Food - Impressive range of options, and generally well-executed. Love the create-your-own plate option. Portions sometimes feel a little small for the $$, but it's enough to fill you up and definitely better than your average takeaway place. The variety makes it a no-brainer to satisfy the varying tastes of a picky group of eaters. I've ordered from the Midvale and Sugarhouse ones, and the food was slightly better from Sugarhouse. Wow. This place was loud. It's pricey. The food was good but their ordering system sucks. With the paper menus then stand in line. You can't see what you're ordering but the descriptions sound good. I would have liked to walk and order scoops. Vs getting their portioned sides. The beef was under seasoned but the kale salad and the Brussels sprouts were delicious I will give it another try. We have been super busy and are not in the mood to cook. As a result, we have been eating a lot of fast food. Tonight we decided to try a healthier option and ordered out from Vessel Kitchen. For $30, we got the family of four meal. We chose the pork, the Brussels sprouts, the couscous, and the spaghetti squash. We paid ahead of time and found the takeout process to be super easy. Our food was on time and as soon as we pulled up outside, a staff member came out and took care of us right away. Regarding the food, I was really pleased. The food is extremely fresh and such a nice change from fast food. I'd say the pork was a little salty. Other than that, no complaints. We had a good meal for tonight and food leftover for tomorrow as well. We will definitely be back. read more

Reply to owners comment below: The whole point is your staff needs to do a better job. I shouldn't have to heat up my food. The falafel was served lukewarm and the naan bread was room temperature. Naan bread should be heated up and the Falafel should be served hot fresh out of the fryer, same goes for the pita sticks! My Original Review: I ordered the Falafel Tacos with a Pita+Hummus side and I know the food is going to taste good once I warm it up, but I shouldn't have to. Who likes cold Falafel on cold Naan bread? Its hard to heat up because you have to remove the hummus and Israeli Salad first. Also fried pita sticks should be warm as well. Really disappointing because the quality and ingredients of the food is superb. OK so not bad, but the Falafel at Cafe Mambo in Maui I used to make was much better and would probably pair better with some Tzatziki or Mango Salsa. Also fried pita sticks are nowhere as good as simple grilled pita bread and the hummus we made was much more flavorful with the right amount lemon and tahini. SO happy that Vessel finally opened a location closer to my home. I get legitimate cravings for their poke bowl. It is the perfect combination of flavors and the tuna is always so fresh. Was relieved that the quality at Midvale location was perfectly consistent with the dishes they have at their Park City location. My husband loves the hash hash and all their keto options... the prices are totally reasonable based on portion sizes. From the food to the service (couldn't believe how dialed their staff was - even on opening day) the attention to detail is apparent. I submitted a take out order online and bypassed the line. Absolutely loved all the vegan options here! Their sides are to die for and so full of flavor. Our favorite side was the couscous because of the sesame flavor that came along with it. The other best option is the falafel! It's the best falafel I've had from any restaurant. So well done because it's soft on the inside but yet crisp and crunchy on the outside. My husband and I stopped at Vessel Kitchen for a Sunday lunch, and it did not disappoint! As someone who doesn't tolerate gluten, it was great to see that the majority of the menu was gluten free, and if it was not it was clearly marked as such. The food here really just feels like a good home cooked meal, and I love being able to go out of my home and get that same experience. I like what Vessel is doing, I just wish my taste buds were more on board. I've been to this location a few times and each time, I try to change up my order, hoping to get a different flavor experience. But each time, I sit there eating my meal thinking, "I'm not really enjoying my food." I mean, is that sad or what?! To be honest, everything just kind of tastes the same. I order a different variety every time I go, but I just feel like it's the same flavor profile no matter what I try to change. It's uber healthy and fresh, and this-free and that-free and I'm guessing that that is why it all tastes very similar to me. Great food. Bad service. I didn't get any eye contact from the cashier when I paid. The plate bins were over flowing. The tables were filthy. The paper may that my plate came on was dirty when it was handed to me. There were at least 6 employees behind the register. Sorry y'all- not sure I understand the hype. The shining star of this place is the meat options. I've tried the beef & chicken, and both have been great as far as preparation and flavor go. All of the sides I've tried (which is most of the menu) are just meh. Inconsistent with both preparation and temperature, which is hard to keep consistent with this cafeteria style setting, which is why I'm usually not a huge fan of these types of restaurants in the first place. I'm willing to give it a few more tries because Utah is in love with this place, but so far the price point and quality of food are not on the same level for me personally. read more

Vessel has what My family and I need, amazing customer service and an amazing menu that always leaves us satisfied and feeling better then when We arrived. They pull it off every time for a price and device way better then a cafe rio or any other chain restaurant while keeping everything fresh and local. This place is a must dine at restaurant for family's, dates, or a quick on the fly individual meal. I don't know of another restaurant that can pack quality and flavor in every bite that far out-ways the price. It's very Cattle style, where you walk in you stand in line, you get up to the front and you're expected to order and know exactly what you want. To be fair, they do have menus right as you walk in so that you can read them and see what you want... But it is kind of hard to order on the spot especially for a place you've never been to before. I have never had a better dining experience! It was very busy, and the Head Chef Roe'e Levy was wonderful. He went out of his way to accommodate a very hungry 5-year-old. First time in...and, like a good Yelper, I leaned on the online community for guidance. Glad I did. Vessel has been in this spot for a few months, and it is catching on with the area. Our Friday early-evening visit juuuust got in before a rush (after 6:30) that filled every table and was turning people into takeout orders. Every other review offers a briefing on the order-pay-serve process, so I won't give another rundown...other than to say it was efficient. Dinner was delivered 5-7 minutes after ordering. The Hash-Hash is nothing like the hash you may have experienced in other diner settings. The shredded beef at the center of the dish is very good. Tender, obviously well sourced, and very flavorful. Sitting on a bed of sweet potatoes, and dressed with a good sauce and pickled onions. Well done. Our other order was built around their "midwinter plate" which offers a protein and two sides. The falafel was solid...the flavors in the Brussel Sprouts side were very good. We selected two sides as appetizer, based on recommendations...and the hummus and pita chips did not disappoint. If anything tempered our enthusiasm, it was the tepid temperature of the food, primarily the mains and sides. Warm...yes. Hot? No. This may be a function of the "cafeteria line" approach to assembling the food. All-in-all a good first experience, and we look forward to venturing deeper into the menu next visit. The restaurant is strong in messaging its sourcing, and the product seems to mirror that approach to good ingredients. Unlike some of the earlier reviews, I did not feel the pricing was excessive...nor did we consider the portions small. But this is not a cheap fast food setting. Their vegetables are delicious and I always try to get one of the new side options when ordering a plate! However, my favorite sides are the beets or the Brussels sprouts! They are so good! Didn't really think it was worth the cost. Some side dishes are better than others. I asked if I could split my side, with half being from one and half from the other so I could sample the items because I told him I was a first-timer.
