    Working with this store was not good. Verizon customer service said one thing but when I went into the store, they said something totally different. They were telling me I'd have to add another line to get the deal on the phone that their phone sales were offering me under my own line. So I ordered the phone through their phone sales. Unfortunately, I was sent the wrong color so I went back to the store to exchange it. They activated it without even opening the box, which caused my new phone to have difficultly setting up and leaving me without a working phone for the next several hours. I went back to turn in my own phone instead of shipping it back. Well, the store representative didn't actually log it, which made my bill much higher. So once again I had to call them to correct it. Not to mention you get hit with the smell of body odor when you walk through the door. I thought initially it was just something with that day but all 3x I went there it smelled sooo bad. The staff there are nice but they do seem understaffed, so expect to wait. So all in all, just call Verizon as you'll get better service, better deals, without the smell.

One thing I especially appreciate is their electronics and appliance recycling program. It's incredibly easy and convenient. I just bring my items to customer service, let them know I'm there to recycle them, and they take care of the rest. They even provide a receipt. It couldn't be simpler. I've also had great experiences with the staff and Geek Squad. When my parents needed a new TV, I hired them to deliver and install it. They were patient, professional, removed the old TV and mount, and did a perfect job mounting the new one. The whole process was stress free. Between the helpful employees, fair prices, convenient recycling services, and excellent Geek Squad support, this has become my go to Best Buy location.

I returned the first tablet and immediately went to the San Marcos BB to buy the open-box. The item was cosmetically fine, and the box had "Inspected by Best Buy" stickers on it. Great, so far. I got the tablet home and charged, but when I went to do the initial setup, the tablet was *still logged in by the previous owner!* So much for "inspected." I performed a factory reset and tried again. Nope, factory reset protection meant I still needed the previous owner's credentials. I called Geek Squad (GS) and they assured me they could handle it. I drove BACK to the store, only to be told the tablet could be returned or exchanged. Seemingly annoyed with the most basic form of customer service, the 20-something redhead GS member told me two stores with comparable open-box items. So later, I drove to *another* BB store, only to be told they could not locate the item. Wow. Ok, I'll take the credit on a gift card, since my debit card would take days to clear a refund. In the BB parking lot, I used the gift card to order a comparable (but out-of-area) open-box item from their website, then I drove an hour home. When I got home, I had an email that the order was canceled because they could not locate the item at yet another store! Now there's no tablet and no money left on the gift card. I talked to four different overseas CS reps, telling the story four different times, only for them to tell me they will investigate and then mail out another gift card in 2-4 business days. Today is Wednesday and I need the tablet this weekend. Four business days means, maybe, next Tuesday. That's fitting, I guess. See You Next Tuesday! I'll waiting at the front door of my bank in the morning, and filing an immediate charge-back for the $300 that has vanished into the ether. This is completely unacceptable for any retailer, let alone one of BB's size. I'll do everything in my power to avoid shopping at this chain, ever again. Say Hi to Circuit City for me

I attempted to return it immediately, but after waiting approximately 1.5 hours, I was told the system was down and to come back another day. On my next visit, after another lengthy wait, I was told to drive to AT&T to have the phone unlocked. AT&T informed me they could not help because the device was sold and controlled by Best Buy. I then returned to Best Buy and was told to wait 48 hours and try again. Over the course of multiple visits, my family spent well over 10 hours trying to resolve what should have been a straightforward exchange for a defective phone. The final visit alone took approximately 5 hours to complete the return, replacement, and data transfer. What is most disappointing is not that the phone was defective--manufacturing defects happen. The issue is the repeated misinformation, multiple trips, excessive wait times, and lack of ownership in resolving the problem. My wife and I have two young children, and the amount of time required to fix a problem we did not create was unreasonable. I have attempted to raise these concerns directly but have not received a meaningful response. I'm posting this review in hopes that someone from Best Buy management or customer relations will review this situation and explain how this level of customer service is acceptable.

    This review is mainly for the return department. It was a breeze! There was no haste in returning…read morean item that I used but it just wasn't to my liking. I had the receipt ready in the application and all the cashier had to do was scan it. And vol la the return credit will go straight back to my target card. Decent prices and deals throughout the store. I had a found everything that I needed in its designated isle. Easy peasy visit. And this day there were several cashiers working. It's apparently Pokémon season so there were lots of staff on hand.

Today, I needed one last thing for Thanksgiving. I searched online and it said they had one left. I was a bit hesitant as other times I have trusted other stores online inventory only to find they were out. I looked to see where it was in the store before I went in. To my surprise, it wasn't very busy, this day before thanksgiving. I found close parking easily. I walked in and walked to the grocery section found the aisle and there it was, exactly what I needed with one left. I was happily surprised, especially since I had a really bad experience at another target recently. The store was clean and well organized. Not the mess I've seen at many other locations. I took my item and went to the checkouts. I wasn't sure if the self checkout kiosks took cash, so I got in line in a regular line. Unfortunately, although there weren't many people, they had many items. I saw an employee walk by so I asked her if any of the self checkout kiosks took cash. She was so nice and friendly and explained that one side of the kiosks did indeed take cash. I proceeded to the self check out, rang up my item and paid cash. I even got change. It was really easy and I was out the door. I will continue to visit this location in the future.
