Good food. Horrible service! Ok. I've given the place several tries just hoping it gets better. First of all the food gets 4 to 5 stars. Good food. Consistent. Good portions and flavor. The service however, absolutely sucks. On our most recent visit for dinner, we sat at the bar and waited while the bartender and 2 other employees continued to talk (i.e. complain). No gesture to say hello, I'll be with you in a moment. No eye contact. No nothing. So we timed it. A little over 8 minutes later, the bartender came over and at least acknowledged that we were there. We order drinks and then we wait to see if he's going to ask us if we're there for dinner. That didn't happen. So we asked for menus. Ordered our food and the young man that brought us our food was awesome. Asked if we needed anything else so that's when we asked for a napkin and silverware. The bartender should have already taken care of that when he brought our menus. Our food arrives and the bartender disappears. Another waitress comes and starts cleaning glasses and never says a thing to us. No eye contact, no smile, no nothing. Had she looked up, she would have noticed that my wine glass was empty. So we finally asked for another glass of wine. She of course did not ask my boyfriend if he wanted another drink. At this point, the bartender comes back with champagne and a piece of cake for a couple celebrating their anniversary. He goes on to say it's on the house and he had to decorate the cake himself because the kitchen staff is lazy. He continues to just chat with them. Finally we got him to stop talking long enough that we could ask for our check. I would say that they left about $20-$30 on the table by not asking if we wanted more drinks or desert. While he was preparing our check, he continued to talk to the other couple. So there was no interest in seeing if we needed anything else. If this was a one off experience, I'd be ok. But I would say we've had the same exact experience each and every time we're there. Really disappointing and it seems to be a common experience as we talk about it with other golfers. They all say the same thing. Great food. Shitty service. This restaurant could be a goldmine. But the current staff sucks and they don't know what good customer service looks like. It's really too bad. Because the golf staff is awesome. They acknowledge us as we golf there every weekend. Super friendly. Go out of their way to help us. The restaurant staff could learn a thing or 2 from them. read more

Update: The staff has turned over and the experience is so much better!!! I have been here a few times since my previous review and I am happy to report it's much much better. We have eaten here three times and all three times have had the same experience. Food is excellent in quality but the service is slow. DO NOT go here if you are in a hurry, want your drink refilled in a timely manner or get irritated quickly, this isn't the place for you. DO GO HERE for a great view, good food and you don't mind watching the waitress sit down on the patio to talk to a customer for 10 minutes when two of her tables asked for the check 20 minutes ago. I had really bad service! I definitely do not recommend this place. My wife called last week to place an order for Thanksgiving. She was told that a manager would call her back to take her order. No call. She called back the next day and again was told that only the manager could take her order and that the manager would call her back. No call again. She waited 2 days this time and called back to place the order, but yet again, was told that a manager would need to call her back to take her order. Food is always great here to-go or dine in. We tend to sit outside when we do go because we have many little feet. Would give it 5 stars but for some reason we always get the same 2 servers. Either a young man or an older lady. The older lady is rude, she has a "And then what" attitude. I never want to ask her for even ketchup because not only does she take 15mins to bring you 2oz of ketchup but the "uh yea" I'll get to it when I get to it attitude she gives is HORRIBLE. I have gone to the bar and asked for condiments and tipped the bartender, unfortunately thats how much I avoid her. The young man is nice and fast but seems nervous when the lady waitress is around, not sure if she's his superior or if she intimidates him as much as she does me. read more

Sat without knife or fork fir 20 minutes got up to ask a waiter and manager came over and told me I should not have gotten up in her restaurant and should have told a server person I told he no one was around she is very rude. I live here in Verrado, so I really, really want to like this place. We've been here 5 or 6 times - sometimes just my husband and I, sometimes with out of town guests. The service is routinely awful. Tonight was no exception. We never did get an assigned server - just people randomly filling in as we flagged them down. - We asked for mustard from the young man who brought our food. We never saw him again, and never received any mustard. - One person in our party ordered wings. No wings. This is on a Sunday with the NFL AFC Championship game. - We asked for refills on beer (after just grabbing a random server walking by). We were told they ran out of Bud Light. We finally just asked for our bill. The food is OK. The poor service is completely unbelievable. We won't be coming here again. read more

I have only been here twice however, it was two totally different experiences. I went about 2-2 1/2 weeks ago and their menu was on point. We went back tonight (6/28/2022) to celebrate my friends birthday (one of his favorite spots) the menu was awful. They shouldn't have changed the menu. This one is no up to par with what the other one was. They got rid of the mahi wraps, chicken parm, and the ribs and green Chile. Verrado Grille. Ordered 2 chicken cobb salads to pick up - $13.50 each. The hostess who took our order said they put turkey on the salad not chicken. Would we like Chicken? I said yes per their online menu. She said ok, very cool. Husband went to pick up the salads - $49.00 - WHAT??? Hostess told him, we use turkey, you ordered chicken, that's an extra $9.00 per salad. Did she tell me that when I ordered??? NO. Husband talked to the manager. He said "yes, there are several different menus out there" but didn't give us the price advertised online. So the food is good for what it is, but it's a little to basic. Their breakfast is mediocre and their huevos rancheros are not good. Their michelada is way off the mark, they need larger glasses. The problem was that they wanted to pour the whole beer in the glass but it left no room for the michelada mix. The Verrado Grille is one of my favorite places to eat in the West Valley. Since it's close to home it is a top-five. Sitting outside by the lake is a beautiful ambience. I was visiting a friend in Buckeye who is a regular here so she was able to get us on the list for a table. We had drink and bruschetta on the outdoor patio and it flew by. The bruschetta was great. We moved out bottle of wine to a table in the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Chris. He was great. Attentive without being overbearing on a very busy Saturday night, Valentine weekend. The pork loin chop with bacon jam is to die for. We returned Sunday for a yummy Bloody Mary and great breakfast. If I lived here I'd have to keep going back to try the entire menu. My friend said they have a Wed prime rib dinner special and at this moment it's in my list before I head back home. read more

Last evening we joined our neighbors who were celebrating an anniversary. Our group of celebrants were 20. They decided to hold this get together at the Verrado Grille. This part of the country club in Verrado. It is a very nice looking building with lit palm trees so at night it makes a great statement. When we arrived we were greeted and shown to the party. As soon as we joined the group a wait person was asking what we wanted to drink. I believe we had three waiting on our group. They were quick and and never let us sit unattended. We spilled out on to the patio with a great view of the golf course. Once we decided it was dinner time we all gathered in the restaurant it self. It is a nice well appointed room with windows designed to allow a expanded view. Dinner was a choice of three items off of the menu, one steak, one chicken and one fish. I had the chicken. It was fine, nothing spectacular, but fine. Each seemed to enjoy their meal and the restaurant it self. We were well taken care of with no rushing or lack of service in a nice setting. I would use them for a gathering or just a nice dinner for two. read more

In belated celebration of our friend's birthday (Happy Birthday, Chad!) four of us went to dinner at Verrado Grille. Living out in Estrella in Goodyear, it's so great when you can have such a lovely dining experience close to home. We chose to sit in the bar, which allowed us to chit-chat with the bartender, Desi, as she prepared our drinks throughout the evening. If you like margaritas, go to Verrado Grille, ask for Desi, and request her "tequila lover's margarita." It's unlike any other margarita I've had, with muddled lime, lemon and orange. It's strong but very good, and she refuses to give you a straw because it's meant to be sipped. Chad opted for a mojito instead, and it was really very good as well. There was so much mint in the mojito, the glass was almost completely green. To start we shared the spinach and artichoke dip, which was served with yummy chips that had a sweet/spicy seasoning on them. My entree was the herb-roasted chicken. The two chicken breasts were served with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans, plus an herbed chicken au jus that I didn't touch because the chicken was so flavorful, I never even thought about it. By the way, the chicken they use are all raised without hormones or antibiotics and are fed a vegetarian grain diet. My friend, Cara, also had the herb-roasted chicken (she had also had it just 2 days before and loved it that much - that's how good it is!). Meanwhile, the men had St. Louis-style barbeque baby back ribs, which came with cole slaw and french fries. For dessert, the guys shared a cookie-dough cheesecake and Cara and I had the brownie berry parfait. Think brownie sundae but packed with fresh berries. Yum! We had a great meal, fabulous drinks, and we didn't have to drive for an hour! And, if you have kids, they offer free babysitting on Thursday nights! read more

I live in Verrado so have dined at the Grille many, many times. First of all, it is a gorgeous location and atmosphere. Whether eating indoors or on the outdoor patio facing the mountains, it's always a very comfortable atmosphere. Ambiance alone makes this a great place. I am delighted to see a new item on their menu that is vegetarian -- it's a grilled veggie wrap and since i'm vegan, i just ordered it without the cheese, and unlike most vegetarian items that are tasteless without cheese, this sandwich was perfect. Very tasty non-dairy dressing. Two thumbs up to the Verrado Grille for adding this healthy and cruelty-free option to their menu. Now when my meat-eater friends and family dine there, I no longer have to decline. :) Also, the chocolate cake I had there was one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had anywhere! Do not eat here!!!!!!!! We made reservations for thanksgiving at the Verado Grille for 2:45 pm on thanksgiving day. we asked up front if we could have separate checks and the employee said yes! We were seated at table 44 and there were 14 of us. we started off with bloody mary's which your waitress suggested. They were horrible! When we went to the buffet line the turkey was not a turkey but something pressed and ! It was cold and tasted like rubber! The prime rib was not only cold but it was of a lesser quality than i have ever seen! I was in Corporate Management with Victoria Station and we specialized in prime rib. There was no turkey stuffing and there was no mashed potatoes when we were in line! By the time we went for desert they were very scarce! When the bill arrived it was one bill. We told the waitress Talah that we were told we could have separate checks and she said she could only divide the bill of $813.28 equally even though only two people ordered wine. I had to personally divide the bill correctly and go up to the bar with the credit cards and give her the correct amounts so she could enter them one at a time! This entire experience , quite frankly, was the Worst Restaurant Experience we have ever had and we want to be reimbursed for the entire bill! read more

Situated on the Raven Golf Course in the Verrado community of Buckeye is the Verrado Grille. Great indoor ambiance and west facing views of the sunset over the golf course from the patio give the Verrado Grille an extra star in my book. Because of its location near Buckeye, I'm giving it the extra star just because there are absolutely no good restaurants for a nice lunch or dinner anywhere around here. I've had pretty good food here, but with a little extra care in preparation, the food might deserve another star. I have to disagree with the other Yelp reviews about the drinks. I was served the worst Margarita in the history of the modern world here. I quickly sent it back and overheard the female bartender remark to the server that there was nothing wrong with it....unless you like a glass of sickening sweet, warm, mixer, three ice cubes and with the tequila bottle quickly waved over the top. It may just be a matter of who's behind the bar. Service is decent, but again, it depends on who you get. Several servers seem to know the menu, one could not tell us what came with the prime rib that night. Overall, I'll still stick with my 4 stars because this is such a breath of fresh air way out here on the dark side of the moon; good food, decent service and great ambiance. read more

I just indulged myself with Dinner for the first time at Verrado Grille last night, and I must say that it was a great experience under the circumstances. They close at 9 pm and we got there at about 8:30, so I was expecting poor service because of our timing. Our waitress was nice, and the service was still good for being almost closing time. I had a pint of Verrado Ale (which is 8th street from Four Peaks) and ordered the Almond Encrusted Basa, which was a beautifully cooked white fish with this delicious Orzo/Risotto side. The price is right about ball park for the level of quality you get, I would even pay up a little more for it. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend that you aim for a sunset dinner, as the view over the golf coarse and the white tank mountains is amazing during that time. read more

Awesome place to have a nice dinner. Decided to check it out on a Sunday evening after church with my brother Jairo and his beautiful family. The place is beautiful so please bring your camera. Service was great too with very friendly and attentive staff. Ordered appetizers from the happy hour menu which were fairly priced. AppetiZers were surprisingly awesome. Menu offers good American selection at decent prizes. Kids options are fantastic and definitely priced correctly. Not the most affordable on the main courses but is worth it as food was good and the view was all worth it. Will definitely be back. I would have given it 5 stars if they didn't charge for refills on fountain drinks and if they didn't charge me an extra $4 to split a meal with my wife. read more

We visited for the first time for Wednesday's Prime and Wine. The Prime Rib was outstanding and such a great deal to add a bottle of wine for $20.00. The asparagus was fresh and cooked perfectly. I have been coming here for years. The service is atrocious. Why do I keep coming back, out of town guests , view of golf course is amazing, beautiful . BUT this is the last time a week ago, they had NO milk, a spoon was not served with the utensils. by the time the waitress brought the spoon, the tea was cold. The container of hot water had a coffee taste, which ruined my cuppa of tea There was only one other couple having breakfast on the patio, it took 1/2 hour to get our meal Never had problem with the food BUT always terrible service The other couple also said that the patio is noted for its horrendous service . The Verrado Grill is stunning and this is why I keep coming back, food is good too but Saturday night, I bellied up to the bar with my girlfriend, the restaurant was NOT busy one other couple sitting at the bar, we ordered our usual, Dirty Martini with 3 olives, the bartender (female) puts a red wine glass in front of us and told us that she had no clean Martini glasses that it as a popular drink tonight.... Hmmmm I look around and not one person had a Martini.... Clearly she refused to wash a glass or two. To me that's just poor customer service, oh and to top it off, the second Martini we ordered we asked for blu stuffed olives and she charged us each $1.25 for the olives... REALLY? Shaking my head... I finally went here for the first time the other evening. My experience was wonderful. The staff was very sweet & uplifting. Food was so good. I ordered the strawberry mock tail, & the spinach, artichoke dip with pita bread. Oh. My. Was it good. & the view! I am all about a good view when I go out for any event. A view of the splendid golf course as well as the mountains. Nothing better than that for a quaint dining space. read more
