Wanted to find a great pizza place in North Conway but unfortunately I have to keep looking. The menu for the create your own pizza specifically says you can choose your sauce. I ordered a pizza with two toppings and asked for the white sauce. The worker proceeded to tell me my total which was much higher than expected. I asked why and (paraphrasing) she said she rang the white sauce up as extra toppings because that's how they are supposed to do it. Absolutely ridiculous as I wasn't getting extra sauce, just the one. When the pizza was finished, I tried it and wasn't impressed. The eggplant topping tasted like it was frozen prior to becoming a topping and it struggled to stay on the pizza itself which was annoying. The crust was super bland and if I wanted a pie that tasted like this, I could have just made one at home. I give a couple stars because the food was edible and the place was very clean and inviting. What an absolutely terrible experience. Do not come here. First, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff were not wearing masks correctly (i.e. on their chin) or in one instance, not at all. Dinner for One. Via Roma is the local pizzeria and sub shop with some Italian fare added as well. The menu is full of the items you would expect from this type of shop. I was in a more of a meal type of mood so I opted for the Eggplant Parmigiana. Served with pasta and garlic bread the Eggplant Parmigiana was a delicious ending to my day's activities. The eggplant was breaded and fried to perfection, the spaghetti was of the thicker variety and the marinara sauce was very tasty with the perfect amount of garlic. I have driven by this place so many times but never tried it mainly because there are just so many places to eat in North Conway it takes time to try every single restaurant. Heading into town for the week my boyfriend and I decided to give them a try and grab some take out. We got a large fry, chicken parm sub and a honey mustard chicken wrap..all decently priced. He really liked the sub, I thought the wrap was ok. The food was pretty good, not the best or the worst you'll ever have just average. I kinda expected the wrap to have your traditional honey mustard dressing but it was a Dijon which isn't my favorite but oh well. They do give you alot of food for the $$ so its all good. read more

Ordered from here tonight. Not too shabby! We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad and buffalo wings. Having spent a lot of time searching for amazing pizza they delivered some pretty delicious pizza. I am picky so this doesn't come lightly. The salad was a salad lol it was good. The wings, for me, were the highlight. VERY meaty, done to perfection. Wouldn't have minded more of the sauce, but every bite was enjoyable. We had a coupon and wanted to try it out for the first time. The people are nice, service is excellent. They have a nice sitting area where you can wait if you have a take-out order. They offer Italian and Middle Eastern food. Also Appetizers, Salads and Burgers. Parking is easy and the food is very good. They bake their own bread. We stopped here after hiking all day. Due to COVID, I will not eat inside a restaurant. All of the restaurants with outdoor options were packed, then I saw this little place. They had a few tables outside in a makeshift patio area, and we were glad we stopped. The eager staff were very nice and our food was ready in about 15 minutes, even though their phone was ringing off the hook. Pizza is thin crust but good sauce. Garbage! Please don't make yourself sick! We were passing through North Conway, had the dog, so stopped for takeout, so as not to leave the dog in the car too long. We were served garbage. I got the falafel wrap. The wrap was stale and just crumpled into pieces, which was hidden by the paper it was wrapped in. But to even look at the falafel was enough to turn my stomach! It smelled like dirty grease and looked much worse. I think, in a cost cutting effort, they literally used garbage to make the falafel. Do not order it for your own safety! My husband's Italian sub was made with some slimy cold cuts and the bread was drizzled with banana pepper juice. His stomach has not forgiven him yet. The bread was toasted, without asking him, in an attempt to hide the staleness. The sub was loaded with a mound of brown-edged lettuce, just to give it the appearance of substance. So delicious! My kids feel asleep early after skiing so my husband and I wanted to order delivery to our hotel. We are both very picky about food and I guess would call ourselves "foodies". I got the falafel pita, absolutely amazing. My husband ordered one of the calzones also delicious. I didn't have pizza, which might be great, but I did have the falafel , which was undoubtedly the worst I've ever had, not that is tasted bad, it had no flavor at all. We also got some Greek salads, eh. They were cheap enough, but I really would have preferred to pay an extra dollar and get more than a smattering of feta. Quite possibly the best eggplant Parmesan sub in the last decade. The bread was toasty and crisp, filled with cheese and eggplant cooked to flavorful perfection. Ordered a garden salad, which was huge; and the lettuce and ingredients were fresh and incredibly crisp -- a sign that management here actually cares about quality food. Ordered take out to bring back to the hotel while on vacation. We had pizza and the falafel plate. The order was ready sooner than expected and there is "take out" parking available as a convenience. The counter staff was friendly and helpful, offering plates and forks and knives to bring back. My only minor concerns were a bit of difficulty with the online ordering system. It froze up a couple of times on my phone, and the falafel was solid, but not equal to my absolute favorite recipe. The pizza was tasty, thin crust, with a good amount of toppings. The falafel plate was delicious and a pleasant change to the typical "kid friendly" vacation meal. It included, falafel, hummus, tzatziki, stuffed grape leaves, pita and vegetables. If like our family, sometimes you'd rather avoid the long lines at a vacation area restaurants and grab a bite for take out, this is a great spot to try. read more

Absolutely fantastic place to go for large groups. I attended on the 14th of August (2013) with a camp group of 26 and the staff there had all the pizzas ready at the tables when we arrived. We got 9 pies in all and each one was devoured as if the kids and young staff were vultures. All of them were great from the Quattro Formaggio, Buffalo Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Chicken and Pesto (with ricotta) to the Pepperoni. Just top notch service, food and proximity to nearby attractions. Usually I'm very patient with someone learning English but come on...it's slamming and you put that guy out front to take orders??? Then he can't understand two basic things I want to order and acts confused even when I show pictures and descriptions from their own website menu. I felt like I was being pranked. I hadn't visited Via Roma until just recently and instantly became hooked. Located in what I would call "the middle of the strip," Via Roma is one of those hidden-in-plain-sight wonderful restaurants. They have a wide variety of inexpensive choices and you get a lot for your money! My husband and I both love their Honey-Mustard Chicken Wraps, Lamb Gyro, and Cranberry-Walnut Chicken Wrap/Salad. They also have my favorite (Hawaiian) pizza for only $10 which is generally not an affordable pie! The owners are incredibly kind and friendly. Even during a rush (today they had a large catering call placed as we entered), they took the time to ensure we were taken care of and got our food to us in a timely fashion. read more

Great little neighborhood takeout place with a nice enough sitting area to enjoy eating in once and a while. I usually get the Mediterranean wrap and it's always delicious. At this point it doesn't matter how the food was. Wanted to try the pizza for the first time, called multiple times and got no answer so I used their web site online ordering feature. Payed with credit card, including the tip, email to follow with order and delivery details. 20 minutes later I received an email informing me my pizza would not be delivered for an hour. So from the time I placed my order from the time it was scheduled to be delivered is about an hour and a half. MUST talk about Via Roma's great pizza. Since I'm officially a Yelpin' kind of gal now, I might as well finish off my North Conway trip! I'm going to have to go on a fast after this trip :) Okay, it's not like this is my first trip to North Conway, but before I used to go to Elvios (for those of you who haven't been up to the Conways lately, Elvios is now just north of North Conway village, just north of the light at Eastern Slope Inn). But since I was staying further south this trip, I wanted something a little closer to my motel. Decisions decisions! I went to Via Roma and couldn't decide on pizza (which I really wanted) or to try one of the Middle Eastern dishes. The very friendly young woman behind the counter (maybe the owner's wife?) suggested the Chicken Shawarma (? Shwarma?) it's a chicken in a pita w/ some veggies and a sauce that has a yogurt base (I think? not sure) - whatever it was, it was really good, and I'm glad I got it. But I also got a pizza. Seriously. Just a small one, mind you, because the little refrigerator at the motel isn't really meant to stock up on a week's worth of food. Nice, dry bottom (the pizza, that is) - not greasy or oily like you might see in places that use chintzy ingredients or whatever it is that makes the bottoms of the pizza greasy. I like this pizza a lot, and I hope that these folks stick around for a long time! Prices seem to be about average - maybe a touch higher than I'm used to when I'm travelling, but certainly not going to break the bank. It could be that their ingredients are a little higher quality, which wouldn't surprise me since I thought the pizza was very good. The interior of the restaurant is pretty standard pizzeria style. Comfortable enough for sure. The only thing I didn't care for is that the TV in the dining room was a bit loud, and there was some news type of show. I'm totally not into watching TV in a restaurant, especially news. But, it won't keep me from coming back. Good food! Nice people!
