This review is overdue Hubby and I needed new phones so we went to this Verizon location because it is a Corporate location. Some locations are a franchise and people don't realize it! We found the franchise store we went into in Brandon tried to pad the bill and the guy was dishonest!! Usually my son goes with us to help because he's more knowledgeable with modern technology than us. We went alone to this corporate store to gather some information about purchasing new phones. A lovely gentleman named Jeff helped us. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and extremely helpful! Jeff was patient and explained everything. My husband and I felt extremely comfortable purchasing our phones with Jeff. Everything he said we would be paying we are. There were no surprises! Horrible experience. I walked out and bought a new phone at the Verizon in citrus park. The sales person was beyond rude, condescending and spent the entire time trying to upgrade me on a million things. Will never go back to the dale mabry store again. He mocked me, laughed at me and told me I had fear of saving money when I refused to bundle my cell phone plan with a home internet. I already have a home internet I'm happy with. Like everyone else the customer service was horrendous! Walked in at 7:25pm which is 35min prior to closing to get a new phone for my daughter on her bday. The young girl told us as a starting point " what do you need" This is how it started.... I told her we would like to get a new phone and that we saw on the app that we can get a new phone for $125.00 plus an extra charge on our bill of $25.00 she said they could not do that in store cuz they were closing early and that corporate tells them to stop doing it 1 hour prior to closing! Keep in mind we were wanting to add the phone not change it out! She then said and you have to give us the phone you have! I tried countless times explaining that online we can just buy the new phone and that's what we would like to do in store. She had major attitude so I stated that this is why people will start to lose their jobs because AI and technology will be doing it for them and there will be no need for them and that I would like for her to just help us. She said I will but what you are getting online for $125.00 will be $250 in store plus I get your phone! Full of attitude so we left!!! Went to car and bought it online in less then 5min for $125.00 and will be to us Friday! Teacu your stuff some customer service! I will be looking into moving to AT&T after being with you for 20 years! Customer service is huge and you lack it both in person and on your online support portal! I would give it no stars if I could! Recently switched to T-Mobile received a letter in the mail telling me I owe $667. They failed to break down the charges so I called the one 800 number. I was told that they could not provide a final bill for me itemized. I was told to go into any of my local stores and they can help went into my local store and I was told I would have to go to a corporate store. How about I don't pay the bill until I get a proper one. I want a proper final bill broken down because they are fraudulent, they are liars, and I don't trust any dollar amount that comes out of them. I just had an encounter with the girl who said she's the general manager of the store. She was SO rude. I've always gotten help when I came here before but this is my first time dealing with her, and I literally want to change phone companies now. I hope someone from Verizon sees this and does something because it's not good for business. She asked me zero questions except if I was military- didn't find anything out about my situation. Offered zero help or solutions. The place was busy with people waiting (no one was getting helped) and I think she just wanted to get people out of the store. It was the worst customer service experience I've had in a long time. I left feeling shocked. Save your time and money and go somewhere with people that care about customers. Verizon doubled the cost of data I was paying from approx. $80 to $160! I got suckered into switching to an unlimited plan without disclosing all the facts and had terrible speed (service is tiered, so you pay more for a faster connection), but never told I could go back to my previous grandfathered plan...I knew deep down the plan they switched me to was too good to be true (should've followed my gut feeling). Also, the person "helping" me kept saying I wasn't fooled into this godamn awful plan when I literally explained to him multiple times that I was because nobody said anything at all about the slow service, which was an absolute disservice and not being able to go back to my previous plan at the same price...price has skyrocketed to 100% increase vs. What I was paying for 2 yr. Ago when I was locked in on old prices; He made my experience unpleasant. read more

The store says open till 6 I get there at 4:59 paper in window says now closes at 5 but the door is locked and the employees, all girls standing around a table gossiping instead of having the door unlocked till 5pm which is not what the website says. So now they are doing nothing when I was ready to purchase an iPad but nope! They lost out on this commission!! Horrible if you're open till 5 then change the time on the website and make sure to say doors locked before 5 pm!!! Quite possibly the worst cell phone store I've ever been into. I had seen a phone while shopping at Best Buy, but Best Buy didn't have any in stock so I drove the couple miles to this location. A gentleman in a cast approached me and I stated I wanted to see what was left on my contract to get into a new phone. He looked at someone behind the counter and passed me of with a facial gesture. The next gentleman, after hearing my request walked me back to a PC and tried to log in. He walked away from me twice. No "give me a second," no "this is giving me issues," nothing. He just left me standing there and walked away, not saying a word. When he finally decided to help me out, he looked at my account, make a horrible face and said, "You want a new phone, you JUST got your current phone..." Seriously? When did spending money unnecessarily and boosting your sales become a bad thing? He never even asked if I wanted to get the phone or pay off my current contract. He just left again. Tempted to call corporate due to how horrible the employees are here. They should know these folks are costing them money and potentially customers. I went into the store to upgrade my phone and had a negative experience. Upon entering, we were asked to wait and they would be with us shortly. After waiting for several minutes with no follow up, another customer walked in, skipped in front of us and was accommodated without question. After waiting several more minutes, with no recognition we decided to leave as we were being ignored. After respectfully informing the manager of the series of events, his response was rude and unprofessional. Employees do not know how to manage accounts or transfer lines or do basic functions. Wait was over an hour. they ended up calling verizon to figure out how to do what I needed and still couldn't figure it out. Just trying to set up a new account and transfer numbers. read more

Came last week. Was told to make an appointment. Came back a week later for appointment. They had no record of appointment. Told them again what we wanted to do; they say, "we don't do that here, there's a number to call." Waste of time and lack of customer service. Fortunately, I don't have to come here that often as it's usually not a good experience when I do. It's a small store so there aren't many people there to help and as a result it seems like there's always a long wait to get help. When you do finally get help, the employees are well-intentioned but it's hit or miss on whether they're actually helpful. It seems like Verizon has a lot of restrictions on what they can do, especially for business accounts, which can lead to frustrations when all you want to do is upgrade your phone or get some tech support. Basically, if you get do what you need to do online I'd advise doing that over trying to do it at this store. You'll likely save yourself a lot of time. read more

I had a wonderful experience at this location on April 16 with Richard. He greeted me and had the door open for me as soon as I walked up! Richard was able to get my media and settings from my old phone onto my new phone with no problems. Also he suggested I update my plan which means he was able to save me hundreds on overages I was going to incur! What a great service that is. Got a call I'd gone over my minutes but I could temporarily increase the plan then return to original the next month. After 8 months, they're billing me for $1300 for not paying the original overage. I've spent 3 hours total on the phone, each time they promise I'll be credited and pay only the cancellation fee. I've been on hold right now for 12 minutes. Customer service is their inside joke. When my phone died from rain damage and could not call my home to get a hold of my parents to add me as an account holder, they let me use their phone several times. One of the employees even escorted outside with an umbrella to my car when it was down pouring. They were so nice and helpful getting my new phone set up. The service was absolutely amazing. This Verizon location has some of the rudest employees I've encountered in quite some time. The lady that helped me developed an attitude within the first 2-3 minutes of our interaction; her answers were short and lined with an undertone of annoyance. She decides to argue with me when I ask her about why Apple no longer includes a product in their boxes. I then purchase a new iPhone and there is zero explanation on how to set it up, nor a thank you for making a purchase. I also decided to trade my old iPhone in as part of Verizon's trade in program. Her first estimate was $170 then a few minutes it was $440. Another employee here's my question pertaining to the difference in prices and asks me "why are you questioning it, just be happy with the price increase." I hope it these two were just having a bad day and this is not always there regular attitude, because customers will decide to take their business elsewhere if it continues. He should be promoted to management and allowed to help his fellow co-workers with their customer service skills. Employee lied to me back in November about how the upgrade policy worked. Came in ordered a phone and when it was delivered she said I was required to have it upgraded in the store and they would take my old phone from me. Well I did that and for the next two months Verizon harassed me that I never mailed them the phone. The manager Darlin promised me many times that this issue was cleared. Beginning of January I receive my bill for $605.00, so I was charged for the phone they said that was returned. I have text messages from the manager stating I wouldn't be charged for the error an employee made. She was off until 1/10 and promised she would contact me then and it would be fixed. I asked for her manager number then and was ignored. Spoke with Verizon on the 800 number and they said when the store opens they would call but it was out of their hands. I texted her at 6pm yesterday and no answer. Texted again today and again no answer. I did exactly what I was told to by an employee of the company and have yet to have this issue resolved. read more
