Not only did we come here for our pup after he got attacked by a german Rottie, but today they were kind enough to euthanize an injured opossum we found on our drive home. We normally rehab opossums ourselves but this little girl's injuries were wayy too significant for our pay-grade of care. She was bleeding out of her mouth... they gave us the Good Samaritan discount and euthanized her for free. After leaving a different place and being forced to pay $250 to try and help an injured opossum, we left disgruntled and frankly pissed off! We decided to call the place that took Max in for his injuries, and hoped that they would help us with this too, and they definitely came through! Lovely and caring staff! HIGHLY RECOMMEND for emergencies!

Thank you for saving my baby and dealing with my panic. Athena says thanks as well. Everyone was so kind and helpful.

Juno after treatment. No more swollen face. Back to her happy, silly self!!

My new fur baby Juno had to go here, she had an allergic reaction to one of her vaccines. I was a mess! Crying as we walked in. Every single person I saw was so beyond friendly. I cannot thank everyone there enough. The vet even called us a couple days later to check on how Juno was doing. I am so deeply touched by the kindness this staff showed. You all are amazing people. I can never thank you guys enough! Juno also sends her love!

if i could rate this place 0 stars i would. - i brought my dog here for the first time for an emergency as he fell out the car on the way to big bear. we were extremely concerned that his front right leg was broken and called prior to showing up that we need his leg checked out. we got to the vet and after everything they charged us close to $3K to sedate him just to shave and clean wounds to tell us that it's "superficial/minior abrasions" , got an xray of everything except for his arm that we are concerned might be broken. they keep claiming that our dog was fine and was putting pressure on his front right leg and was able to walk. they swore up and down that when they brought him out he was walking, but he never was. since the time we brought him in around 6/7PM until 10/11PM we never saw him walk or put pressure on his front right leg. it is now the next day and he still isn't putting any pressure on that leg, he falls straight to the floor when he tries to walk. they told me they would send all the invoices and xray scans to my email but they didn't i had to call and ask them to just to find out they didn't even bother to check his arm at all and said it was only recommended to scan his chest area. they just looked at his arm and said it was fine without scanning it. we kept asking why they didn't xray it even though he wasn't walking on it and then she finally stated that we should come back and get his arm xrayed and we asked if it was going to be free service since they never bothered to check in the first place and she told us no almost laughing at us. he was so scared from the fall he also had pooped on himself and they didn't even bother to clean it off of him and send him home with dried poop all on his tail and butt. we waited 6 hours just for them to tell us all he needed was to be cleaned up... this place doesn't care about your dog they just want your money! FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE IF POSSIBLE

Absolutely stellar service, extremely kind, caring, and compassionate staff and vets. Will be using them from now on. Caring staff, and professional care for my animal, and reasonable pricing, prompt and courteous service. Best vet clinic in area, and I've been to a lot in Redlands and Loma Linda. Top Tier. pet service and support.

We had to put our beLOVEd cat to sleep yesterday. Since it was an emergency hospital, we couldn't just show up at the appointment time but wait about 90 minutes, which was hard but I understand other pets had emergency situations. The all female staff (?) were kind, calm, and wonderful. This team must enjoy working together. The process was polished and caring, and Dr. Crossin made us feel like she's known us and our little boy for years. I miss him so much already and I'm happy this place was here for us. ************************ I'm surprised at how low the Yelp rating is here. My best guess is that when people love an animal and have to spend big bucks on emergency surgeries and such, the frustration bleeds thru to reviews. In life or death scenarios, our emotions run high and sometimes expect too much from people who can only do so much? Nothing about our experience here indicated haphazard or inconsiderate care, for what that's worth.

On the early morning of May 7th, I brought my dog in for labored breathing. After X-rays, the vet determined he had an asthma attack caused by allergies and that his lungs were inflamed. They administered an injection to calm his breathing and sent us home with steroids. However, by 4:00 AM on May 8th, his breathing was still strained, so we returned. He received another injection and a prescription for Albuterol. Unfortunately, the pharmacy process became a nightmare. A local CVS could not fill the script due to technical errors in the way it was written. I then placed an order through Chewy.com on the morning of May 8th. By May 10th, Chewy confirmed they were still waiting for the clinic's approval. When I called the clinic to follow up, I had the misfortune of speaking with Naomi. I explained that my dog had been struggling to breathe for two days and asked why the approval was being delayed. She was incredibly rude and insensitive. When I expressed my desperation to get my dog his medication, she told me that if he couldn't breathe, I should simply "take him to a different clinic." When I told her I was going to bring him back to AEC, she said they were no longer accepting patients today. When I asked to speak to someone else besides her, she placed me on hold for 25 minutes. When I tried to call back three times from my own phone, the calls were sent immediately to hold. Suspecting I was being screened, I called from a friend's phone, Naomi answered immediately. When I asked why I was being sent straight to hold, she stated she would leave me there until she had "new information." I was so shocked with her condescending tone. I even asked if she was hearing the way she was speaking to me, she replied, "Yes, I am," and put me back on hold. After being left back on hold for several minutes, I hung up and called back. Bella answered the phone. She was the complete opposite of Naomi. Bella went out of her way to help me. I told her I no longer wanted to wait for the approval for Chewy to fill the order and was going to see if I could fill the prescription at Walmart. Bella called around to different Walmart locations to confirm they had the Albuterol in stock. Thanks to Bella, I finally have the medication. While I appreciate the medical diagnosis and Bella's help, Naomi's lack of compassion was unacceptable. No pet owner in distress should be treated with such hostility, especially when the delay involves watching their beloved pet suffering. If you bring your pet here, please be cautious of Naomi's involvement in your care. I have seen other reviews talk about an emergency vet in Redlands. I was not aware there was one. I can't imagine returning to this clinic now after the treatment I received from Naomi.

Why didn't lower the Stars from two to last, I wanted to express something that I just learned that has me extremely frustrated. Our dog has been taken pill twice a day for the past number of years for skin condition. Now this was diagnosed properly and has definitely helped. My frustration stems from the fat that I just learned that this medication does not require a prescription that I've been forced to get and take my dog in for an exam regularly paying additional on money. The medication is "animal biome skin rescue". Due to issues with the veterinarian at animal medical Center of Redlands (Dr. Cain), we changed vets to one that has been around in the current location since the 1960s and I used to take our animals too when I was a child. They've done a fantastic job and have a very caring staff and medical staff. When I went down to get a prescription this medication, this is where I found out that it's over the counter and does not require a witten prescription. If for any reason I'm asked to give one when ordering the medications online, they let me know that I wouldn't need it, so they just made the refills PRN, which means in medical terminology " as needed". This gives me the ability to retain the prescription for as long as I need and not have to go in and get some sort of false exam and be charged another 40 to $50 and use the prescription if for some reason I need one. It's really sad because we used animal medical Center in Redlands for decades. Ever since Dr. Burch has retired, it seems like the new medical staff has really brought down the quality. So sad to see this because Dr. Burch is an amazing man and we really loved having him care for our animals for so many years.

She was…read moreotherwise in fairly good health and had no respiratory or other symptoms--this was the only issue we were seeing besides the bleeding. We discussed amputation as a way to prevent this from happening again. She stayed overnight on Wednesday, March 25. The next morning they took X-rays of her tail and chest and ran bloodwork. Later that day, Dr. Farag called to say they saw nodules in her chest and that it could possibly be metastasis/tumor or a fungal infection. Because of those findings, he recommended we not proceed with the tail surgery and that we see a specialist. He did say her bloodwork looked fairly okay for her age and that she seemed healthy overall. However, when I picked her up Thursday night and brought her home, she was extremely lethargic. I called immediately and spoke with the front desk about her being unusually low-energy. I was told she received a sedative and that more than a normal amount was given to keep her calm and prevent her from wagging her tail. They said if she still seemed that way the next day, I should bring her back, but otherwise to monitor her over the next few days. On Monday morning, March 30 (about four days after being there), I woke up at 3:30 a.m. to my dog struggling to breathe and unable to hold her head up. Within 10 minutes, she died. It was extremely sudden, and it didn't make sense to me given that she had never shown breathing issues prior to this. The next day I called, but Dr. Farag wasn't available. They told me he would call me back; I never received a call. About a week later, I called again from the original number and explained what happened. The front desk seemed honestly confused by how sudden it was. The following day Dr. Farag called me back. I was not satisfied with how defensive he was or how dismissive he became. I asked whether there was any explanation for how she died so suddenly and whether the sedative could have played a role, especially since I had been told more than the normal amount was given. He immediately said the information I was given was wrong, and then he started reading off doses while telling me to look them up online so that I could see the proper dose was given. He also added in there that it wasn't his practice and that it wasn't his fault or responsibility if the front desk gave me incorrect information amount the dose given. He also ended the call by saying she wasn't a healthy patient, which directly contradicted what he'd told me initially. I understand they found abnormalities in her chest on the X-ray. But for her to die within four days, after being active and otherwise fine beforehand, did not sit right with me. I wasn't calling to accuse anyone--I wanted answers, clarity, and compassion. I also want to note that I'm truly grateful for the vet techs and the front desk staff. They were helpful and empathetic throughout the process. My complaint is specifically with the doctor's responses--his defensiveness and lack of empathy--when I was simply trying to understand what happened. In the end, between wrapping her tail, X-rays, bloodwork, and the radiologist review, I spent around $1,300. It feels unbearable to say, but I feel like I spent $1,300 and went through all of that just for my dog to die shortly after. No it's not about the money if I could've spent thousands more just to keep her here I would have, but I feel I was given false hope when being told that she was fairly healthy, especially since I can see with my own eyes that she was a healthy and active dog. I know you can't predict certain things, but none of it makes sense, considering she never displayed any signs of her being unhealthy. If you bring your senior dog--or any dog--to this clinic, please be cautious. I just wish I had been given more clarity and kindness when I needed answers most. Also, since Dr. Farag was so quick to explain this wasn't his practice, and that misinformation given to me about his patient (my dog) has nothing to do with him, for whoever does own this practice, I would reconsider who you choose to assist with your business.

My dog is a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois who has been going to the same vets since she was a puppy and normally does VERY well during visits. Unfortunately, the customer service and overall handling of my dog at this location was very disappointing. At our regular veterinary clinic, the staff always take a moment to greet my dog first, lets her sniff their hands, and help her feel comfortable since she is the patient. Here, both the technician and the doctor came into the room and immediately began trying to handle and examine her without taking any time to introduce themselves to her or build any level of trust. Because of that, my dog quickly became nervous and uneasy. At the follow-up appointment, the same technician entered the room abruptly and when my dog growled out of fear, she responded by saying, "Oh, you're not nice." Not only was that comment unprofessional and unnecessary, but she also used words my dog actually recognizes as negative trigger words associated with bad people ("not nice"). Instead of attempting to calmly work with a nervous dog, it felt like my dog was immediately labeled as a problem. The overall bedside manner and approach toward both my dog and me felt rushed and dismissive. Instead of taking a moment to build trust and make the environment less stressful, the interaction only made things worse. The next morning (due to a cancellation), I was able to take my dog back to our regular vet, where the staff greeted her warmly, handled her with patience, and the visit went perfectly--as it always does. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend going to a standalone veterinary clinic instead. Compassion, patience, and proper handling make a huge difference when it comes to veterinary care, and unfortunately that was not our experience here. Most importantly, trust your dog's cues--they know when something isn't right and know exactly how to communicate to you.
