Mel -- who recently moved over from the Encinitas store -- took ownership from the second we walked in. She didn't just "help." She fixed everything. She brought my dad's phone back to life, fully moved and set up every contact, message, setting, and app, and made sure he wouldn't miss a single thing, even though he's currently in the hospital. Holy crap. When I say I've never ever been talked to so dismissively by a store employee, this place is over the top. Not helpful, did not care, did not want to know and did not want to help me. Offered a phone number to call. My husband mistakenly switched over to Verizon from AT&T whenever you call the store whether it's this one in San Marcos or Escondido. Still 1 star, I wish I could give no stars frankly. Or even negative stars. My experience at this store has been the gift that keeps on giving. January of this year switched carriers as I'm done getting randomly uncharged every few months ever since I signed in January of 2023. Literally was counting the months until my contract was up. Switched to my new carrier, paid my last bill and surprise surprise only to be contacted saying I had almost a $500 past due charge. A customer service call later only to discover I'm being charged a balance for my devices. Apparently, and as a shock to no one, while my service was a 2 year contact the devices were a 3 yr payment plan. Customer service asked if that was explained? Nope, not at all. Guy left the store halfway through, as I sat at the counter. Huzzah! Now I have an itemized bill coming, and I will get to pay still further. They wanted me to go in to the store with my questions. I asked to make some changes on my account and he even called Verizon's helpline for me, giving the service rep all of the information needed, and confirming the changes. Bordering on deceptive sales practice for selling 5-G Home Internet Gateways. Registered the gateway to a different address than mine so that the internet service tower was available to that address and then tagged that device to my active account that had a completely different address and was in a location that didn't qualify for the internet service. Won't be going back to that store or maybe even Verizon in general. read more

I traded in an iPhone XS back in Oct 21 during the $800 trade in promotion. I spoke to Lewis, the store manager, and an employee after 2 months inquiring about my bill credits. They said they would submit a form to correct the mistake. 2 months go by and I still don't see the bill credits. I called the store again in Apr 22 and they said to contact Verizon directly. I called Verizon 611 and they were able to assist me. After 6 months, I may finally see the bill credits for my trade in. I would suggest finding another store in the future as it seems from previous reviews it is an issue they should correct for future customers. Such a hassle, when a few documents aren't submitted correctly if at all. It seems they are more concerned with getting the sale than submitting the paperwork properly. I hope they can streamline the process now they are known as Victra. read more

Management switched me over to Verizon from ATT without accessing the promotion which gives me the full amount for my trade. Then they handed me my phone, and said "we messed this up. there is nothing we can do. Best of luck." I left with my phone and no order of the new phone that I wanted. Beware ! This is not real Verizon... if something goes wrong you are on your own... Verizon does not stay behind it's name When we visited San Marcos location for needing a replacement for a phone , Associate named Anthony was there , wasn't very welcoming or willing to help ( he was super short with us ) and we called customer service before visiting the store to know our options that all the information we learned about our situation, when we told Anthony about it he said the person you talked didn't know what they were doing ! Anyway...we end up getting a IPhone SE (asked for a receipt he said we would get an email , which we never did) and phone turned out having technical issues when we wanted to return it they wanted to charge us restocking fee out the door $70 us leaving empty handed because we wanted to return defective goods. The day we wanted to return there was someone else and he printed the receipt for us and turned out screen protector Anthony gave us saying it's free store having a promotion end up $60 on the receipt. Walked in with a dead phone, 150 bucks and an hour later walked out with upgraded phone, a new tablet and of course Verizon's 2 year contract. If you don't mind contracts and can work with a down payment, then this place will work out deals. Some things like a 20 dollar no warranty screen saver I can pass on. Remember they are salesmen and will haggle and upgrade everything... So far loving my brand new phone and tablet and appreciate that my bill remains about the same. There was a guy working with black hair who was extremely rude and had zero interest in helping me. He knew right off the bat it wasn't a sale, so he was entirely unsupportive. I understand they can't do trade-ins in store if we have done a transaction online or over the phone. However, I'm a long time Verizon customer and he gets paid to answer customer questions. I just needed some direction with how to go about my trade in which was a very simple answer that he was incapable of kindly relaying to me. The reason I am giving two stars is because the kind gentleman with glasses came over and professionally had a conversation with me and was able to give me direction with how to proceed. Zero stars. Today marks (1) year that I have been chasing my $1,000 rebate from Verizon. Prior to switching from AT&T to Verizon. I was promised (2)$500 per line "switcher" rebates and (3) $200 bring your own device rebates. These rebates were promised and confirmed by Travis at the Las Posas store and were the incentive for me to switch from AT&T to Verizon as they would pay off what was owed to AT&T on our phones. I have called Verizon customer service 11 times and spent countless hours on hold and dealing with representatives who routinely promise to "escalate the issue to their manager" and promised the issue has been resolved, and I will be receiving my reimbursement in the next 1 to 2 billing cycles. This has been the same game for the last approximately 10 months. I decided to go back into the store on Los Posas and try to speak with Travis who helped us initially. He said there was nothing he could do and I needed to come back and speak with his manager, Luis. I have been in to speak with Luis multiple times, without resolution. Luis stated he would escalate the issue to his store manager, Kurtis Yulfo and repeatedly promised callbacks with a quick resolution. I have stopped into the store on three separate occasions in the last two months without resolution. I am beyond disappointed at the customer service from this location and Verizon's corporate customer care. This has the outward appearance of a bait and switch, false advertising, outright fraud, whatever you would like to call it. I am still owed $1,000 (1) year later. I'm am extremely disappointed in this location and Verizon corporate. I really thought Verizon was a reputable company to do business with. I will be shopping for an honest wireless service provider. Rarely do I ever have the need or desire to physically go and talk about my phone and data plans, but I had a couple questions about upgrading and all the existing fees. I usually don't like being hit with all the terminology and am scared of getting scammed or locked into a plan because I don't know any better. The staff was extremely nice and patient with all my questions and comments. The three front workers all looked happy to be there and I could tell that they were friends. Be very careful and have everything in writing. It took me over one year to get all the rebates we were promised last summer when switching to Verizon. It took me several hundred texts to the store manager, countless of emails to GoWireless and the Regional Manager whose responses were very slow and incomplete. The rep at the store misrepresented the special offer at the time of switching and promised us rebates that we actually weren't eligible for. Luckily I had everything in writing, but they took over 1 year to make this right. I think most people would have just given up on it...Worst experience with a wireless retailer! read more

I was the only person in the store & Travis the employee on duty was texting when i came in. Finally stopped to help me. He was very condescending & could hardly be bothered to help me. Told me that what I needed could only be done on the phone & through the Verizon app. When I explained the CSR on the phone directed me to the store he just said well, can't help you. At approximately 12 noon today I went in to get a different phone and a different plan. I no longer could afford my phone. The young man helping me - I should say NOT helping me - mumbled and jumbled on every question I had and then looked me in the eye and said "I have no authority to do what you want, you need to call the service center" and proceeded to put a pink post it note on my cell with the number *611. I went out to my car and dialed the number and the first thing the Customer Service Representative said was "he had full authority to assist you in a new plan and new phone!". I have been with Verizon for years now and honestly going to a normal store that is huge is just so overwhelming for me and I end up spending hours at a Verizon store however when I moved to San Marcos I started coming to this "go Verizon store" and I love it. I'm always greeted and seen fairly quick. I recently switched to an iPhone X and ended up not wanting it so I needed to switch back to my iPhone 8 and needless to say this was a process. However Mitchell helped me out and made this process as fast and painless as possible. Mitchell demonstrated great customer service and you could tell he truly enjoys his job and is willing to help you! The manager was great as well in assisting and explaining the process of switching back to my old phone when I already purchased the new one. Have been with Sprint almost 30 years now, and made the change to Verizon to seek out better coverage. Had done some research prior to making the move since having my service this long, had no idea how changes work. Good thing I did, or this may of turned into a 2-day event. Before making the switch from Sprint, you must have your full account #, PIN and request that Sprint unlock your phone. So, overall, all went well here and the service is welcoming at this store! I arrived around 10:30a and after having to make a call to Sprint for the unlock part of the transition, I was out of there in just over an hour. It probably is best to visit here during the morning hours as I notice many coming through here and so wait times may happen. Worst retail experience ever! No one was in the store, wanted to switch from At&T to Verizon and needless to say I didn't even get into the store to walk out. A very rude sales person come out and asked very abruptly if I had an appointment, I said no, and he said he could not help me with out an appointment. Now the store was completely empty and there were 4 employees working. I said all I don't look too busy can I make an appointment for right now, and he said no and there was someone coming In at 6:30, and I said ok but what so What about the other employees, can they help, he said everyone was going home even tho the closed at 9pm, and I asked if anyone else was coming in after 6:30 and he said due to their customer confidentiality he could not tell me, and I said ... wait you just told me you had customers coming in at 6:30, so you can tell me them but can't tell me if anyone is coming in after... so I get it, they just didn't want to work or make a sale, so I said ok.. when can I make any appointment... and he literally said Tuesday after looking at his I pad for 10 seconds.... today is Wednesday... I left! Thank god, after reading the reviews... I dodged a massive bullet. I would not buy anything from this store!!!! Amazing customer service. I went in for a new phone and this guy Issac came up to me. i think he was the manager as he knew every product front to back. He was all friendly and courteous. Anyways, he showed me all the phones and service plans and before i knew it was was being rung up for an iPhone 6! His sales skills were second to none and by the time he was showing me accessories i felt like i knew him cause we were deep in a conversation of all things 90s. Great phone, Amazing customer service, and at a low price i know ill be here for when i want to get a new phone or tweek my plan. 5 stars all day! P.s. Where do I start...This branch is absolutely DECEPTIVE! I bought a phone a week ago, Bibiana said that the phone will be delivered from Carlsbad in 5 days even though Carlsbad is a 15 minute drive from this location. Sketchy as it is, we went with it since it is the holidays. 5 days later... the phone is still NOT there. We then spoke to the assistant manager, Diana, on the 6th day she said it was physically on the UPS truck to be delivered that day. A couple hours before closing, we called the store and the manager, Musab, said our phone WAS NOT delivered. Not once did they think to call to notify us of this ridiculous update and not once did they say the phone was on back-order (the manager slipped this into the last conversation we had with him). However, we cannot trust anything they have to say because since Diana and Bibiana in particular lied so much during their conversations with us (specifically with: 1) where the phone was, 2) when it would be delivered, 3) when Bibiana would be in, 4) claiming Bibiana was the only one who could help us even though we provided Diana the invoice number for the purchase, etc.). But, the BIGGEST red flag was when the manager Musab said he COULD NOT track the phone through UPS because he did not have a tracking number...Then asked us if WE had a tracking number for it... I am pretty sure they will never deliver my phone and that they schemed us out of our money for a new iPhone. This has been THE WORST experience I have had with Verizon after being customers (going to a different branch) for more than 10 years. Musab, Diana, and Bibiana need to be fired and/or sued for false statements, miscommunication/lack of communication altogether, deception, blatant lies, and horrible customer service. This store needs to close down or get a whole new staff that works by integrity, honesty, and trust. read more

I went in to the Verizon store at 151 S Las Posas to get a new iphone The people there were excellent Diane was friendly and knowledgeable. The manager Derion hooked me up with a better plan. I received an iPhone 8S. Two iPads. Two lightning cords. A cover. A protective case. And my monthly bill went up only 3 dollars Superior customer service by two people who care about the customer. BEST SERVICE I have ever received @ verizon! Idrees was fantastic!! Over the top excellent customer service. He trully cared that I was getting the best plan/service they had to offer. I ended up having to order the phone I wanted, so I did have to visit the store twice. Both times I got the pleasure of working with Idrees. He remembered me and took care of my phone situation quickly and efficiently (couldnt be happier) Phone issues can be a huge pain to deal with, but with service like Idrees it was a breeze!
