Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

The appointment which typically takes 2-3 hours ended up taking 1.5 hours. They request payment and tip before they bring you your pet. I had some feedback that I shared with the manager and they reassured me that they care deeply about the salon and grooming service so I know they're working on improvements. They were happy to take my dog back to another cleaning, but I didn't have the time. I appreciate the time and effort the manager took to call and chat about my feedback.

We brought him in at 13 weeks to the EveryPup Program, where he is in a clean and disinfected facility with other safe and healthy pups and he gets training every day by Dave. Almost from day 1 we started noticing huge changes, and he matured so rapidly it's like we have a different dog! He is very calm, polite and attentive, and has been able to self-regulate so well. Dave is always available for our questions and follow ups, and he sends over progress notes and photos every day from training sessions. We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. We also appreciated how fast and quickly they acted on our puppy swallowing something he shouldn't have, and immediately gave him some hydrogen peroxide to get him to throw it up, which saved us from extremely expensive and likely traumatic vet visits and possible surgery. Very grateful! Every day we pick up our puppy he is so happy from a day of playing and getting love from all the staff, and is tired and ready for some cuddles and naps when he gets home. I was able to get an appointment on the morning of the third day, she weighed only 5.4lbs, down from her usual 6+. The vet tech and Dr. Wang were wonderful with her and very patient with all my questions and explanations (as was the staff member on the phone the late afternoon before when I made the appointment). She was given a 10-15 minute hydration infusion as well as injections for nausea and reflux (because of all the vomiting). I also authorized a blood panel. She still didn't eat that day, but the next day woke up with a roaring (yapping?) appetite and all her spunk back. Dr. Wang called me to see how she was doing and to send me the results of the blood panel which he explained was good. He suspects it was pancreatitis and because this is the first time she experienced it at her age, he thinks it will not be chronic. Many thanks to Dr. Wang, a very patient and thorough vet, and the vet tech and staff, for getting us through this.

I want to start by saying that the package I ultimately received was very beautiful and I am very happy with the physical products I received from this company. They did well in honoring my best friend and providing me with cherished mementos. The mementos were the main draw for me when I chose Angel Paw/ Loving Pet. My dog Lucky had cancer, and although I was starting to emotionally prepare myself for the end of his life, his death came suddenly. I was alone with him when it happened and I felt panicked and anguished about what would have to come next. I should have stopped and called our vet and asked them to hold his body for me while I figured things out, but instead I immediately started trying to find an aquamation service that had the mementos I knew I would need to grieve and remember Lucky. So I turned to Loving Pet/Angel Paw. Their website looked so clean and modern! I was impressed so I filled out a form and they called me very quickly. A van was dispatched to my home and arrived in 2 hours. The driver who picked up Lucky from me told me the process would take 2 weeks. Loving Pet/ Angel Paw promised cutting edge technology that would keep grieving pet parents in the loop every step of the way of the cremation process. It's proudly proclaimed in their About Us story that the whole point is to keep families away from the nightmare of not knowing. I was stuck in that nightmare of not knowing for a month. If you're stuck waiting, please know you will get your pet, but it will take a month. I was in agony thinking I had chosen wrong, or that I got scammed and I would never get Lucky back ever again. I did get Lucky back and so will you. You unfortunately just need to keep waiting. The app never updated with any of the steps of Lucky's aquamation process. After 2 weeks I started calling and calling and calling. I left messages with my phone number asking for a call back that never came. I had more success with emailing them. I would recommend emailing if calling isn't working. The explanation for the delay was The Weather. Southern California was experiencing torrential unrelenting rain earlier this past spring. Fair enough. 3 Weeks after they picked up Lucky from me, someone responds to my email saying Lucky would be shipped to me. They don't provide me with a tracking number even when I ask. At this point I am having slightly more luck getting them on the phone. A few days after I asked for the tracking number via email, I call and a Lovely man who said his name was Jeff answered. Lucky had not been shipped out yet after all, BUT Jeff does reassure me that Lucky's cremation package was ready to go and would be shipped ASAP. And it was. So shout out to Jeff for that one. I get a text message later that same day with the UPS label. Overall this experience was unpleasant. Complete lack of communication with grieving pet parents. I would not recommend this cremation company to anybody in the future. But if you've already chosen Loving Pet/ Angel Paw, please just wait it out. Your baby will be home soon.

She did this at a point where I took my dog as a last ditch effort. My dog has extreme allergies (both food and environmental) and scratches ALL day long (if she's not eating or sleeping, she is scratching). Her skin was in terrible condition and she had been ripping her hair out and causing hot spots. When I say I took the dog in horrible condition, I am not exaggerating. Our Vet has given us advice (guesses) and given the dog prescriptions, supplements, injections, and tests....with ZERO improvement! I've spent thousands of dollars trying to get our dog healthy and nothing ever helped! Based on a recommendation to take Gracie to The Spaw I dove in telling myself this is the last time. If this fails, we will just do the best to let her live her life out as comfortably as possible, which is a sad place to be as a dog mom. She's not even 7 years old and she still has a lot of life to live. Meeting Carrie was the best thing that has ever happened to our dog! She recommended some specific testing and said that Shih Tzus often have low Zinc which can lead to skin issues. We had her tested by a Vet and sure enough, her Zinc was SO LOW!!! She made some suggestions about supplements we could give her. At a follow up test, we could see some improvement in her Zinc levels. She also said that it looks like my dog had mange and that Shih Tzus are also susceptible to mites. Our Vet never once mentioned that as a potential cause nor did she test for mange. We did a skin scraping with a different Vet who found no mites, but she suggested we put her on a mite medication for a couple of months. The stuff that came out of/off my dog was disgusting (old die off???)! Through skin cytology, we also confirmed Gracie had serious yeast overgrowth. That was not a mystery to me, because our house smelled so bad! I didn't even like to have people over because it was so embarrassing. Carrie gave Gracie sulfur baths and used some other amazing technologies on her; Ozone baths, red light, blue light, and micro bubbles to name a few. It was a lot of work, but I can tell you for the first time in years, I'm actually optimistic about Gracie's future AND my house no longer smells disgusting. We boarded her for a period of time so we could do some deep cleaning and reset our house before she returned. I'm so glad I made that initial call to The Spaw. Carrie truly loves my dog and my dog loves Carrie! When we drive to The Spaw my dog knows. When we hit Tustin Ranch Road from the 5 Freeway, Gracie starts going crazy! When we get there, she practically jumps out of the car. Thankfully, her harness is clipped in, so she can't get out of her car seat without help. ;) On the subject of Boarding: I love that The Spaw has staff on the premises 24 hours a day and that the dogs aren't locked in crates all day. I am so grateful to see my dog's hair growing back and for her to have noticeably more energy and MUCH less scratching! Carrie clearly loves animals and is a true blessing. She admitted that my dog's issues forced her to do deep dive research to find help for Gracie. I will forever be grateful for the life she has given back to my dog! She is much more than "a groomer!"

Our dog Loki has had a very rare liver disease on top of growths and a bad tooth infection. Dr Seggerman has gone above and beyond with Loki. Honestly her care and compassion are something that is rarely seen anymore. She not only took the time to research and call specialists to figure out what was going on, she actually solved the puzzle and our dog is on the up and up with his blood levels stabilizing and his flare ups a thing of the past. With all of his symptoms (outward and inward) We really thought Loki wouldn't even make it another year -but he's back to his puppy self, even playing with stuffies- which he hasn't done in years. The location is super convenient and the place looks clean. I was a bit surprised that for just nail trim and gland expression that they had to take him to the back so I couldn't see him get his services done. The front room area, which also served as their daycare area (they had one quiet doodle just hanging out there by him/herself), had what looked like wash bins and grooming tables. Anyway, I think the services were performed well. His nails are nice and trimmed and hoping they did a good job on the gland expression since it's not something you can really tell right away. The groomer seemed sweet and said my pup did a good job. When closing out the tab, I was overcharged. I didn't notice it until I had left and thought to myself that the price seemed rather high so I double checked when I got home and sure enough it was a $10 overcharge. When I called and spoke to Victor, he said that nail trim for medium dogs was $18 and gland expression was $30. On their website and on their brochure at the front desk, gland expression is listed as $20 When I pointed this out, he said that was the old pricing but that he could give me a credit for next time. I requested a refund since at this point I knew I wasn't coming back. Instead of a refund of the overcharge, he' said he'd have to void the original charge and then charge the revised amount which is what I opted for.
