I explained that the highlights were always toned down to give it dimension but she insisted it would be all one color. She fried my highlights by putting me under a hairdryer in foils and whatever toner she supposedly used left me with ugly brassy damaged highlights. I used XMONDO color at home (along with a strong healing conditioner) until I could make it back to Sacramento.

My hair went from an untamed lion's mane to a cute curly cut that makes me smile when I look in the mirror...I haven't felt that way in ages. She also didn't put pressure on me to buy products, which I greatly appreciate. I have a new hair stylist!!!

That being said, she was complaining that she didn't know my hair was long prior to the appointment and ended up charging me $155 for a simple layered haircut, no color. I even came to the appointment with my hair washed and still wet, and she insisted on washing it before cutting it. I was happy with my cut and asked the total, and she wouldn't say it while other clients were present. She handed me a calculator with the total on it (155) and wouldn't look me in the eye as I paid her. Again, it was a good haircut but very sad to leave the salon feeling like I was taken advantage of. I wanted this to be a place I could return but sadly I won't. I hope others can have a better experience.

With a destination wedding, I relied heavily on reviews, and I was thrilled to find Vibe Salon conveniently located near Pebble Beach and Carmel. I love the VIBE!! This salon has a great atmosphere, fun and welcoming ladies make that make me feel like i just want to stay and hangout lol! Oh and yes my hair always comes out amazing. I can share my pinterest picture and the results come out just like what I wanted (note I am also steered away from making any bad decisions that would damage my hair as well *thank you*)! I have been going to Dominee for many years but Jamie and Angie always have gorgeous results on their clients, I would never hesitate to see any one of them for my needs! I like how I can get in and out, I am not stuck there for an excessive amount of time, im not being triple booked with other clients at the same time, and the pricing is on point to what it should be. She was extremely unprofessional in the way she booked and was doing my hair with overbooking so many clients at the same time. The client that came in after me was finished before me. After, I looked in the mirror it was nothing like the pictures. I explained it to her that it was not what I had asked for and she said to give it time and if I was not happy then to call in 2 weeks. I followed up on text and received no help whatsoever instead a really unprofessional response and no solution. I provided the screenshots. She basically made it seem like it was my fault and that I was being difficult when I was not. The bare minimum should be taking accountability for the actions done and trying to help an 18 year old. Beyond ridiculous and frustrating.

I had made an appointment because I was used to making appointments months in advance at my last salon (I moved recently). It does not seem like appointments are necessary. The experience itself was lack luster - I got a wash, cut, and blow dry - which I find pretty standard. I found it odd that she didn't sit me down and take a look at my hair dry or ask me what I really wanted before taking me back, but every stylist is different. The wash was kind of rough, definitely not what I'm used to - which again, may just be a personal preference. The cut was simple - long layers. I told her where I parted my hair because she didn't ask but she told me she'd cut it center because it would look better that way and the part wouldn't matter (gentle foreshadowing - that made the cut look worse). When all was said and done I asked her to blend and soften the layers a little and she did, which I appreciated, but there just wasn't any saving the front - which is what I have to see every time I look in the mirror. The layers in the front on the side I part my hair to are short and harsh and just do not fall nicely. When it came to pay - cash only. Which, thank god I brought cash (maybe I missed something). The cut was $45 but the wash and blow dry was another 30. at that price point I would have been better off going to a Boujie salon for a much better experience and a little more money. Unfortunately I just don't think this is the salon for me. I'm so glad other people have such a great experience, but If you're looking for more relaxing salon vibes with the type of stylist to take the time to talk about what you like, I would not recommend coming here. In short id say this is Super Cut Quality with Fancy Salon Prices - just not worth it unfortunately.
