I let her know about my shoulder and neck being knotted from working at a desk and also doing a lot of weightlifting. I also let my masseuse know that I had an arm tattoo that is still healing (at 4 weeks post-tat, I still didn't want any oil or rubbing on it) and she was super accommodating to this request!
