Absolutely amazing hidden gem in Ocean Beach California. All the artwork is local artist's crafts and there's a huge variety of selections from plants, wall art, candles, jewelry, cards, and kids toys. Everything is completely unique and you'll find something new in every corner. I could honestly spend hours in here looking at all the unique pieces. It's definitely in a hip neighborhood in Ocean Beach and the entire store reflects that. Its location is in a great spot with lots of restaurants within walking distance. There's also a kids corner in the back where children can play with the stuffed animals and draw on the chalkboard, which is a cute addition to the charm of the place. The owner, Aaron, is incredibly nice and it's always great to have conversation with him. He owns and works the store and is very passionate about building community within the artists and neighborhood! There is lots of street parking in front of the shop however it does get crowded during peak hours. I would highly recommend coming here and seeing what they have to offer! read more

Vervor shop is a nifty store selling many local art pieces that you can rarely find anywhere else. Pros: The staff here are very welcoming and helpful. The amount of items they are selling are very unique in style which makes it a great spot to find hidden treasures and art for your home or office. I got a real cool art piece of the La Jolla shores painted on a raised board. Pictures of the art piece to come soon on my wall. It's a small shop but packed full of great finds for anyone looking for cool pieces! The owner is really kind and welcoming! There is also a nice dog who lives next door who likes to say hi! Cons: Parking is tough as it's only street parking. It is free parking if you're able to find one. There are no bathrooms inside. Proves here are on the more expensive side but makes sense as most of the items they sell are one of kind art pieces or nick nacks. Verdict: I'd recommend this shop to anyone looking for cool art pieces or want to spend a few hours getting lost in the art and nick nacks. read more

VERVOR SHOP This store opened about 4 years ago located in Ocean Beach! There are over 300+ artists, which is amazing especially supporting small local business, this is the spot to drop by. I really enjoyed all the small items they had, coming along side to the posters, paintings, candles, and much more. The prices can be a bit high, however it's worth the high quality and design of each art product. The service is great, the owner Aaron, is extremely nice! Parking is street, it's super easy to find one. I'd recommend stopping by this place, I purchase the facial toner and hair oil! read more

Stopped in here to see if they sell gift cards (after my experience at OB hardware I was worried). They do not have gift cards but Aaron was happy to accommodate me by essentially making one via email that I can give to my coworker who is an OB resident and wants to support her local businesses. They had lots of cool stuff in there (I was on a mission to get what I needed and get out) but it seems like a place where you can find unique items for lots of people in your life. I will definitely be back to check them out when I am in a mood to shop/browse. Thankful for a business person who was willing to work with me to accomplish my goal of giving someone who enjoys this story a gift card to shop with. read more

I've worked with many different graphics companies over the year and hands down Vervor is one of the best. Aaron was professional, quick to respond to messages, made edits quickly and was always asking for input on what the changes were. I wanted something clean and timeless. The Lot is very unique in that they not only serve as a movie theater, but have a full-service dinner and bar area as well. Adjoining ASA Bakery is also on-site, serving creative, too-pretty-to-eat pastries and matcha drinks. Honestly, the $24 price tag for a movie experience might seem steep, but other movies theaters are in and around that price anyways. At The Lot, at least you're getting comfortable, plush seats, a seemingly private viewing experience with your partner in your recline-ready love seat, food and drink wait service at your seat (if you desire it), and superb picture with okay enough sound. On that note, some cons: -We recently watched The Odyssey and some of the scenes were blaringly LOUD to the point where my ears felt like they could bleed. They do not divulge their sound system either, only that it's "high-end". The sound could definitely use better balance. -Mentioned love seats are very apparent upon booking now, making selection easy with no confusion. The theaters do cater to them so if you're in a group, you'll feel far from them. -Try as we might to pay in person, we could not avoid the service fee applied to all sales. Service fees are my biggest gripe, enough to teeter this rating. The atmosphere though is rather spectacular, so some things are to be ignored. -No true matinee prices unless you're a member. $20-22, otherwise, on Wednesday's for non-members.

Each visit (three separate occasions), something I've ordered was either forgotten or brought out very late. On this particular visit (Fri, July 3rd), I went to see a movie for my birthday. Unfortunately, due to public transportation, I was unable to make it to the theater as early as I wanted. My movie started @ 1:30, but I didn't make it inside until about 1:40 or so. The trailers were still playing, but the lights were off inside and the other guests seemed to already have their food/drinks. So, I attribute some of the mishap to that. However, there were less than ten people in the theater. So, keep that in mind as well. I ordered poke nachos, a popcorn, and a soda. Pretty simple order, right? My "host" brought out the popcorn + drink pretty swiftly. The popcorn tasted stale, just like another time I'd visited. Even though I'm pretty sure their 1:30 movies are their first showing. About halfway through the movie, I pressed the call button because I still hadn't received my nachos. The host said, "They might be ready now. Let me check." Translation: "I forgot them." That was pretty annoying. Especially as this is the third time something like this has occurred at The Lot. And I've only been three times in total. Luckily, the popcorn was free because it was my birthday, which I had to remind the host twice before he tried charging me. Do not order it unless you enjoy stale popcorn. The nachos and ginger ale were tasty, though. Overall, the vibe/setup is nice for viewing films. I only which the service and attention to detail was better.

[Merchandise]: This is probably one of the very few Japanese specialty gift shops in San Diego with a small section on Japanese stationery. Other items include tableware (plates, bowls, ceramic, and porcelain pieces), drinkware (mugs, glasses, teacups, and teapots), vases, plants, terrariums, and other cute Japanese trinkets / decor. [Conclusion]: This is one of the best Japanese giftware shops I have seen in San Diego; otherwise you will have to drive to Los Angeles for similar gift shops. Located in Downtown, it can be a bit of a pain to get to with all the parking and such, but it's totally worth it! Walking inside, I was immediately overwhelmed with the need to buy everything. There were gorgeous dishware, homeware, jewelry, stationery, incense, and more! If you're just getting into matcha, this is also a great place to start. They've got all your essentials, a good selection of matcha, and the cutest chawans! Best part is that everything is quite reasonable in price for the quality that you get. Do stop by the next time you're in the mood to peruse!

There is an indoor (wooden) dance floor but most people prefer to be outside on the tile. There is also a bar set up - and a plastic dome (for who or what?). Restrooms are downstairs by the arcade. Being upstairs provides a bit of a view - in almost all directions. It's a very nice atmosphere in which to dance (or enjoy any social event). Come check it out.

Each new find is beautiful and unique (and you spot a new one every time you blink!!) The store is exceptionally well displayed with lots of content without the clutter feel. The owner/ staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable without being over bearing so I was free (actually encouraged) to take my time and explore. Did I mention the prices are very reasonable? With the weekend sale of 50% off I felt like a thief!! It was a wonderful experience from the moment I peeped in and lasted the rest of the night as I admired my amazing finds! Not only is Rich Life a great store, it's a great experience as well!!! Love love love it!
