the customer service was somewhere around poor to mediocre and the system he used to check me in wasn't working. I have a billing issue I've tried to resolve through calling, chat, and now going to the store. The rep I saw today in the store was making faces when I was talking (implying he doesn't believe me? Or that he has bad manners? Both?) and then he simply handed me a paper with the Loyalty Phone number saying no one in the store could help me. Super dismissive and unconcerned about the errors on my bill. All I got from going into this store was a massive ball of frustration. I get that retail is short staffed right now (it's February 2022 and Omicron stinks) but get it together. I came into the store for help and the first thing I got was an appointment to come back in 2 days. I did finally get a credit on my bill and a better phone plan by calling the Loyalty Team phone number but the process to resolve this was a nightmare. read more

I switched from Boost Mobile to Verizon Wireless on 24 April 2019 because I was having trouble making and receiving phone calls I was only able to send messages through Facebook Messenger. I didn't want to only be able to get and make calls through FB Messenger. So far, I have not had any issues with making and receiving phone calls. When I first started service with Verizon, I was told that I had the auto pay set up at the store and that they help me do it. Then I called a month later because my bill wasn't where it was supposed to be and they supposedly also help me set up auto pay saying that the store didn't do it correctly, and I never received my auto pay discount and they wouldn't apply it. So today the same thing happened, they said that I be never had a autopay discount entered into the system and they would help me set it up. Worst Verizon location ever. Employees were just sitting in the back and we had to wait about 10 minutes to finally be helped. And when these female employee finally spoke to us, she said she can't help us change from a physical SIM card to an E-SIM card because they're only by appointments and she won't have time. There is no signage that says appointments are required on the front door or inside the store. She also turned down another customer prior AND after us, who wanted to order a new iPhone because he didn't have an appointment. Do they realize how rude that sounds? When I was with AT&T they changed my physical SIM to E-SIM within 5 minutes! I explained to her we're moving overseas for the military on Tuesday and she said there is nothing she can do to help us and that the next available appointment is on Wednesday. Store did not have accurate inventory, didn't check on the status of my pick up order, then when Verizon Help tried to call the store, they didn't answer. After checking in, talking to a staff member then 2.5 hours of waiting very patiently in the curbside pickup spot, it turned out they didn't even have the phone I upgraded to. The lady on the phone at Verizon Help was extremely helpful and is over-nighting my new phone, but the manager of the store needs to reevaluate their standard operating procedure and maybe ask a customer who is in the curbside pick up spot for 2 hours if they could help. I had taken in some used items, such as a rather new Samsung smartphone, an old flip phone, my old iPhone & etc. so that I could get some credit. Luis said, "I will give you a $50.00 credit on your Verizon account with the items you have brought in." Well, that has turned out to be SIX (6) MONTHS OF LIES, LIES & MORE LIES!! Do not go here! Travis added a line to my plan and never informed me about any of the 3 year plan for the new phone or how the trade in works, just that I would get $800. Complete lie. You get $22 credit on you bill until you pay off your locked phone and if you pay it off early you lose the balance of your credit. So I'm expected to use my phone for 3 years ?? Then I got home and realized I had no record or receipt for my purchase. The email had been changed. After going back in to update it and asking about the lies, or lack of information, Trevor just kept repeating that that's what everyone does. I found out he also charged me $70 for a charger and cable that he told me was free with my purchase. I don't recommend going to " authorized Verizon stores" like this one as their employees are dishonest and lazy" they just just care about making their commission and screwing over the customer. Associate that went by "Art" seemed pretty careless when helping us, was on his phone the majority of the time, gave us the new phone without opening or activating it, left us to do it on our own.
