They started out great 11 months ago. Then it appears the people they have working for them just don't care. We have had nothing but bad service that we have put up with since February. They have not cleaned the filters ever and rarely put chemicals in. They automatically charge extra for filter cleaning but never do it. We called several times and finally talked to Max, the owner, and he removed 2 of them. Several times no one even came for weekly service. The new tech refuses to vacuum and barely brushes the walls. The pool is green and I am finished with this company.

They send pictures after every service.

Their service is great. My last Pool guy was showing up three times a month and still charging me for four hoping I wouldn't notice. When Vetrans Pool Service came out for the first time and checked my levels, I had almost no chlorine in my pool and the other levels were way off. They send a text message when they are on their way, another when they are done, & email after every service showing pictures of the pool and the chemical level tester. It's nice knowing the pool is actually getting done and not have to monitor it. I got multiple quotes before choosing Vetrans Pool Service and they were the best priced as well. Highly recommend!

My tenants are ex marines and ex airforce. You will have to call a different company to service the pools.

Terrible! Do you want green and black pools? Do you want to keep chasing down the owner to ask them when they will be servicing your pools? Las Vegas and Henderson. They kept promising to service the pools every week. Our tenants are ex marines, ex airforce and they kept complaining that they would never show as promissed or would stop by to take photos of the pool and tell me they had it on camera but nothing was done yet they sent photos after they left. They put one chlorine tablet per week. How can you put one tablet in at 13-14,000 gallon pool and expect it not to green or black? We had to spend for acid washes after we fired them. They don't give their random inexperienced high school kids which arrived in a old sedan without training or supplies to service pools. They only used one tablet which caused green algae and black mold in the pools. He doesn't care about how bad the service is for his customers. You will have to call multiple times a day to get him to service. But if you spend over a thousand they are supposed to be licensed. It really is like a scam. Sounds harsh but it is all true. I have tons of photos and complaints from tenants that it would take the whole day to paste them up here.

Extremely bad company. And we're exmilitary.

Max took the time to explain to me what had been going on not only with them not getting back to me but also with my pool turning green.

He always follows through on every instruction I provide, and week after week, the service is thorough and reliable. I've worked with two other pool service companies in the past, and neither comes close. They usually started off strong, but their quality quickly declined over time. In previous years, poor maintenance even caused my pool to turn completely green. Since switching to Priority Pools, I haven't had that issue once. I don't often go out of my way to recommend companies, but Priority Pools--and especially Alejandro--have absolutely earned my trust.

In that time: * The heater has failed twice (and is currently not working again) * The chlorinator has been replaced * The pool lights have been replaced twice * The silver quartz finish already looks stained and bleached Maybe some of this is poor Hayward Industries equipment, but it's hard to know because the service tech changes constantly -- about every 6 weeks -- so there's zero accountability or continuity. This is a saltwater pool, yet instead of properly diagnosing or maintaining the chlorinator system, they routinely dump gallons of liquid chlorine into the pool every week. Actual "service" often feels limited to: * Emptying the leaf basket * Lightly brushing the pool * Adding chemicals And nearly everything beyond that becomes an extra charge: * Chemicals? Extra. * Filter cleaning? Extra. * Repairs? Extra. * Someone coming out because the system they maintain stopped working? Extra. Worse, many of the techs seemed unfamiliar with how the equipment even operates, making service calls frustrating and unproductive. What really bothered me was adding up the actual cost over three years. Once you include all the side charges, repair calls, chemical add-ons, and maintenance fees, the true cost is easily several times higher than the advertised "weekly service" price. The marketing and online reputation look polished, but our real-world experience has been expensive, inconsistent, and lacking accountability.

Payless and get more! Chant it loud and proud so that the folks in the back are reminded of a funny…read moremarketing phrase of yesteryear, where the consumer truly felt like the service received is commensurate with the payment rendered. Nowadays, pay more and get less has become a far more common trope than people realize. Consider it a sign of the times; a blight in the era of post-inflationary prices, where the sticker shock still holds you hostage in your own home, twists your arm and makes you scream uncle until you forfeit over your credit card because your options are as limited as buffet choices in this town, but I digress. This isn't a review about spoiled imitation crab cakes and all you can eat Doritos at The Feast (or was it The Beast?), but instead, it's about three guys doing the lords work and saving Vegas pools one acid wash at a time - spoiler alert - (whispers) they do SO MUCH more than just scrub plaster and blast tiles. More on that in a bit. Payless Pool Service became a family favorite, so-much-so, that we've used their service a handful of times in the past year and we don't plan on using anyone else to come near our pools. Jaded pool guys with a bad tan and every other word uttered being "bruh" is not part of the Payless credo as these classy chaps exemplify the professional attitude you come to expect from a family run business. With Steve running point and Danny and Diego on the wings grinding away calcium buildup on tiles and plaster, you can rest assured that you have experts that are committed to getting the job done right the first time. Let's start with the initial call. Steve promptly answered and said he could stop by the next day to assess the condition of my pool. Upon arrival, Steve took some measurements and asked if we'd like to also sandblast the tiles, as the calcium buildup was enough to start our own cheese farm. He showed us some pictures of the work his crew had done in the past and it didn't take much to convince us that along with the acid wash, the tiles DEFINITELY needed some much-needed TLC (see photos and compare for yourself). As far as pricing goes, I personally thought the quote was more than reasonable for both mine and my parents pool, especially when you consider how much work these guys did in the span of a few days. Not only did Diego and Danny sandblast the tiles back to 2004, they even made the plaster whiter than Erik Estrada's smile. Additionally, I had asked Steve if they could install a new vacuum side port, and without hesitation he said, "not a problem, we'll take care of it." (gasp!) Come again? You'll take care of it and not nickel and dime me!?! How refreshing that there are people out there willing to go above and beyond for a job, which just tickled my heart. It's the small things/gestures which makes a business shine in the eyes of the customer, because it's such a trivial thing for them that it didn't require a separate quote. Same with Diego when he finalized my parents' job. They just purchased a new Zodiac MX6 vacuum and needed help with the initial operation. Without hemming and hawing or hand-wringing or face contorting, he said "SURE!" took the vacuum and its hoses out of the box and showed us step-by-step how to get the most out of it over time. These guys are such a delight to work with that I think the three of them should hold a TED talk for a lot of other contractors and service technicians in the valley on how to exhibit a professional demeanor, while still remaining affable and relatable to your customers. Kudos! Total time was no more than three days from drain to fill on both pools, which is about the amount of time it took you to read this Yelp! review, right? ;) Additionally, Diego returned and balanced the chemicals, took care of cleaning the pool filters and vacuuming up the remaining sand left behind. Payless also covers a whole litany of other services for your pool. We even asked about re-plastering and resurfacing the Kool/Cool Deck at some point in the future, and along with our initial encounter with Payless, they even repair old Jandy Valves. If you're looking for someone that values your time, gives you top notch service and isn't trying to bleed you dry with outrageous pricing that is so prevalent these days, please consider giving Steve and his guys at Payless a call for a quote.

-- Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated…read more I rarely write reviews, but I feel a responsibility to warn other homeowners about my experience with Big George's Pool Care. After a detailed and explicit conversation with the owner about not cleaning the filters on the road (due to HOA rules and the mess it leaves behind for me and my neighbors), they completely disregarded my request and did it anyway. This was not only disrespectful but also a clear violation of our community guidelines--something I made very clear upfront. On top of that, my spa was clogged for over a month, which I had to constantly bring to their attention. The clog caused a severe calcium buildup that destroyed the look of my tile. Instead of taking accountability, the owner brushed it off with, "Calcium builds up over time," and said I would need to pay another companymore to remove it. That's not just poor service--it's negligent. I've lived in my home for 7 years and never had buildup like this. My previous pool service would catch early signs and make recommendations before it got out of hand. Big George's took no such proactive care. Now I'm left with a spa that's downright ugly and embarrassing, and frankly, I feel taken advantage of. What was supposed to be regular pool maintenance turned into a costly headache. This is not professional service. This is a warning to anyone considering Big George's Pool Care: look elsewhere unless you want to clean up after them--literally and financially.
