An unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Natale made a huge difference, welcoming us and showing us to our table. I would say that the service was flawless/attentive without being intrusive. My friends and I were confused about what to drink to pair with our food, and Natale gave excellent wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our pasta and dessert. Authentic food, beautiful ambiance, and outstanding hospitality. I'll bring more friends and family to visit this place because it's so wonderful to be here. A very charming, cozy restaurant on Main street of Tiburon, friendly host and wait or who has great knowledge of the food and the wines. We enjoyed almost all of the meal except the chicken was not as impressive as the waitor advertised. It was a bit on the dry side that evening. We had most of it packed up to go but the staff also forgot to bring it out to us and we too forgot to asked for it, maybe I it was a good thing. We.all enjoy the well prepared, and flavorful, bright yet comforting dishes. The pasta was aldente the way it should be. Servino Ristorante is hands down our favorite Italian spot in Marin. It still feels a bit under the radar and a local secret. It doesn't have hundreds of reviews like some of the bigger-name places, but that just makes it feel even more like a local gem. The food is consistently incredible. You can really tell everything is fresh and seasonal. The menu changes often, and whatever's in season always ends up being the star. Listen to your waiters recommendation. Sam was incredible. Pastas are always on point, seafood tastes super fresh, and the specials never miss. It's the kind of place where you order something new and still walk away impressed every time. It also has that "living room of Tiburon" vibe and comfortable, welcoming, and the kind of place you keep coming back to whether it's a casual dinner or something a little more special. I can't believe this place is in Marin. I am born and raised in Manhattan, with family of self proclaimed foodies who are still there, and when they come to visit, this is the only place they want to eat and hang out. The food is local (as in chosen at the farmers market each week), the wine is selected by the Servino family when they visit small local winemakers near Mt Etna. Even the olive oil is insane. The vibe is immaculate, as the kids say. You walk in and feel immediately relaxed. The service is perfection from start to finish. This truly feels like an award winning restaurant with a welcoming and easy ambiance. We have been here at least 15 times and will continue to return because each time, it gets better. read more

A hidden gem in Tiburon! We recently discovered Servino while just strolling in town, and I am so glad we decided to walk in despite the hesitation. Being vegetarians, trusting the quality of food and taste was a little difficult but Sam our server did his absolute best to gain our confidence and boy, he was SO RIGHT! Their menu changes seasonally depending on what's freshly available, and they also modify whatever you wish to eat based on your dietary restrictions. We tried a couple appetizers, few drinks, all the veggie pastas and 5 desserts as a group of 5 and were highly impressed with not just the food, but also the hospitality - absolutely mind blowing. I've passed by Servino so many times and didn't even realize it. Definitely a hidden gem! I decided to check it out on a whim for dinner and accidentally arrived a few minutes before opening. They were super welcoming and seated me right away. Sam was my server and he was amazing! Attentive but not intrusive or rushed. Top notch service. For dinner I got the Insalata di Pomodori (tomato salad), tagliatelle al funghi, and then rounded it out with panna cotta for dessert. All of the dishes were just spot on. Portions weren't huge but also not tiny. I particularly enjoyed the mushroom pasta. House made pasta and fresh, local mushrooms. Just perfection. The vibe inside is Mediterranean mid century. I was blown away by my first visit to Trattoria Servino. Found this location on yelp but was a bit wary since they only had 17 reviews. There's always a lot of fluff reviews when a restaurant first opens. However I decided to give this place a try. Made a reservation on their website which was super easy and got a text confirmation and reminder text. Came a bit early but was still seated and they had our reserved table for us. We devided to order: Fritto Mistro (Calamari): Amazingly fresh--tender without being chewy. The light, crunchy batter was spot-on, and the marinara sauce tasted like it came straight from fresh tomatoes, not a can. Bright, balanced, and not too acidic. Perfect portion size. House-Baked Focaccia: Absolute perfection. Airy but with a golden crust that reminded me of Detroit-style pizza. The sprinkle of salt was just right, but what really set it apart was the olive oil--clean, pure, and honestly the best I've ever tasted. Tagliatelle al Fungi: Generous mushrooms, beautifully earthy, and paired with those same incredible olive oil notes. The noodles tasted freshly made and had just the right bite. Flavorful without being greasy. Piccola Fiorentina (Porterhouse Steak): Large but sliced thin with a perfect sear. It leaned a little closer to medium-well than medium, but still delicious and tender. The sweet roasted onion it came with was such a surprise hit--I don't usually like onions, but this one won me over. Overall: Fantastic service, authentic Italian cooking, and a spotless space in a convenient location. I'll admit, I was cautious about the glowing Yelp reviews since there aren't too many yet--but they are 100% deserved. I wouldn't be surprised if within a year this becomes the go-to Italian spot in Marin. Easily the best Italian I've had in the bay area. Can't wait to come back! Easy 5 stars. The food is delightfully flavorful and inventive, with a constantly rotating array of dishes that change with the seasons, as every ingredient is thoughtfully sourced from hyper-local farms and growers. The ambiance is beautiful, and the staff of Servino infuse as much heart and soul into their food as they do their hospitality, treating each customer with warmth and care. And the wines! We have learned SO MUCH just by chatting with Natale Servino, who curates the wine list and has introduced us to the most delectable wines from every region. Natale's passion is PURE wines, free from all the junk additives the big growers pump theirs full of. Natale is a connoisseur and it shows. It's a way-too-sweet dark chocolate fudge. Too dense, sweet, and sickening. It's not a traditional or even Italian style "flourless chocolate cake". Also the price for a few things are unusually high, but most things are worth it. (the fish dish was too high $44 for a simple low cost lingcod, for example. And almost $20 for each glass of wine? Came here for my birthday dinner on the recommendation of our Air BnB host and it was truly one of the most incredible dining experience of my life. There is no specials menu because everything is special- meals are crafted based on what is in season, leading to the most beautiful seasonal blends of flavor the Sonoma area has to offer. Our fantastic server Sam said it best "everything is sourced from a farm the restaurant has a personal relationship with- from the parsley to the pork". If you love authentic Italian flavors, if you love sustainable and local meat and produce, and/or if you love a cozy ambience with great service and exceptional wine, this is an absolute must. Went to Tiburon and walked past by this little cute restaurant last month. Finally got a reservation today to try it and it did not disappoint. Couple of highlights: stuffed zucchini blossom was battered and fried to perfection. Light, crispy, fragrant, with melt-in-your-mouth smoked cheese filling, yum! We loved it so much we ordered another one. I wish our saffron arancini would be more crispy but otherwise flavor was spot on. Crab ravioli was full of umami and cooked to perfect al dente with reach and creamy sauce highlighted by salty pancetta. Solid 4.8 for me and would def return to try more of their dishes. read more

Servino is back on Ark Row and better than ever. On the recommendation of several friends, we decided to try Servino for dinner this past weekend. We were a bit nervous when we arrived that the Trattoria side was almost empty, but it filled up during our meal. For appetizers we had the halibut crudo and frito misto. The kitchen was exceptionally generous with the slices of halibut which went very well with the nectarines and tangy dressing. The frito misto was perfect. It was lightly battered and cooked perfectly - the squash was crisp-tender. We had the tortelloni as a pasta course with the addition of some Calabrian chili which gave it a bit of kick. (You have to ask for the chilis, but it is worth it.) My steak was cooked perfectly and the roasted lemons gave an additional brightness. The star of the evening was my partner's pork chop. It was huge! It was easily 16 ounces. However the best part was that it was served hot - really hot. Nothing ruins a breaded item more than sitting under the heat lamps - the breading turns to an unappetizing mush. This one was still crisp on both sides. The banquette seating is their most popular, so plan accordingly. Larger diners may not be comfortable in all of their chairs. (They may not fit in the arm chairs.) We are looking forward to going back. read more

Sophisticated menu and wine list, far better than average for this price range (you can spend $200/cpl including wine). Outstanding seasonal items, I had fresh sardines and local halibut was on the crudo menu. Fresh pasta was delicious. It's a trattoria, so no tablecloths, but excellent service from kind, knowledgeable and friendly people. We did not have a reservation (bailed out of another restaurant), but were accommodated after a 20 minute wait. If I lived here, I'd be back once a week, the menu is that varied and interesting. read more

The best calamari we have ever had in our lives. It was lightly dusted and fried but not greasy or oily. It was the perfect tenderness and texture. It reminded me of fritto misto in Vernazza, Italy. We also ordered the focaccia, which was served with arbequina olive oil. The focaccia was light and fluffy and just right for dipping in our entrees. I had the spinach gnocchi with Kalamata olives, capers and shaved parm. My boyfriend had the eight hour beef ragù. Both dishes were outstanding. We had stellar service in the main dining room. Our server heard us casually mention it was our anniversary when we first sat down. When we ordered gelato, he brought it out with a candle and wished us a happy anniversary. We highly recommend this restaurant and, despite living two hours away, we will be back as often as we can. It was a special experience and we really appreciate their attentiveness. read more

Hadn't been to Servino's in over 6 months. Food and service were excellent and seemed substantially upgraded from what I recall with lots of seasonal ingredients. Almost all of the pasta is made in house. The crostini was a tasty start. The Ministra soup flavors, fresh squash and corn, stood out. The beef ragu was sublime: beef and sauce were flavorful and pasta was perfectly cooked. The Tagliatelle al Funghi was nicely cooked with just a little crunch. The Torchio Salsiccia was pleasingly spiced with the pasta a perfect al dente. The desserts we tried were the same quality as the rest of the meal. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. To top it off, the prices were a good value for such quality. If you are anywhere in Marin and looking for top tier Italian cooking, try Servino. read more

Our party arrived early and was given a tour by Natale Servino - one of the celebrated owners. Located on Ark Row in Tiburon, the restaurant is amazing. Natale, just back from visiting family in Palermo, shared some ideas for upcoming dishes based on the regional cuisine of his family's hometown and surrounding area. His knowledge of Sicily and the region's history is amazing and he uses that information to provide an original and unique menu. It makes sense, if the dish is going to be prepared correctly, you need the right ingredients - requiring the restaurant to import them from the source. This includes spices and wine. Result: the food was fantastic; the staff were efficient, friendly and professional; and we experienced no flaws in our visit. Everything, the cuisine, service, and ambiance were prefect. We ate dinner at Servino on December 5. The evening ended disastrously! I ordered the Pappardelle Filetto, which the server mentioned was one of the customer favorites. I had planned to run the Peacock Gap Trail half marathon the next morning and thought a pasta dinner would be a good pre-race meal. Instead, I got one of the worst cases of food poisoning I have ever had! Needless to say, I couldn't run the race and almost a year's worth of training turned out to be for nothing. The restaurant should remove this dish from the menu immediately! Even if that happens, I won't be back. Unless you're a risk taker, I would suggest looking elsewhere for your next Italian dinner. read more
