This place was busy on Sunday! I can see why. You order at the counter and then get a seat. I had the omelette and sausage patties but I tried the biscuit from my friend's order. The toppings bar for the biscuits is a cool concept. The omelette was nice in size and had great flavor. Sausage patties were a little small for the price but had good flavor. VB has been on my list since it opened and I finally made it. Met my party of 3 around 1115ish on a Sunday. There was a small line outside of the building. We were greeted and offered menus while we waited. Soon we were ushered in to another line that curved around. A line is good sign that the food is good and worth the wait to me. This line moved fairly quickly and we arrived at the counter to order in no time. We placed our orders, got our drinks, waited for the food to roll in. For my entree, I tried The Vicious Biscuit. We have been wanting to try Vicious Biscuit for so long after seeing all the TikToks hyping it up, and today we finally stopped in after driving past it every Sunday on the way to church. Let me just say... it did NOT disappoint. When we walked up, the line was literally out the door, which honestly made us even more excited to try it. The staff had the process down though! We were handed menus while waiting in line so we already knew what we wanted by the time we got to the front. Before ordering, we were given a table number to share with the cashier, and the server told us before we got out of line exactly where our table was with the matching table number sign. Super organized and smooth, especially with how busy they were. I ordered the Nashville Hot and whew... chef's kiss! I ordered the Vicious (cheddar jalapeño biscuit, crispy fried chicken, maple sausage gravy, cowboy candy, and maple syrup), but I got it without "cowboy candy" because it was just jalapenos. It was perfect. I also ordered Vicious Beignets (cinnamon cream cheese-filled pastries, strawberry jam, topped with whipped cream, fresh cut strawberries, and powdered sugar) and they might have been the best beignets I've ever had. It's better to get these to go because they put the whipped cream and strawberry jam in a separate cup, which is easier for dipping. If you order the beignets there, they spread everything out on a plate for presentation, which looks cute for Instagram photos, but it's harder for dipping. It took a while for them to make the beignets - almost 15 minutes. The service was dynamite. Everyone was really nice. They kept a busy restaurant spotless. read more

We grabbed menus and waited in the first of the two lines while looking things over. As we were nearing the end of the first line, my husband suggested we place an online order instead and come back to pick it up when it was ready. We placed the order online (including a tip) and left briefly to run an errand. When we returned, my kids and I found a table while my husband waited near the barstools off to the side, where several other people were also waiting. Time passed, and no one assisted us. It eventually became clear that our food had been sitting there unattended--it all felt very disorganized. When we finally sat down to eat, I pulled our food out of the to-go bag. Shortly after, the manager came over to our table. I expected the usual "How is everything?" or "Can I get you anything?" Instead, he said, "If we were in North Carolina and you were a customer, I would ask you to leave." Shocked, I replied that I could pack up our food and leave. He responded, "Oh no, I just need to inform you of the process," and pointed to a small sign on the table--which did not explain or indicate that we had done anything wrong. The food was mediocre at best, and the service was outright hostile. Between the confusion, the attitude, and the lack of basic customer service, this will absolutely be our first and last visit.
