I absolutely love Verre. I tend to prefer coming here for happy hour, or a glass of wine and appetizers, as their full dinner menu isn't quite as varied. However, the service is wonderful, the happy deals are great and it's a fantastic atmosphere. Any of the bruschettas are amazing, but I suggest the ham and cheese or the brie and apple. The waitress even did everyone the courtesy of reminding them before happy hour was over, so we got a filling snack and two glasses of wine for around $35. The only issue I have encountered is that the first time I went, my friend brought her dog (golden retriever) and had no issue keeping it on the patio with us. However, the second time, a friend called and asked about the dog policy and they said the dog would have to stay outside the patio boundaries. A bit confusing, so I would double check before bringing your furry friend. read more

The service was so bad here. We waited in our outside wine wonderland hut for 20 minutes before our waiter came (had to ask for them). The wine wonderland hut is outside and has no heater... so not sure why the offer this in the winter time? It is nothing special so just sit inside or you will freeze. The General Manager came to apologize and said they would make sure to make things right for the inconvenience. I just asked for a glass of wine and they said they could only do a free desert but not the s'more because it was too big and much. So awkward and uncomfortable because we didn't want anything for free. If anything just give a glass of wine on the house since it's a wine bar. I went here for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. The deals are great for wines, bruschetta, and small plates. The wine selection was also really good for that time. I had their red fruit blend wine with bruschetta (hummus and avocado), duck fat potatoes, and pork belly. Everything was awesome. We have been extremely satisfied upon every visit to Verre Wine Bar, our new favorite restaurant in greater Arlington. The service staff is terrific; Alison, who has waited on us twice, is very knowledgeable about the cheese/charcuterie boards and wine flights. I enjoyed my experience at Verre Wine Bar. They do have a wide variety of wines available, including some great options for wine flights. The waiters/waitresses do a good job of trying to help you select wines based on what you are looking for. The food is decent as well, although a bit on the expensive side. Classy new wine bar in Courthouse area. I had tried coming here a couple times prior and it is always completely packed. It is a small space inside, but hopefully the addition of the patio will seat more. I came here one Saturday afternoon having spent my entire morning in the Apple store and decided it was wine time. Excellent wine selection. They also have a very nice brunch menu and dinner menu available that are not after-thoughts. I ordered the BLT and was very pleased with how fresh and quality everything was. I'd like to say I'll return but in reality I don't know that I'll ever get here in time to score a seat unfortunately. A friend and I met at Verre for HH after work and were happy we did! I tried the Rose and Verdejo wines ($5/glass) and we split a Verre Board (meat and cheese assortment for $20). We also both got one small plate each - the duck fat potatoes and the Brussels sprout salad ($6 each). In my opinion, the small plates were hands down the best part of the experience. They were generously portioned and had amazing amounts of flavor, as well as being super fresh. The wine was decent, and the charcuterie was enjoyable. If I were to come again, I would probably eat the duck fat potatoes until I exploded - they were so delicious! read more

Great patio to enjoy a great happy hour. The HH menu has most items between $5-6. Like any place, the wine can be hit or miss depending on your taste. The food was pretty good. Our favorites include the Brussels salad and the duck fat potatoes. The bruschetta is hit or miss depending on what you get. I liked the pesto one, but not as much the bacon jam. The only real issue for food was the shrimp Sauvignon. The veg was over cooked and watery with a lack of seasoning. One recommendation is to not order everything at once unless you're in a hurry. We ordered 4 small plates for the first round and they all came at the same time. I would recommend them to ask diners if they wanted them like that or staggered. All in all, it's an affordable HH with mostly great good. And if the weather is nice, try to snag a seat outside. read more

We ordered 2 glasses of wine (1 Sauvignon Blanc from France and the other from New Zealand) before going to the nearby Ray's the Steaks (now closed). Their selection of wine by the glass is good and the prices are reasonable. We ordered 3 pieces of bruschetta to tie us over before going to dinner. Those pieces of bruschetta included the following: Toasted Mozzarella with sliced tomato and basil oil, Herbed Italian Ham with mayo-mustard and cornichons, and Bacon Onion Jam Bruschetta with arugula and tomato. All of the slices were delicious, but the Mozzarella and the Ham were my favorites. This is a great spot, and I would go back again. read more

Decided to try Verre today for lunch and I'm so happy I did! It was my first time there and I really enjoyed it - and I didn't even sample the wines, so I'm looking forward to going back. The interior is really nice with a ton of natural light, and their menu is great. They have what I think is an amazing lunch special - a full sandwich, a full side, and a coffee or tea for $9.95. Can you get that anywhere else in Clarendon? I don't think so. I got the chicken and brie sandwich, and our server was very accommodating when I asked for it to be served without bread. I got the Greek salad as my side, and Swings coffee. The sandwich was delicious and was plated very nicely (forgot to take a picture) and the dijonnaise and fig jam on the side were a really nice complement. The Greek salad was nice - great greens, tasty tomatoes, peppers, onions, and great herbed feta with a tasty Greek dressing. My friend got a really hearty-looking sandwich and the Greek salad side. We both felt like this was a great value for a nice lunch! They had lots of other good options, too, so I highly recommend! read more

We ordered the verre cheese & meat board and it was good as an appetizer to share between two people. We ordered the apple pie as well- nothing spectacular but nothing bad either.
