We've wanted to go to this place for some time and finally made it. A sizeable menu of good food options. We kept it simple though since we were going to an event. For an appetizer the Fried Cheese with French Fries. For some reason this surprised me because I was expecting something like Mozzarella Sticks but these were cubes of cheese instead and my wife did a quick Google check and found out that this was a specific type of cheese fried but not breaded. Ummm...for someone who likes fried foods, very delicious. I was not happy when this was done. For the entrée I had a Chicharron de Pollo with Tostones. The chicken was good, the Tostones plentiful. I usually get three or four at a restaurant. There was a lot more than that and I couldn't finish them all. Of course the Mofongo was ordered because why come to a place like this and not order it. I've been to this restaurant at least five times and let me say Tuesdays are definitely not the time to go. There were quite a few things on the menu they were "out of" even though it was 5 PM just a few hours after they opened. I elected to get something new, which was just a grilled chicken breast with rice and beans and salad and the chicken that was served to me was raw when I pointed it out, they brought it back to the kitchen, threw it back on the stove, which is certainly cross-contamination and tried to serve it to me. I asked for a box and immediately threw it in the trash then they charged me for that raw chicken they served. I would suggest going on weekends as it seems to be a different experience. read more

Ok pork and beef are not thst good we order churrasco mofongo. Chimichurri was good. Mofondo was a bit too dry. Pork a bit dry. Rice and abichuelas or beans were great. These are quid pro quo reviews ! Beware of double charges and dishonest behavior here ! I was charged twice for the same meal and when I brought it to their attention -- with receipts proving the duplicate charge -- the staff acted as if it never happened. Instead of resolving the issue, they escalated it unnecessarily and even called the police on me for calmly requesting a refund. Absolutely unacceptable. I have full documentation of the double charge and will be reporting this fraudulent behavior to the appropriate consumer protection agencies. Proceed with caution !!! OMG, we loved it!! I liked the baked chicken seasoned nicely (more than the red stewed chicken) and yellow rice/peas...sorry for not calling the right names of the dishes. The mofongo was pretty good, but not my thing. K liked the stewed goat more than the beef and I liked the ox tails. Jose provided awesome service! You can look at all the food like cafeteria style, but then they bring you the food to the table. The restaurant and bathroom were very clean! I'm Dominican. And usually, we are a friendly bunch, but no one was amicable here. We ordered: Pollo guisado, which had the skin on the chicken, Res guisado: which was dry. Chicken empanadas: the meat was finely chopped; the texture was almost like a chicken tuna or paste. We ordered Morir soñando, which was very milky and not as balanced as I know Morir soñando to be. Overall, I gave it a 3, being that the food was mostly seasoned with just salt and no other distinguishable flavors Or seasonings that make up Dominican cuisines such as garlic or oregano, or cilantro. The prices aren't terrible, but they included the tips in the total, even for two people, which is awful because we would have tipped more, but being that it's included, we left it at the small amount they chose for themselves. read more

Asked for water again and server brought me a bottle opened and poured already and dropped it and left. When he returns I asked him if they only served bottled water. While he was adjusting the bill I tried to soften my comments about the water which he cut me off and said it's done. Someone recommended this place and as a Puertorrican I was looking forward to try it, especially taste the mofongo. I ordered the mofongo and seafood platter. It had a weird pumpkin sauce. The lobster was overcooked, all the (scant and strange) seafood in the plate tasted old and yucky. The one shrimp that I found tasted like carton, as well as the mofongo, this one was so dry and tasteless. THIS WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE DISH THAT I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE!!!
