Tucked in the 17th Street strip mall, is Vibe! Met up with my dear friend to catch up, and EAT! We both enjoy vegan deliciousness, and this was one of her options to meet. Everything sounded delicious, so ...we ordered: Loaded Nachos, side of Rice & Beans, and Tacos- all 3 versions with Jicama "shell". We got a quesadilla too by accident. Everything was absolutely amazing! Favorite was the Loaded Nachos, followed by the Butternut squash taco. Yes, we had leftovers.. 2 tacos, the side of beans & rice, half the quesadilla. I found my new fave restaurant - too bad I live in Redondo Beach. This is the perfect place for someone looking for healthy, delish food, juices and smoothies. The smoothies here are absolutely incredible. I am going to say they are probably the best in OC (I make the schlepp to Erewhon, so I feel like I can go up to bat on this one lol). Highly recommend the chocolate monkey and the cold-brew buzz. The service is also great at this location. NOT VEGAN!!!! I am a vegan for the past 15 years and gluten free for the last 3 - I found Vibe years ago and was so excited that they were vegan (or so I thought) but also offered organic, gluten free foods. Their food is expensive but it was worth it to me to support a completely vegan restaurant. I literally ordered 3 x a week for lunch spending many thousands of dollars on their food for the past years. But today, I saw wild venison on their menu.. and eggs, and cheese- I stopped looking. I called to clarify to be sure I was not misunderstanding- some vegan restaurant will say 'chicken' or other animal protein but mean a vegan version of it. . Who would even want to eat a Venison taco anyway??? Well, they confirmed that they are serving wild venison. The animal that was killed for a taco. Very deceptive to the vegan community and so covert. This was not on the menu last time I looked. Most ethical vegans are committed to not harming animals so adding meat of any kind to the menu is a deal breaker for many of us and sneaking it on to he menu feels pretty cringe. They advertised themselves as a plant based, compassionate business but now sell deer meat and other animal products. So Vibe is not vegan...not a vegan vibe.... not only on their menu, but in there philosophy.. they sold out. I will not support your restaurant any more- you lost a customer. read more

Service: Good. Needs improvement. I'm almost 60 and spent a lifetime in customer service as a civil servant. Ambiance: A+ for "Vibe" Bright, cheery, open. Food: nice simple selection of tasty salads and entrées. However today I spent $36 including tip. I don't expect charred edges on my avocado toast nor burnt pieces of butternut squash in my salad. That was disappointing. Clearly, they must know burnt food can lead to the formation of compounds linked to cancer. Shit happens. Just keep it out of my salad. read more

I did a little research and Vibe's ingredients used to make their food is extremely healthy and they don't use seed oil in their cooking, which most restaurants do. This is definitely one of those feel good places you can always trust to feel great after eating. My friend and I ordered a bowl from this place, excited to try something new. However, our experience took a shocking turn when we found a live worm in our food. We took a video as proof, horrified by the sight. I called the store right away to alert them, expecting at least some urgency about such a serious issue. To my surprise, they sounded completely nonchalant and just muttered a quick "sorry." I even suggested they discard their food to prevent other customers from potentially experiencing the same health hazard, but they brushed it off as if this was normal. This incident shows a clear lack of quality control and disregard for customer health and safety. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless they improve their standards and actually take responsibility for issues like this. The bowl had a base of greens and quinoa, and had black lentils, cabbage, tomato, hummus, pickled red onion, avocado, cucumber, and a chickpea frittata. It was definitely enough food for us to split! I first discovered Vibe from a catered event and I loved the food so much that I had go check them out and try other items on their menu. The tacos are so amazing! My favorite are their roasted butternut squash and the spicy jackfruit carnitas tacos because they're so flavorful in every great way! I'm not a vegan or vegetarian, however I really enjoy the food there and really appreciate the talent and skill of creating these delicious and nutritious plant based food. Vibe Organic Kitchen is THE best and they are so accommodating! My wife can only eat 100% plant-based foods (no oil, dairy, sugar) so she won't have an arthritic flare-up. With that said, we hadn't been in a restaurant for well over a year since her arthritis diagnosis until I found this restaurant on Yelp. They are more than willing to accommodate my wife's dietary needs and their dishes are packed with nutrition, flavor, and healthy, organic ingredients. We've eaten there three times now.
