Get ready for deliciousness!! There are so many good choices it's hard to decide. The butter and jam bar had a ton of different options and we're all amazing. Amazing breakfast with the family! When you approach, don't be scared of the long line that's literally out the door...It moves pretty quick and you're just in line to order! We sat at a high top in the corner which the kids enjoyed. I came back to Charleston with some friends to revisit all of my favorite foods, and so I was a little put-out when someone suggested this place, an unknown to me, and like, come on, what place in the south DOESN'T have decent biscuits? Well joke's on me, it was my favorite meal of the trip! I had the Mater and my guy had the Vicious, both very different from each other but so delicious. The gravy on the Vicious has a sweetness to it! Genius! The biscuit selection was interesting, focused, and the components made sense together. My buttermilk biscuit was sooooo soft and buttery, but didn't fall apart. The cheddar jalapeno biscuit looked firm on the outside, but the crunch again yield to a soft and savory palette for the fried chicken. I tried some of my sister's vicious bacon and my friend's oatmeal, both super tasty. The different types of butter and jam you could add to your biscuit, omg, that was the real star! Maple bourbon butter! So yummy! Just so you know I'm not being effusive, I do have a few criticisms: the Mater had a scoop of pimento cheese and a scoop of bacon jam, side by side. This is probably efficient for assembling purposes, but you won't want to eat it like this, it's better with both spread over the tomato and biscuit. Also, cutlery, napkins, straws, and water cups are all grouped immediately in front of the register, so if you don't think to grab this immediately after ordering you will cause a traffic jam when you circle back to get what you need. I do have seating insecurity, but I tend to believe that the counter service/seat yourself model is efficient. Could maybe add a self-bussing station since the place is quite busy, but employees didn't always have margin to clear dirty tables for people waiting. On that note, all employees seemed pleasant, cheerful, and unharried, it was nice! Definitely coming back on my next trip to Mount Pleasant. read more

This place is awesome & reliable. They take call-in take out orders (no one around here seems to do that)! Thr biscuits are as big as your head. The sweet potato waffles with bacon are perfect for kids & delicious. The sweet potato biscuits are delicious. The regular biscuits and the biscuits & gravy are a staple & must. I really wanted to like this place. But, the biscuits just simply aren't good. If you have the word biscuit in your name, you need to have stellar biscuits. Not only were these not stellar, they were honestly kind of gross. They're not light and flaky at all. They're dense like cake and have so much butter in them it's like eating a brick of lard. Maybe the other reviewers didn't notice this because they ordered the slathered versions. The potatoes were barely warm and totally dried out and the bacon was burnt. This place rocks. They've got great food, great drinks, and I've got a great system figured out. Don't turn away if the parking lot is full and there is a line out the dirt. We drove an hour to check it out - Showed up and there was a line to the door. We ordered, took a seat, were served, and out the door in under 30 minutes. I ordered the Flamethrower and a Bloody Mary and my wife had a vicious biscuit and a greyhound. (I think if I go back I'll have to try the Vicious). ​We live basically across the street from Vicious Biscuit ​and eagerly awaited the grand opening. We could see lines out the door for the first few days so we stayed away until things settled down. These, especially the "Gravy Train," could easily feed two people or more. Both were totally delicious​ but were GUT BUSTERS. I wouldn't recommend coming here with a huge hangover or you will be spending the rest of the day in the bathroom. Or, you can drink and create a hangover here (lots of libations to choose from), eat biscuits, then go home and spend the rest of the day in the bathroom. I liked the Vicious Biscuit a ton. And I'm glad it's across the street, hoping it will give us Mt. P'ers a respite from another possible storage facility...at least for a while​! My wife and I both had The Vicious and coffee this morning at 8:00 am. The food was delicious and the coffee was freshly brewed and rich with a deep taste. Ava was courteous and friendly and attentive to our order. We were reminded that we could ask for "to go" cups of coffee. The ambiance was great--filled with people from all backgrounds: beach goers, business types (even on Memorial Day), families, etc. This was not our first visit nor will it be our last. read more

Great food alert! The biscuits themselves are fluffy and delicious and ordering the signature biscuits is fun as there are a lot of combinations I wouldn't think of. I highly recommend the Vicious (although full disclosure I remove the jalapeños). It's a little pricy for everyday consumption but is a fun brunch spot with a bar.
