We came here for a welcome dinner for a wedding we were attending. This place definitely had Miami vibes. There is street parking available in the front. There is seating inside and a few tables outside on the sidewalk. Tuesday is Wine Tuesdays. 50% off the wine list. The staff was friendly attentive, but seemed to consistently reach over me as I was eating. The food was very good. We had a set menu. First was the Eggplant Parm. They grill it here instead of frying it which actually worked out for me. I sometimes get sick from fried eggplant. Next were the meatballs. They were surprisingly good for not being in a red sauce. This was the first time I've had Italian meatballs that weren't in a red sauce. Definitely made with the top quality meat and spices. Last course was Lasagne Bolognese. Lots of flavor and very delicious. Not much red sauce on it like a typical lasagne. The meat more than made up for the limited sauce.

Our Valentine's Day dinner turned into one of the most humiliating dining experiences I've ever had -- and what's most shocking is that the person who treated us this way was the owner. We ordered three dishes: * A tomahawk steak priced at $58 per pound * Scallops (only three scallops were served) * A pasta with prosciutto, which was actually very good The tomahawk steak was the issue. It was overwhelmingly fat and extremely tough. I took one bite and genuinely could not chew through it. For the price, the quality was unacceptable. My boyfriend calmly asked if the steak could be removed from the bill since it was inedible. We were prepared to order additional food instead. Rather than handling the situation professionally, the owner became defensive and argumentative at our table. She ultimately told us to leave. We quietly complied and began walking toward the door. As we were about to exit, she spread her arms across the doorway, implying we were trying to leave without paying -- after she had just instructed us to leave. She then instructed an employee to call the police and accused us of being thieves. Law enforcement arrived over a dispute about an inedible steak, which was deeply embarrassing and unnecessary. At one point, it felt as though I could have been detained over a situation that never should have escalated this far. This was not just poor service -- it was aggressive, unprofessional, and distressing. No customer should be publicly accused or have police called on them for raising a legitimate concern about food quality. I left feeling shaken and extremely disappointed. I would not return

Walked in without a reservation and they gave us a great table. Our server Valentina was amazing! The recommendations were on point and service was outstanding. Valentina is not only a server but she is also the owner!!! Her husband was in the kitchen and cooked us a great tomahawk steak. We had also had the MEDITERRANEA SALAD (P) 18 Organic spring mix, sweet grape tomatoes, pitted Italian olives and crunchy Prosciutto. BURRATA E POMODORINI (VEG) 21 Homemade "mozzarella" with a cheesy soft heart served with sweet grape tomatoes and balsamic vinaigrette. AFFETTATI EMILIANI E GNOCCO FRITTO (P) 36 Selection of fine meats and cheeses from Italy with dried figs, balsamic vinegar pearls and our signature homemade puffy bread. TAGLIATELLE ALLA BOLOGNESE (P) 24 Handmade fettuccine cooked in chicken stock with traditional Bolognese sauce. They had a fantastic wine selection. Would definitely be back :) thank you for a great dinner. I normally post more photos but I ran out of battery and only have photos of the tomahawk

Ask for Gianni! And their Miami Spice menu was more than worth it! I left in heaven and with plenty to take home for part two. Highly recommend you go.NOW!

Nice ambiance, but the food was a bit disappointing. Pasta is probably the way to go here. I asked if they had a gluten free pasta and didn't get an answer, so I ordered the octopus. It was charred, with a prominent burnt flavor. The potatoes were also fried to a crisp. And it didn't come with a sauce? I ended up using the oil and vinegar on the table because so it was so dry. Again, I'm confident other dishes here could be good! My friends seemed to enjoy it- the octopus just wasn't one of them. I had the panna cotta for desert, that was good! I'm happy I could end the meal on a better note.

For those with gluten sensitivity, they can switch out any of the pastas with the GF spaghetti and add the sauce. Only one option of pasta for GF is spaghetti (not sure if it is house-made). Ordered the Tagliatelle Panna Salsiccia e Funghi made gluten-free with GF spaghetti. Not as great as the real thing, but the mushroom and sausage cream sauce was still good. 6/10 Clam pasta: the pasta itself tasted good but very little clam flavor, in fact they were so tiny you couldn't taste it. 3/10 Tiramisu: no coffee flavor, rather disappointing, 2/10 Panna cotta with blueberries: not bad, 6/10 Cappuccino: a bit too much on the milky side, for my taste, I like to be able to taste the coffee. 4/10 Wines were good 8/10

Omg this authentic Italian restaurant is everything! The place is super cute and the decor has a simple and clean elegance to it. Our server Roberta was phenomenal and from Itlay. Authentic all the way here. Ingredients are from Italy and pasta made fresh and in house daily. They even have a market selling sausages and pasta and even have classes to teach how to prepare a fabulous meal. It was my aunts birthday and with Miami Spice we thought this was the perfect intimate gathering for our family. Everything on the menu sounded exciting amd taste worthy. Everyone besides myself and stepdad went with the miami spice menu It was all good cause my fork.would be tasting everyone else's dishes. We started off with a complimentary starter. I'm so sorry I don't remember what it was called but it had a delish cheese that was like mousse with a drizzle of balsamic, absolutely delicious. I can eat these like popcorn. Starters on the rest of the table were the Burrata e Pomodorini, the Parmigiana di Melanzane (this is an absolute MUST) and the Prosciutto di Parma con Gnocco Fritto. All of.these were delish and I can so do a repeat on all of them happily. The freshness and taste were just all here. Main dishes were 2 tagliatelle al ragu, tagliatelle al Prosciutto di Parma, and Tagliolini all' Astice (think lobster pasta). All were fresh, homemade and just fabulous. Everything we ate got great reviews from us all. To the end the night I had a blueberry panna cotta, I didn't share. I don't care either, lol. It's one of my favorite desserts. It was scrumptious. Around the table there was Gelato and Tenerina al Cioccolato (warm chocolate brownie with macaroons with strawberries). Everyone eas beyond satisfied. This place is authentically fabulous and a definite Must! Enjoy

My first Italian restaurant review in May is for Via Emilia 9. Tucked away off Alton Road, I found Via Emilia 9 while walking and doing errands in the area. Since I wasn't fully fashionable (i.e. dressed for jogging), I ate outside while also people watching. Its vibe blends perfectly from casual outside dining to a more formal inside dining room. Even outside there's a nice section with turf and larger tables in case you want to enjoy your larger party outside. I only drank water since I was working out, and refills were pretty timely. Since I was eating light and healthy, I started with their caprese. Its minimalist design - just creamy mozzarella and diced tomato slices - were refreshing and healthy. With the pasta just at al dente, a generous meaty bechamel and shredded mozzarella, my lasagna main course was hearty and delicious. A little bit of extra marinara or pizza sauce would have been perfection. This is a dish I'd order here again! My sweet closing of a mascarpone and nutella dessert, garnished with strawberry slices and ladyfinger cookies was a great close. Definitely a cool find!

Thank you, I'm here all week :) I was in the area late for a weekday and needed a bite to eat. Walking down Alton Road, I found this cozy spot open and decided to stop by. There's plenty of art in the walls and as mentioned, a large TV for your sports viewing needs. I was quickly served by complimentary bread, which I enjoyed with balsamic vinegar and crushed black pepper, as well as a caprese salad flavored with naturally tart tomato slices. Sometimes you just want the basics, and this place does them just right. In my case, I enjoyed a generous plate of fettuccine bolognese. The ragu was well flavored and proportioned; I didn't have to ask for extra sauce though I did put some more crushed pepper. My noodles also tasted yummy, fresh instead of "left on the side and reheated." Given the taste & texture, and the time it took to be brought out, you can infer they were made fresh. I did leave a little bit of space for a jiggly caramel pannacotta with a dash of sprinkled sugar as well as a cafecito.

Way more affordable than a night out at an Italian restaurant, but you still get the high quality food. Depending when you stop by, you might see some fresh pasta being made right in front of your eyes. Doesn't get fresher than that. We love some of the frozen platters like lasagna and eggplant rollatini that we just throw in the oven for an hour and voila, perfection. And be sure to stop by on the 29th each month for 29% of gnocchi. We always have trouble deciding which flavor gnocchi to take, but we always know it will be good. And don't think about throwing grocery store sauce on their perfectly made pastas. Grab one of their sauces for unforgettable flavor. On our latest trip, we tried the fettuccini and their four cheese sauce, which we added sautéed mushrooms and Mahi to at home. That sauce was absolutely mouth-watering and the pasta had delightful texture. The ladies in the shop are always friendly and helpful, so don't hesitate to ask if you have questions about how to prepare something or how many people it will serve. If you're not in the mood for pasta tonight, many of the products are frozen so if you're in the area don't miss your chance to stock up! Even after being discharged from the hospital the next morning, the following days of our vacation were ruined because I was still recovering. The financial cost is one thing, but having a vacation you've planned and paid for ruined by a single plate of pasta is incredibly disappointing. The pasta itself was cooked al dente, but I believe the problem was with the sauce. I didn't even enjoy the flavor while I was eating it.
