They told me they will call me before putting the phone screen on to ask. I got a call about an hour later stating that the only damage on my phone was the screen. I asked a few times as I originally wanted to trade my phone in with apple, but if it was only the screen that was damaged, I would reconsider. They told me they would use an original iphone screen as they ran out of the better quality screen. I opt-in for the original screen which I paid extra for. I was in a rush when i got my phone and didnt check it throughly. The screen is not original. So if they ran out of better quality screen and my screen isnt original, did I pay extra for the lower quality screen? A week after the fix, I had noticed that the light sensor wasn't working on my phone. I do believe that when I gave my phone in, they told me they would check my phone to ensure everything was working. And that included the light sensor. I took it to the store, left it for a few hours only to be told the "ribbon" was damaged by the "cracked screen". When i told them it was never cracked, they changed their reasoning to water damage. I was given attitude as I tried to reason. The service would be a 1star as I did not get the original screen which I was promised. The service is also a 1star as I was given attitude when I went in for discovering another damage which I was told prior that the water only damaged the screen.

So it's been quite a while since I've needed to pay a visit to the Smart Addiction shop and now…read morethey are in a different location than those first times that I needed their help. Recently I miscalculated my stride on some steps and came crashing down with my mobile in my hand and while I wasn't injured, my phones corner glass was smashed. I was mad for the most part since the phone is only five months old and didn't have insurance on it. Before you chide me about that, I should mention that I've never so much as scratched a phone screen in the 25 or so years of using these devices. End of streak. So anyway after being scolded by Verizon, I headed to the Smart Addiction store which is also known as "iFixit New York, Bay Ridge" location to assess the damage and the cost to repair. Sadly, the screen for this particular model was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL since I rather like a large phone based on all the web and social media stuff I do. The other downside would be the cost of $300 to replace and repair this broken screen. They said the Google phones are costly repairs so the part was ordered and I waited a few days. Once it was in the shop they took my device for a few hours and all was good as new. The staff is friendly but as technicians they are more interested in getting the job done efficiently for the customer. I told them the exact happening that got the breakage for them to be aware in case such actions lead to other issues. It's always best to be honest with the technicians. If you spill something on a laptop, let them know, if you drop your phone out a window, let them know etc. All in all I am glad that they are here and I hope that its a while before I have to come in there again since I don't like breaking things. Another good option at this location in Bay Ridge is that they have one of those Go Lockers so you can direct Amazon, FedEx and more to so you don't miss a delivery while you are at work. Walmart customer care contacted Afflux and requested that they personally refund my money for less then $7.00 and instead of a refund I received a long email from Afflux refusing a refund for $7.00 and instead went on telling me that I need to report it as FRAUD to the police department because they claim either the mail man fraudulently and illegally "kept" my package and marked it as delivered, or it was delivered to the wrong person and in that case the citizen fraudulently and illegally "stole" my package by not returning it to sender or delivering it to my address personally. That In my opinion Is going a little too far for a $7.00 cord that In the end they will have to refund anyway because of Walmarts return/refund policy. Now I will simply have to wait out the 10 days and Walmart will over ride Afflux and they will issue my refund them selves and Afflux will still in the end have to give me back my money. So all they did was annoy me, talk badly about my mailman and fellow citizens just to avoid the inevitable, which is the fact that they will still be responsible for returning my $7.00. I would recommend that you buy a charger from AMAZON instead. Don't waste your time here because this seller is not interested in customer satisfaction they are selfish and only interested in getting your money and regardless of what happens they refuse to take any responsibility in it. I recommend that if your going to shop from a third party seller then shop with AMAZON because at least Amazons customer service is up to par and they can over ride a third party seller and issue a refund sooner then 10 days and also on items that are marked as "non-refundable", Amazon will still issue a refund and the third party seller will have to pay.
