I've been going to Verrado Grille for 5 years. The food is average but the view is exceptional. I have supported them through all of the issues last year when they were in desperate need of customers and couldn't have indoor dining. With that being said, I'm done with them. We no longer have any COVID mask rules in place and yet they will not allow you to go to the patio without first getting a temperature check AND wearing a mask. To walk outdoors! This is their decision, just as it's my decision to stop spending hundreds of dollars a year with them. read more

The Grill has always been our place to go. However, this morning changed those plans. Hopefully the Grill will make changes We frequently eat at the Verrado Grill. We enjoy the food, drinks and the socializing. This morning 10:50 we stopped in for brunch. I do not know the néw bartenders name, she was clearly annoyed with customers. We ask for the grills special Bloody Mary. I said not so spicy. She sharply said, "It's premixed"! We have asked other grill bartenders, not so spicy, they added tomato juice. She told, I think the bus boy, "go get some bacon". In a discussed tone of voice. The two gentlemen seated next to us ask for the lunch menu. She told them lunch isn't until 11. The gentlemen looked at each other and said they could wait the 6 minutes to order. Come on, they could have placed their order without her giving them guff and held the order a couple of minutes. Clearly this staff member is not happy with her job, the people she works with or customers. Hopefully the grill will reconsider keeping this person in this position. Or at least let her know that customers pay her salary. We left, we didn't want to sit and look at her sour face and listen to abrupt conversations. read more

Absolutely amazing. I wish I was local because I would come back often. Our service was pretty good. We had a group of 11 and all of our drinks and food came out correctly. She was also attentive and our group didn't have to ask twice for anything. Food was delicious. The bruschetta board was nice and fresh and my steak was seasoning perfectly and cooked at the right temperature. The view made everything 10x better. Hope to return read more

The issue was at checkin. Four of us arrived at the front door opened by someone coming out. As we walked in the hostess had her mask off talking to o someone then looked at us saying masks are required. We asked for masks to which her abrupt answer was we don't have any. As she had hers off and we were only going about 20' to sit we questioned it and she said masks. So we went back to our cars to scour for masks then went back to the front door to see her again with her mask off directing us as she lifted her mask to the temperature station then reluctantly taking us back to our table. She then went to talk to our server and during our visit his demeanor was chilly probably due to what ever she said. The food was the only good thing about the evening. The only reason that we didn't give this place five stars is because the over abundance of flies and it has absolutely nothing to do with the staff. The bartender that we had was hilarious and we love talking with her the place was impeccably clean. I don't know what it was but we ended up spending the entire lunch that we were there sweating it flies and I'm sure it has everything to do with the monsoons and nothing to do with the cleanliness. My husband and I have lived in Verrado now for nearly 13 years. The Verrado Grille is our "Cheers". Yes, we are STILL typically the youngest guests that frequent the bar, however, I wouldn't have it any other way! We have watched our kids grow up in this community and the staff at the Grille have been a huge part of our winding down life. We both run businesses together and it is always nice to have a place to go with amazing staff and good food -no matter the time of day. This IS where everybody knows our name and we always feel welcomed and loved. The bar staff are incredibly hard working! They always make sure my "high maintenance" husband gets the channel changer and they make a point to come up with new drinks based on what we like. Happy hour is probably our favorite time to go. The wings are a favorite. We have watched the Grille go through many changes over the years, but the staff have always been amazing to us and to everyone else we observe while we're there. We are both very busy- as our business is demanding, but we can always come in several times a week and wind down and take a breath. Eric, Desi and/or Trish are usually there when we go and any one of them will always make us laugh. We have never seen any bar or wait staff ever treat a guest with anything, but kindness...and they have had some 'tough' guests. Sometimes there is not silverwear at the bar (not a suprise), but just ask...they all got you covered- even while answering the phones, making drinks for those sitting at the bar and the other wait staff coming to the station, talking and taking orders, and remembering every detail of our very specific food choices...they have always been nothing, but amazing every time! So... the drink photo is not from the Grille...but that's beside the point It was a photo I took while in Orlando. Eric and Desi have duplicated my favorite drink AND created a sugar free version that I am now obsessed with! Clearly, I don't take enough photos of our weekly visits The views are incredible, Friday night live music is always a fun time to visit, but we prefer to go during down times, so we get a chance to chat with the staff and anyone else there visiting. Terrible customer service. AttemptEd multiple times to make reservations for Easter Sunday begging in early March.Given incorrect contact numbers. message left for me to call before 4:00 to be assisted and when call was made was then told that person wasn't working that day. Was told on the 8th attempt that we should arrive at 3:00 to be seated, party of seven. no reservations made for less than eight in the party. When we arrived were then told, " we aren't seating anyone now, we're trying to get people out of the dining room so we can clean the tables and start services again at 4:30". Hostesses were rude and cocky. No apology for being inconvenienced on a holiday with the family. We went to Vic's where we had excellent services and great food. Will never return to Verrado Grille. After our visit last weekend I am asking myself- how hav I not visited before now? The scenery is gorgeous and the food was absolutely delicious. I started off with the upgraded Bloody Mary which included shrimp and bacon. But the real star was the blue cheese stuffed olives. They were amazing. We arrived at 11 so we missed out of breakfast (next time). I ordered the beef dip. The meat was very tender and the bread was soft and delicious. My hubby got the burger and fries. He enjoyed both. I definitely want to return and try breakfast as well as dinner to watch the sunset. If you are looking for something different in Verrado/Buckeye you should give the grille a try! read more

While the food was pretty good at this place, they are a classic example of "bait & switch." We drove over 30 minutes to the Verrado Grille because of a delightful Sunday brunch advertisement: $20.20 for two brunches between 9:00am - 12:00pm. They also offered attractive deals for Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. We were given only lunch menus which were thrown on our table as the waitress immediately disappeared without a greeting. When she finally returned, we asked about the brunch specials. With her hand chopping the air horizontally, she became defensive as fast as a light switch being turned on. Way too much onion in the pico, and the fish had a funky flavor. Both flavors were overpowering and not in a good way. Will definitely look for a different option if/when I go back. There was plenty of room, waitress took our order and......a landscape person decided to start trimming shrubs.... REALLY? I really want to like this place. The view of the sunset from the patio is wonderful. The food has always been good. But what hurts this place is the service. My husband and I went for dinner on a Wednesday night and they were much busier than I expected. We were given a 15 minute wait for a table. No problem. We ran to the bar to grab a beer while we waited. The bartender rudely said to my husband, "I need to see her ID". Not, "Hi, how are you? What can I get you?" He said, okay and reached for both of our ID's (he keeps my spare ID in his wallet). She rudely says, "No, her ID" and points at me. He sets both ID's on the bar and she flicks his back at us, making us pick it up off the floor. Once she is satisfied that I am indeed of age, she pours our beers and my husband gives her his credit card. She says she has to help some other people first, and will run our card later and make sure it is returned to us. We wait the 15 minutes and sit outside. We ask the hostess to get our card for us once we are seated, and she agrees, but does not. We then asked our waiter after our food was delivered to please retrieve our card so that we could pay our bill. He kindly obliged. We ordered 2 apps, the carne asada fries and the spinach dip, as our entrees. It took nearly 45 minutes to get our food. The food was delicious, but the rest of the experience was such a pain in the ass. If you go, plan on spending some time there and pack your patience. Every restaurant is going to have issues every once in a while but 99% of the time this place is awesome. We get the dry rub wings, salad, and the kids cheese sliders. There food is delicious and the Verrado Ale is tasty too. The servers have been great and are always super friendly. It's right on the golf course so the views are nice if you sit outside.
