Had the occasion to stop in for breakfast at The Verrado Grille, mainly because it was virtually the only place open on a Saturday morning. After a fairly lengthy motorcycle ride to get to Verrado we were pretty hungry and it was strange there seemed to be little in the area to recommend it. So into the Grille we found ourselves looking for a bit of coffee and sustenance. It took a few minutes for the hostess to wander inside to greet us but when she did she was friendly and got us right to a nice shady spot on the patio, which was pretty well populated. The view of the grounds and little pond is very nice and relaxing. We started out ordering some coffee ( only one of which arrived after having ordered it with our meal choices ). A nice young lady ( not our server ) brought mine out to us after we pointed out the omission. As for the food, I opted for the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich consisting of scrambled egg (fried egg is another option) topped with bacon and ham on a "grilled southwestern torta" with melted cheese and a side of fresh fruit. While it was tasty, I can't really say it was memorable. My buddy had the Verrado Omelet that included what looked to be diced breakfast potatoes straight out of a frozen bag. Overall, service was generally cordial but slow. The surroundings are nice enough, but the food was very mediocre at best and frankly I found nothing to warrant a trip out again. read more

Love this place! Their bruschetta board is amazing. The salmon is the best I've ever had, and my husband really liked his steak. This is our go to place for a date night. We love the ambiance, and it's also great to sit outside. read more

I'm from Southern California and go there every time I'm out there which is at least once a month. Always great food, staff and views.

This is a review just for the bar. We ordered two old fashioned's and the grapefruit margarita. The old fashioned showed up with muddled cherries and oranges with regular cubed ice filled to the top of the glass. It was watery and not tasty. The grapefruit margarita tasted like a premade mix. The two stars are for the service not for the drinks. Not ordering theses drinks again. read more

Golf, happy hour and dinner I had the worst experience today at the Verrado Grill. After golf we had happy hour and dinner and were completely taken back by our waiter and his inappropriate comments. Two of us had Margaritas and they were terrible. When I mentioned it to my waiter he said if you want a good Margarita I needed to go to one of those Mexican type establishments. If he would have them make new ones they would be just like the ones we had. He turned away from our table put his hands on his face shaking his head as he returned inside the restaurant area. read more

This is by far one of the best hidden treasure of the desert. Verrado Grill has one of the best and tastiest menu in the Valley. Nice ambient atmosphere. Friday and Saturday nights a local musician plays music which make this place very popular for weekend dinner dining. Indoor and outdoor seating is available on the weekends too. The sunsets from the patio are wonderful. The menu has a fair selection of food items. Something from a few different food groups. I have been there several times. I have tried the fish and chips, the hamburger, the nachos and steak. The food is consistent and reliable. Every time I have been here the time from order to table is 30 minutes or more. If you are hungry or have hungry kids grab an appetizer and enjoy your group. The menu has been stuck with the same selection. I would like to see a new chef specials to keep me coming back. They do not take reservations; However the greater Melonie (sp) is outgoing and friendly. read more

This is one of those hidden gems. Great food and drinks at reasonable prices. Great bar food but also dinners that look amazing. I've never gotten past the chicken quesadillas and the salads for lunch. The Arizona salad is scrumptious with a lime dressing that makes it. I also added chicken. Wow. I am impressed. We live in Phoenix so we don't know much about Verrado. Our daughter had a volleyball clinic at the Verrado HS. So my husband and I had a few hours to burn and it was dinner time. I googled food near me and this Grille came up with great reviews. We loved the atmosphere. From the lit fireplace to the Christmas decor. I ordered the street taco trio and my husband ordered a Reuben and fries. Our food was amazing. Perfectly cooked. The best part is their Texas dry rub wings. You won't need ranch. These are a spicy sweet. Amazing! I wished they hadn't run out of soup. Would of loved to try that. read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said about the Verrado Grille... It's mediocre "American" food, with clubhouse prices, and notoriously terrible service. Stop here for drinks after golf, but skip the food. Our family lives in Verrado, and we have been here at least 5 times, always hoping that this beautiful restaurant space right on the golf course, in the heart of downtown was living up to its potential. I have never once been impressed by my food or the service, which ranges from moderately bland to offensively inedible. The great view and proximity to the golf course are what carried the second star. This last visit, we ordered fish and chips (average, but seemed fresh), a Cuban (the bread was charred so black it was inedible), and two "clubhouse burgers" (one was drenched in disgustingly solid "cheese sauce" and the other previously frozen patty was burned so far past the ordered "medium" that I could hardly eat it). Pathetic attempt really. I will say, there is a glimmer of hope for this place. Our service this round was better, and there appeared to be a new manager running the joint. Here's hoping they redo the menu and help to bring this place up to snuff, so it can thrive along with the rest of downtown. read more

We were washed out for golf but had an amazing breakfast at the grille. Seven of us, and everyone throughly enjoyed their choices: most had the breakfast bowls. I moved to Buckeye from Calif and have been to the Verrado Grill many times in the 3 years I have lived here. The last two times I have been there, tonight and appx 1 month ago, they were having a change in management a month ago, it was truly like "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, it was unbelievable!!! Tonight's food was cold and truly awful, doubt I will go back again, use to love this place!!! I had the Chicken Quesadilla, it was cold, had 4 bite size pieces of chicken and a few black beans, have had this many times before it was always excellent, even the tortilla was cold. My friend had chicken salad had bunch of lettuce, 3-4 little pieces of chicken, the croutons looked like chicken. We also had sweet potatoes fried, all cold.!! The meal was an entire waste of time and money! Won't be going back!!!! read more

Another no-bueno experience at Verrado Grille. Waited 20 minutes for our snippy waitress to take our orders. Out of tea this time (last time out of potatoes and chorizo). Out of tea? The restrooms were truck stop filthy. No TP, and the sticky disgusting floor may never have been washed. The front door is all greasy and hand printed. Outside the plantings are overgrown and ungroomed, and the front walkway is full of debris and candy wrappers. Overall, not the class place it should be. read more
