We came here with dear friends who have frequent diners. VV is located in a strip mall -a convenient location and ample parking. It's nicely done inside and offers a nice ambiance. We had a very friendly waitress so I don't understand the other Yelper's complaints about service (we went on a Thursday). Appetizers: Arancini Burrata Prince Edward Island Mussels Entrees Bistecca Sicliana Eggplant Parmigiana Salmon Oregenata Veal Valdostana Dessert Bread pudding Cannoli The food was very good at Via Veneto. Our only miss was the eggplant parm which my husband said was just ok. It's a nice BYOB and a worthwhile spot to dine at in Manasquan.

We like to dine early for personal reasons and because we believe that patrons receive better service from kitchen and wait staff when a restaurant is not crowded. So, we made a reservation for 515 pm Friday at VV (it opens at 5 pm). When we arrived, literally no one (patrons or staff) was present. We shouted "Hello!" and walked back to the kitchen where the host (owner?) came out and directed us to a table. Another couple came in shortly after us. Justin came over, opened wine, announced the specials, but told us that Christina would be our waitress. The couple at a nearby table got Gianna as their server, who was very attentive to them. Besides Gianna, another young woman occasionally appeared in the restaurant, glancing over at our table a couple of times, but never approaching us. After 20 minutes (almost ready to walk out) we got Gianna's attention when she was clearing the appetizer from the table of the couple who came in after us. We explained that we were waiting to order and she took our orders and was attentive to us throughout our meals (thus, she got a decent tip because the confusion was not her fault). The restaurant seems poorly managed. The host/owner was pushing tables around with busboys at 545 pm disrupting the place (one should do these things before opening). Also, after the appetizer, the ignorant busboy put our dirty forks and knives back on the table (we corrected him). A big screen TV in one corner and pop songs from the 1960s create a lousy ambiance. Food was pretty good, but not extraordinary. We started with an appetizer of burrata cheese with grilled veggies, $17. Tasty, but such a tiny amount of burrata for that price. Then we both had the $35. seafood entrees: Broiled seafood combo - clams, lobster, shrimp, calamari, and fish of day (Branzino) and Zuppe di pesce - all of the same seafood plus mussels and anchovies (ground up, not even detectable) over at least a pound of linguini (cheap and makes dish look huge). There were adequate amounts of seafood in both entrees. In closing, VV is OK, but there are lots of better Italian restaurants. Probably, will not return.

Really good dinner here last night. The flavors of the sauce with the chicken were outstanding, the chicken was also cooked perfectly and very juicy. Defiantly will be back.

When you walk in, you are standing in front of a pizza counter but there is a nice dining room attached for lunch/dinner. I have yet to try the pizza since I usually just come for dinner. At the table, they start with hot bread and olive oil to dip. The bread is super delicious and dangerously addictive. For appetizers, I have tried the Stuffed Zucchini Flowers and Calamari. Both are great options. For an entree, I usually order the Chicken Parm or Seafood Pescatore Linguine. Most recently, I tried the Spicy Garlicky Salmon, which came highly recommended by other Yelpers. It was the perfect amount of garlic flavor and came with a side of creamy mashed potatoes. Everything I have tried at Lubrano's has been amazing and the portions are huge. I usually bring home leftovers and can make another meal out of it! It's BYOB which is a great plus. You have to make a reservation even during the week. This place fills up very fast. Lubrano's is a must visit at the Jersey Shore!

Four excellently prepared little towers of fig and cheese over the bread. Now I am not a fig fan, but this was great and a nice start to the meal. For the entree I had baked lasagna which is an Italian classic and one of my favorites. This had plenty of meat with ricotta and fresh mozzarella. This was a nice light meal and enough that I only ate half of last night. My wife had the Cannelloni / Manicotti which was another baked dish with very similar ingredients. This had a bit less pasta but a combination that was really great. This was served in a plate almost the size of a small boat and there was no way she was finishing it. We went in on a Friday night and being the July 4th weekend we immediately were at a table. They quickly served bread with an EVO oil and spices that were really good. Kirstin was our server and she had the answers to all our questions and steered us to the perfect dinner. There was also a guy cleaning plates and he was quite personable talking about the meals. With a slower then usual Friday we at in an area with probably only 8 other tables. There was at least one more are with other tables that allowed for a quite ambiance to eat in with lower noise. One of my pet peeves is eating in a place where you fight to hear the people at the table in conversation. This was not the case This restaurant is now in our Wall area for better food, at an extremely reasonable price and you should stop and give them a shot

Is this the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to?…read more Actually, yes, it is. And I have been to a lot of Italian restaurants. The wait for a table was 45 minutes, but it was worth every minute. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We ended up being seated in a back patio room and though it was very hot outside (one of those 100 degree days last summer), it was actually very nice in there. The show started with someone asking for our drink order, then coming back with said drinks. After that she brought out some starts on the house, courtesy of chef and owner Joe. We were off to a great start! Soon after she returned to get our dinner order. After that, Chef Joe himself showed up to our table to thank us for visiting his restaurant and ask how we liked things so far. We let him know those starters were perfect...eggplant balls and a corn/tomato salad. Eventually our dinner came. Both dishes were waaaaaaaay more food than either of us expected. I had ordered chicken with mozzarella squares on top and drizzled in balsamic, which was a special created by Chef Joe's wife, according to the menu. My partner got eggplant parm...and wow, what a pile of food it was. Two huge eggplant pieces piled high with delicious sauce and served with some delectable pasta. Chef Joe came back to the dining room awhile later to ask people how their entrees were, and we let him know this was a great experience. I want to go back to Point Pleasant just to get here again. This time I will make a reservation.

Upon arrival, there was only one parking space left in the very small lot. Good thing we arrived shortly after they opened as the small bar was full within minutes after we arrived. We were easily the youngest patrons at the bar by at least a decade. Regardless, the octogenarians were all having a good time. It is a very lively room. The friendly bartender promptly greeted us and made perfect cocktails in short order. However, the Prosecco could have been colder. While waiting for our friends to join us, we perused the lengthy menu and wine list as well as noticed the awesome seafood being served at the bar. The bar remained packed as diners started filling the dining room. Immediately we noticed the noise volume increase. it is a small place with low ceilings and the lively bar scene and jovial dining customers make it very loud. When our friends arrived we were promptly seated near a corner by the fireplace where the noise was somewhat subdued. although noisy, we were all able to hear each other throughout the evening in spite of the ever increasing volume. Had we been seated in the middle of the dining room, I don't think we would have been able to hear each other. Our server Alex told us of the menu additions and promptly took our drinks orders. Pace was perfect and his service was very attentive. Relaxed and friendly. We enjoyed our conversations over drinks and eventually we placed our food orders and ordered another bottle of wine to be served with dinner. The first bottle was warm even after being in an ice bucket. Alex iced the second one down so it arrived proper temperature with our entrees. After taking our dinner orders fresh bread and olive oil (EVOO) were brought to the table. the appetizers came a few minutes later. Calamari was perfectly fried. Not over cooked. Nice marinara and good assortment of rings and tentacles (my fav). Ahi tuna perfectly seared and rare. Mushrooms tasty but a little too much zip for me. The girls had generous portions of perfectly cooked scallops and the men had decent portions of broiled swordfish. A little too salty for me. We spilt the outstanding pistacchio tartuffo and a very mediocre "home made" tiramisu. Espresso was perfecto. We paid with cash and Alex subsequently noticed the credit card fee was erroneously added to the bill. Which he prompted returned. We had a very enjoyable evening. Perfect pace. Decent food. Excellent service. The noise level in the dining room would probably keep us from returning. Maybe just sit and eat at the bar with the old farts next time. ;) Ciao.
