Had a very nice meal of pasta here. The pesto gnocchi was very cheesy and could have used more pesto for me. The Osso Buco Ravioli was completely OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING!!!!!

Via Piccola is a casual, festive Italian restaurant located within Tiburon's strip mall. next to the Nugget grocery store. Plenty of shared parking, which is always a plus! Our party of three sat near the window, with a good view of the bar and several flatscreens showing the Warriors game. We tend to frequent Italian cuisine a bit more now that our 3yo is beginning to enjoy pasta, especially penne! Definitely recommend starting off with the roasted veggies samplers - you get vibrant, naturally-sweet eggplant, zucchini, peppers, and shrooms. (5 stars) For entrees, the sole with scalloped potato was awesome. Crispy outside, and so soft and lemony. (5 stars) We got the Chicken Piccata with a side of penne. Chicken was moist and they got the sauce right. Penne cooked al dente. Portion a bit small for dinner entree (4 stars). For dessert, I'd recommend Key Lime Pie (5 stars) for that sweet, wonderful cookie crust and nice balance of sweet and tart from the smooth filling. Carrot cake (4 stars) was good too, but definitely on the sweet side and less smooth texture-wise.

Cute. Quaint. Yummy. Reasonable. These words describe Via Piccola when our part of 5 had dinner last weekend. My mother in law made reservations a week before and she came in here for lunch. We started with Caesar salads to share and complementary bread service. Everyone at this restaurant was very nice and we were very well taken cared of. I absolutely enjoyed my swordfish. The way it was prepared was perfect for my liking. Too bad, we didn't leave room for dessert. By the way, if you are looking to purchase art, they have a good selection displayed on the walls. Prices included

Great service. Wines were awesome! Ribeye was on point paired with Pessimist wine. Kuddos to Pedro who even recognize my voice as I called ahead to reserve, and my server Cipriani for taking care of me. Def will walk down the street to come here more often!

We came here for dinner. I like the look inside and the romantic music that was playing (even though it is not Italian haha). A staff member patiently explained the specials. We decided to get their spaghetti rustico, fettuccine with scallops, and veal (the dish name escapes me sorry, but you can find it!) and finished the meals with their tiramisu, panna cotta, and key lime pie. Fantastico! So good! Well-seasoned and not soggy! Even their espresso was smooth and lovely! I would like to come back again! I will try one of the Italian red wines next time...I have been meaning to try one haha!

Next to Us is a cozy gem with a warm atmosphere. The Italian dishes are flavorful and authentic, making for a delightful dining experience. Perfect for a casual night out!

The location is awsome, right on the water in Tiburon, and the vibe is cozy without feeling cramped. Seating is a little tight, but honestly it kinda adds to the charm. There's one huge unisex bathroom tucked right behind the bar, which was surprisingly clean and easy to find. The back patio is probly the highlight. On a clear day you get amazing views of Angel Island and SF, hard to beat while having lunch or a drink. Food was solid. Kitchen does a decent job, although they seem to miss order details every now and then. I ordered a medium rare burger and it came out well done. Before I even had a chance to make a big deal about it, our server noticed and brought a replacement burger out pretty quick. That was super thoughtful and showed they actually care about the customer experiance. Not perfect, but good food, great views, and staff that are willing to make things right. I ordered fish, and it was the smallest piece I've ever had. My husband had pasta with shrimp; unfortunately, they used the smallest and cheapest shrimp available. The Caesar salad was nothing special, no flavor, and we had to ask for extra dressing. The calamari appetizer didn't look appealing and lacked a fresh, vibrant color. Nothing was included with my $44 fish dish, so I had to order a side of roasted potatoes for extra $8, which were not fresh at all. When I asked our waiter, he said they make them daily, which likely means they were made anytime in the morning. Overall, it was not worth the $198 we spent on a tasteless dinner. Very disappointed that we chose Luna Blu for our special day, and we will definitely not be going back. Basically, you're paying for the view.

In Tiburon, where street parking doesn't exist, this alone deserves a star. The valet crew was friendly and even recommended dishes. We had a reservation but still waited about 20 minutes to be seated. It's Valentine's Day, so I get it, though it did cost us the sunset we'd timed our reservation around. We didn't get our requested window seat either, but to be fair, you can see the water from pretty much anywhere in the restaurant, and the views are genuinely beautiful. We grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited. Bartender was quick and personable even in the rush. The Mad Men Old Fashioned and Bay Side Bellini were both perfectly fine. Food was good, not great. The jumbo shrimp appetizer was the standout: fresh, big, well prepared. The crumble cheesecake was solid too. The Kurobuta Tomahawk pork chop was a bit dry and could have used a sauce to go along with it. My Chicken Milanese had nice texture but leaned a little heavy on the vinaigrette. Mashed potatoes on both plates were good. Prices are above average but not unreasonable for waterfront dining. Staff was friendly and professional (tuxedos and everything), and the food came out faster than I expected for how busy it was. The waiter seemed a touch stretched thin, but that's a Valentine's Day problem, not a service problem. Jazz music, big windows, candlelit waterfront vibes: the ambiance delivers. One note: the restroom could use some attention. It was not in great shape when we visited.

This is definitely on the more expensive side, but for a special lunch or a first-time visit, we felt it was worth it. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the location made for a memorable experience. The only service issue we experienced was at the beginning of our meal. It took approximately 15-20 minutes before we received water, and guest ( they knew pretty well ) arrived after us appeared to be served immediately by 3 different servants with water and wine. We felt a bit overlooked and unwelcomed during that time. However, I do want to give credit to our waiter, who recognized the delay and apologized, which we appreciated. One additional surprise was being charged $2 for hot water with lemon. As someone who does not drink iced water, I often order hot water with lemon and have never been charged for it before. On a lunch bill approaching $150, that charge felt unnecessary and a little unwelcoming. It certainly wasn't about the $2 itself, but rather the principle of it. That said, the food and overall experience were excellent. I would not take any stars away because this place is truly a gem with delicious food, gorgeous views, and a welcoming outdoor dining area for guests with dogs. Service was very good. The wait staff was very attentive and gave advice when asked. I had a glass of white wine, 2024 pieropan soave, which was crisp and paired very well with the items we ordered. My bf got a local pilsner, which was refreshing. We ordered crab cakes and a bowl of clam chowder for starters. Both were very delicious! The vinaigrette dressing on the salad paired nicely with the crab cakes. The chowder had the perfect consistency. For mains we had the red snapper and the Mediterranean branzino. While both were tasty, I think they could've done a better job flavoring the fish itself. With the toppings on my Mediterranean branzino it made the dish but without the sauce and slaw on top the fish itself was a little bland. Same with the snapper. The fish had a delicious crispy skin and sat on a bed of vegetables and clams in a sauce. The fish itself was a little bland but together it worked. I think I would've liked to experience stronger flavors. Having said that, I can appreciate the dishes for what they were. For dessert the waiter recommended the tres leches as his personal favorite which is what we got. It was delicious! And while it was sweet it was not overly sweet. Overall I enjoyed this place, I'd come back for more.
