Alberto single-handedly saved our 3-week Nightmare. My personal business phone upgrade turned into multiple failed store visits, +5 hours on hold with AT&T. Calling out of work twice to save my wife any additional headache's. Plus when you drive 1hr from Valley Center, every trip at $6 a gallon for gas adds up quick. So on her sixth visit, she got lucky - Alberto by chance was filling in that day. He spent hours on the phone, fixed what AT&T broke and made sure we got every credit and promo we were originally sold on. In the end he spent 2 hours with me on my second day off going line-by-line. Not only did he fix all of our issues, he found extra benefits that saved us even more money. For problems, he did not cause and had zero obligation to fix. I give them an enthusiastic Minus 10 if I only could! I signed up for their fiber and their "mobility" otherwise known as cell phone service three weeks ago (3/12/26) and have experienced insane billing and not good service. The one-month cell bill for two lines is $310!! Definitely NOT what I was presented and signed up for. And the "commercial" rep who visited my home twice, once when I signed up and again during the fiber install, will not return my phone calls or emails. The most amazing part is that I am literally being HELD HOSTAGE and l am UNABLE TO CANCEL! I have been passed around to different parts of the company where I'm told their particular system doesn't allow them to do an account closure and then assure me the next group will so they transfer me elsewhere and I'm given the same excuse. I have been given pin codes that the next department doesn't recognize. I'm told that my email address needs to be in the system for 30 days before the account can be closed!!! But yet they've emailed me a number of times for billing and other items. Over four days and many hours on the phone have been invested and with NO results. IT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! It equates to unlawful detainment and I will be filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. They were found guilty years ago in a class action lawsuit for falsifying bills (which caused me to leave them then vowing I'd never return) and I hope they'll suffer the same thing for these actions. I've been to TWO retail stores and have had NO RESULTS. The last store - a corporate location, not a franchise - tried to get it done calling corporate but still no luck. They told me they were there to sell, not to handle customer service issues and cancel accounts. So please be aware! I can't wait to get back to T-Mobile who actually is great to work with - if you use a corporate store and not a franchise location. read more

Mauricio was very helpful in transferring my service from verizon and getting new devices. he was very personable, informative and was polite to everyone from what i saw. the manager came by while I was being helped and he was nice as well. it's a great deal for what i'm getting. they have all the new devices, tons of accessories as well. I just have to go pickup my ipad at another store because i'm impatient lol. **however, i would definitely recommend getting the bill payment kiosk fixed. lots of people came in specifically for that and were unhappy to have to wait to pay their bill with 1 of the 2 people working. read more

It's been months. At least six months since the kiosk has been operational. It is absolutely ridiculous because someone's there to use to make a payment. AT&t is communications and they cannot repair a kiosk for communication! it's to their benefit for a customer to pay a bill. And it is supposed to be there for customers convenience especially because that's a very busy branch and most of the time the salesperson are busy with saling. Erica was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Her only response was "check another store." When I got upset, she didn't apologize at all and she was like: it is what it is." We ordered transfer phones online, they basically said the opposite in store that it had said online and we drove all the way to a far location just for the specific phones that were available and the worker told us that they were doing an exception for us when they literally were just doing their job and we wasted gas to drive and only get 1 phone out of the 2 because of some stupid policy after he literally had both in the bag. Over the past few months, I've visited three different AT&T stores, and each time, at a different location, the self-service payment kiosk was broken. That's three separate visits, same result: I walk in hoping for a quick payment, and the one thing designed to make it easy is out of order--again and again. Today's visit stood out for another reason. When I walked in, one of the employees--a man helping a customer--acknowledged me right away and let me know he'd be with me shortly. I appreciated that. However, the other employee, a woman who had just finished with a customer and was on the phone, saw me standing directly in front of her and then turned around and walked into the employee-only area without saying a word. No eye contact, no "I'll be with you in a moment," nothing. Whether or not the call was work-related, the complete lack of acknowledgment came across as dismissive and unprofessional. This wasn't an isolated incident--it's been a string of unhelpful experiences across multiple stores. I'm not asking for much. Just a working kiosk and a little basic courtesy. Att has the worst customer service ever. The store cannot help you if you ordered or something went wrong online. There is NO ONE who can help you. They charged me for services that I never ever had and it took a whole week of calling and trying to find someone to help me. It is a nightmare. DO NOT ever use AT&T.. My wife and I came to this location so we could switch her from her old plan to my plan, and the staff there gave us every excuse why it couldn't be done. They made up excuses about what we would need to do and said they couldn't help us. It was sheer incompetence and laziness. We proceeded to drive across town to the location by CSUSM and they were able to help us out without any issue. I was at work in Poway and called to see if they had a phone in stock. I believe it was Raul. He said yes it there, so I drive on my lunch break to go purchase the phone. His boss the assistant manager came out to help me. He was very rude and didn't look like he wanted to be there. He said the phone was there but could not be sold until the following day. Customer service can be a thankless job. When a patron stops by, if their problem is solved, it's what they expect and they go on their way in silence; but, most people will speak up and complain if things turn sour. Looking at the reviews here, with a couple high reviews and many more low reviews to push down the ratings, it's safe to say there are probably quite a few 4 and 5 star stories that are going untold. On the flip side of that, most customers that come in with a problem are looking for two things. They want the problem to be solved (obviously) and, to a lesser extent, they're looking for some empathy (this is especially true if what you need can't be fixed). When dealing with smaller businesses, getting customer service to understand where you're coming from is easy as there are fewer working parts to the company and those service reps are closer to what the problem is. Larger corporations, however, need larger employee bases, which means less training to go around, which results in talking to multiple people who do nothing but read from the same script. And this is where things can quickly turn frustrating, because when you start hearing the same lines from that script repeatedly, you know you've strayed outside someone's comfort zone and they fallback to the familiar. This is where many customers go to die ... and it can suck. Which brings me to my problem. Recently bought a new house in this area and had my AT&T service switched from my condo in Encinitas. Been making payments every month, but my bill due date is on the 21st and I get paid on the 22nd, sending out electronic checks that arrive a few days later. This means that I've been incurring late charges on every bill. So, to avoid getting this monthly hit, I called up and asked what could be done ... the solution ended up being pushing my late date ahead by five days. Unfortunately, this also pushed my new billing cycle into next month's service time. This meant that I received a bill for April 1st - April 6th charging me a full month of AT&T service (for all of April) and immediately received another bill for April 7th to May 6th charging me another full month of AT&T service (for all of May) and stating that I was now a month behind. I essentially went from being a few days late a month, but having my payments up to date to now owing two full payments, being 25 days late, and getting nasty letters from AT&T saying that they'll cancel my service and charge extra to turn it back on. Needless to say, this wasn't right ... and, yeah, it kind of sucked. Which finally brings me to the customer service here with AT&T. Calling their billing line, invariably led to the same scripted line of, "you're a month behind in your payments ... can we take your payment now?" It didn't matter that the month was only six days long, it didn't matter that my account was up to date one day and then over a month behind the next, all that mattered was sticking to the script. Today, coming here to the San Marcos AT&T branch is devolved into much of the same. To their credit, they did sit down and try to listen; this original effort is why this a weak two star review over a single star. But, while I can understand why I'm being charged two full months of AT&T service (moving my billing date did push the tail end of my service cycle into a new month and all), trying to get the simple point across that what was supposed to prevent me from constantly being a few days late every month has now caused me to almost a month behind with a two month balance ... they just fell back to their script. Very frustrating ... like I said. To the point where they kept repeating the same lines from that script while standing at the door, ushering me out. Honestly, if i had been with anyone I cared about, it might have been mildly humiliating. In the end, though ... it just comes down to that lack of empathy. They don't care what the issue is, they don't care if AT&T caused this issue, they don't care if the situation is right or wrong. All that matters is that they stick to their script. And that really sucks. read more

Called att they told me to come to my local store (they had the phone in stock) been waiting outside for over an hour (was quoted 20 minutes) when asked if there's anyone else available they said the manager decided to go on break with 3 people waiting (one ahead of me) called vista and they have no wait. The staff indicated that they didn't care the item I was searching for and I requested whether she was able to look the item up to see if the product existed. I just need to RANT for a second about ATT lord help me because I have had enough of these people taking more and more money - shout out to AT&T for being hands down the worst prices, service, and customer service I have ever dealt with. The fact I have to result to blasting a business on fb is enough said. ANYWHO here we go.... From 2018-Present I have had ongoing issues with ATT. Recently, ATT (05/24/2019) alerted me that I was due for an upgrade on my line. I went into the store to receive the upgrade and instead of upgrading my line, they added a third new line to my account. NOT to even mention i brought in my great condition iphone 8plus for a rebate....never even got the rebate credited! they said "you can get 350 for this phone towards the upgrade" ok sweet lets do it i HAND THEM THE PHONE....never got the credit or rebate! This line has a designated # and i did not get any sim card or phone for this extra line that they charged me for. For the last year I have been paying for an extra line that i did not give ATT permission to open a brand new line with a brand new phone. It was only suppose to be an upgrade. They put my current number/sim card into the new phone thus making it impossible for me to cancel any line..in order for me to cancel my line they want me to pay off the device, pay early cancellation fees, and then pay what they called an "inconvenience fee" for wanting to leave in the middle of my installments. AUG 2020 - i canceled a line with ATT that had a phone stolen. I bought a phone for my nanny/roommate and the phone did not get returned. I contacted ATT insurance company to report the phone stolen. Next months bill comes and they are still charging me for this damn phone, so i call ATT and they are making me charge out $400 in order for me to pay off device and cancel the line. At the end of the day i pay them the $400 on top of paying my $235 monthly phone bill...$635 !!!! THEY NEVER CANCELED THE LINE! Still to this day they will not help with that line with the stolen phone at all Finally they froze the line due to inactivity and i had to keep suspending the line to avoid being charged.. I get the occasional service rep that says "hang on i am going to waive your fees" Thus putting me on hold for 30 mins sometimes almost and hour then hanging up./ Anytime I call or try to settle the debt they add on more off the wall charges & then telling me "its not our responsibility you need to handle this" NOT ONCE has ATT done anything to help navigate through this instead ATT will shut my service off (12 days before my bill is due) I pay the fees thinking it was MY fault and then 3 days later i get yet another bill with more charges and more "fees" that have miraculously came up. I have been a customer with ATT FOR YEARS now and have never had issues until the last 2 years. My phone needed an update, I didnt want to update so i kept ignoring the cellular update and had to have ATT reinstate my service and pay a $35 fee all because i wouldn't updae the phone (not even kidding) SO now, I have had to type this up on fb, report a legal claim against ATT, and then contact the BBB and file a complaint because I refuse to fork over $1200+ to leave ATT when I have been trying to leave them for the last 6 months. Anytime I try to leave there's a new charge, a new hidden fee, and a new reason of why I am stuck. GOOD RIDDANCE - thank you again AT&T for the ridiculous amount of money you've taken from a pregnant mother of 2(yes i will pull that damn card)...end rant. read more

Frank was the Greeter and ignored me. He then let somebody else go ahead of me because they needed to just pay a bill. I have been sitting at the store waiting for 20 minutes. I had already been registered in the system. Definitely a struggling store and struggling employees. Now been here 35 minutes and the guy who just needed to pay his bill is still with the representative. Wisdom and order are missing from this location. Frank was not responsive, ignored me and didn't care. I asked to speak to the manager and he declined. Said he would not do it. My son's account was changed to include two I-pads which he never purchased. The rep at this store would not help and said he needed to contact AT&T by phone. After over 4 hours on the phone over two days, they "graciously" credited his account for $100. This barely scratches the surface of what was automatically taken out of his account. They confirmed that there was no I-pad usage but still would not budge. I will be moving all of my accounts including my business accounts from AT&T.
