Absolute scam of a business.....Upgraded my phone and they tacked on $12 a month insurance without telling me. Only found out when I called VZW. Also did not disclose other fees associated with the upgrade. VZW confirmed they are knockoffs and known to be shady. Yikes, what a freaking joke, make the drive to a corporate store. I did my homework before I went in to buy a new I phone for my mom. The store was convenient and I new what the fees and taxes would cost me to get my mom a new phone. First I was greeted friendly and then the costumer service went down after that as they tried to sale me everything in the store and I said no. I asked them what the Taxes would be and they told me $70.00 I was like what ? I told them Verizon online tax was $50.00 and Costco was the same. They continued to tell me that Costco was less because they sale used phones. then they went on to tell me Target and Verizon online where not good either . That started to really bug me. There where 4 people behind the counter all backing the sales guy up. They lowered the tax to $63.00 and told me he could really get in trouble. I didn't know you could adjust taxes. I understand they make most of there money on cases and such. The reason this bothers me so much is my 75 year old mom would have payed all this if I had let her go in by herself. It wasn't a good experience and I felt like I was being scammed I should have left. read more

I am so disappointed with my experience. I was talked into purchasing a HUM unit by a visiting district manager, which overall I still feel was a good decision. When I tried to activate it I was told by Verizon Tech Support (Go Wireless is a reseller) that the unit was not new and was already registered under another account and cannot be activated! After repeated calls to this store, which usually resulted in voice mail with no return call from my messages, I finally reached Jamar who said I needed to return the unit to the store. I live 150 miles away so I could not and we agreed I would ship it. For whatever reason USPS could not deliver to their address (which I did confirm with the store). Jamar took the tracking number and told me he would call and never did. I just received the package back today - almost 2 weeks later. I again tried to call the store several times and just got voice mail,left messages and again no return calls. I called another store that is closer to me who tried to help. I now have to go through Verizon maintenance to get a new unit shipped because my purchase is past the warranty! This local store was perplexed that I was not told to call Verizon maintenance in the first place. The refusal to return my calls by the San Marcos location is unacceptable. Also, I was not told there was a 2 year agreement that went along with the unit. Chalk it up to experience. My recommendation is to go to a true Verizon store. Go Wireless customer service at this location is blatantly unacceptable. The strongest words I left in the last message was I was extremely annoyed - I was polite the entire time. Not good customer relations at all! Buyer beware! UPDATE: Verizon (NOT Go Wireless) is replacing my unit with a REFURBISHED unit and that is all they can do. I paid for a new HUM and I'm getting a used one. When one is dealt lemons, make lemonade. You've been warned. read more

I wasn't upgradable and he explained for a couple of dollars more than I was already paying I could get on a program called the Edge and walk out with a new phone, my phone is all broken so I really needed something. Went to this location to buy a new phone because one was stolen and another was overheating woman said I have to call customer care to make a claim...How with no phone? She stated she could not do so and I can't just walk into Verizon and get a new phone. She didn't even attempt to fix my phone just held it and said it overheating and she couldn't do anything I have to call customer care. Went to the Verizon on Nordahl and the gentleman was able to solve my overheating phone problem by simply using a new charger and I was able to purchase a new phone there as well. Sjaaval provided me excellent service. Luis and Sjaaval worked very well to tag team and they set up a new phone for me. This was by far the best service in my history as a 20 year customer I received. It was a very fast, about 20 minutes total and they even transfered by contacts etc from my old phone to my new phone. Idrees the manager is great but if he's not there, leave and come back when he is. I was having problems with my 6 month old Samsung 8. Took it in twice, when Idrees was there they couldn't help me enough. When Idrees wasn't they hardly looked at me. I was the only customer in the store and I had it ask for help. After trying to describe the problem with my phone and telling them multiple times that I had NOT damaged my own phone, there only suggestion was to tell me to call 611 or for me to use my Insurance to get a refurbished one even thoughn it is under warranty. Or I could trade it in and get $100 off on a brand new phone.I have been a satisfied Verizon Customer for over 20 years. I ended up going to the Verizon store in Carlsbad, they were great, didn't try to upsell me, they did some trouble shooting and in the end called 611 and they ended up sending me a new phone. We stopped in the other day to switch my husband's phone over to a different phone. There was no wait and we were immediately greeted by staff. They quickly switched out his phone and transferred his contacts to the other phone. We were in and out in no time! And then....we realized the iPhone we bought from Amazon ("refurbished") didn't work and was terrible! So...back we went to Verizon! I felt bad having them switch everything back to the old phone! Was called by Corey and notified that my iPhone 6 was in. I asked to make an appointment to transfer all of my data. He informed me that it doesn't take long. I asked if he was sure, because it usually takes awhile. He asked what I wanted to transfer over. When I told him everything he said that wasn't possible and I needed to use the cloud. There are several reasons why that wasn't an option for me right now, but I need my new phone since the current one was on deaths door. He said he can transfer the contacts only and would only take a few minutes and no appointment was needed for that. Well. 45 minutes later I'm there and my contacts can not be transferred! Why, you ask? Because someone is transferring over 700 pictures their info to their new iPhone 6 and it was going TO TAKE 2.5 HOURS to get done! Well, I was pretty indignant at that point and I had to ASK 7, SEVEN MORE TIMES for an appointment! Gilbert said I was being rude... (Do you think?!) but finally got me one. Corey said if I delete my pictures it wouldn't take that long... How helpful. Well fast forward 5 days without my phone contacts and apps, I drop my phones off and leave them for 2 hours and twenty minutes! Guess what?! Yep. Nothing transferred over except a dozen pictures (I had 740) and half my contacts. HALF!!! I wish the free car charger they gave me and most likely writing off made up for this. I'm still receiving business clients calling and texting me and having to explain that "I no longer have my contacts, who is this, please?". Thanks, guys! You're awesome. read more

Dropped my iPhone 6s in the sand and lost use of the microphone hence no calls. Took it in and was told NO WAY CAN THE MIC BE REPAIRED ON THESE PHONES. I end up having to get a new phone, case, an the "free tablet" I qualified for, cost right then $250 plus a year of payments. Oh and that's tax on the full price though I qualified for an upgrade and not only tax on the free tablet but $20 a month for the wifi use. Free? Since it takes half hour for my phone to transfer data, I take a walk. TWO DOORS DOWN I see the Repair Lounge. Hmmm do they not know this is here? I go in and low and behold I'm told " no problem ". For my phone cost is $119. That's it. He fixes it, I take all my stuff back and they want a $75 restocking fee!!! Seriously? They settle on $35 as if that will get me back. Should have been $0. How about honestly like " why not take it two doors down and if they say it can't be repaired we'd be happy to help"? They were out for a sale, that's all. Run and if your phone isn't working try The Repair Lounge where they keep it real. I added a star only because the screwing could have been $75 restocking. read more
