    Fried Apple Biscuit
    Melody B.

This was a hidden gem in the West Ashley area of Charleston. I saw the word Biscuit in the title passing by the plaza and told my husband we had to stop in for a quick breakfast before heading to the beach. I am so glad we did because these biscuits were some of my favorite on this trip. It's a small order at the counter place. You can take your food to-go or eat inside/outside. The cashier was super nice explaining the menu to us. If the ingredient is listed on the menu, it means it comes on the biscuit. I got the Fried Apple Biscuit. My husband got the Big Bro with tots. It was cool that the hash brown was in the biscuit for him. Once we ordered, the cashier gave us a number to put at our table so they could know where to deliver the food. The food came so FAST - maybe 2 minutes. My biscuit and fried apples were hot (temperature wise). My whole meal was absolutely delicious and filling. The biscuit was bigger than my palm. I had some of my husband's tots too and I highly recommend ordering some to split too because it was a lot of food. Absolutely loved this place! Staff were nice and food was delicious.

    Chorizo breakfast burrito

Ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and was fully satisfied. I love chorizo, so I could've used more chorizo, but there was sufficient amount on there. The sauces that came with it, a red sauce and a green sauce, were both good. I went through the drive-thru, and they were quick with my order after the vehicle ahead of me took a while.

The service was spectacular. We both had biscuits and they were totally wonderful. Definitely a hidden gem in Charleston.

The variety of foods offered here is incredible. The service and staff are locked into quality from the constant cleaning to the organizing and stocking of the dining room. The ambiance if sunny, funky, cool, laid back vibes. The man on the grill is genuinely concerned with putting ONLY quality products out of the service window no mater what it happen to be. We got the Hillbilly Philly breakfast sandwich and the Lil Bro. Made it a combo with more tots than you can eat in one sitting. The biscuits were well created to handle the task of whatever you put in them on on them. The Hillbilly philly was a monster of a sandwich and the biscuit say intact for the entirety of its enjoyment. Coffee was great quality and condiments were plentiful and sticked well. Front of house staff were attentive and eager to make sure you had everything you needed to enjoy your experience. Check out the @girlswhopaintmurals artwork on the main wall of the dinging room. It IS the vibe of this place. I'd love to try something NON breakfast here as well. Smash burger etc..... so many choices.

Stopped by here while leaving Charleston headed home with some friends and had breakfast here. I had got the country fried steak biscuit which I will say was average in my opinion and i got home fries with them that were barely crispy and under seasoned. Initially had to send my biscuit back due to it not being cooked all the way but they were very apologetic and made me a new one. The girlfriend got a sausage biscuit and also said it was very average and the tots tasted just like Ore Ida tater tots with a very little bit of seasoning. Staff was amazing here though and the outdoor sitting area was okay. All in all would I come back here while visiting Charleston? No probably not. Overall experience... Average but not bad either

Big Bros biscuit with a combo (tots and drink)

Really soooooooo good!! I order the Big Bros combo and it was delicious! Also, a decent size on the hot coffee which is a plus! So worth it!

Yummy breakfast spot!! Food came out super fast, great customer service. The tator tots were sooo crunchy and so many biscuit options!

Great local spot for breakfast and lunch! Definitely go give them a try the biscuit was so fresh and soft. Coffee was nice and fresh, and the breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon was outstanding, it was huge! I will definitely be back!

    The High Tide was super-filling.

These biscuits are off the chain! They are not the flaky, crumbly biscuits you may be used to being served locally. They are small-crumb, smooth-top almost sandwich rolls in appearance, but are biscuits in taste and texture: soft and giving to the tooth, but sturdy, not separating into pieces or crumbling in your hands. They are unlike what I imagined I would receive, but in a wonderful and flavorful way. This is a biscuit sandwich you could eat in your car without making a mess. But don't eat in your car. We got delivery, so they may be more crisp without the road trip, but they were soft and giving on arrival. We got a trio of biscuits intending to share. I started with the Low Country, as I am a sucker for pimento cheese and always have to try it. It was a huge round smooth-top biscuit tender enough for my fingers to make imprints but with enough body to not crumble apart after a bite. It was loaded with a perfect moist-crunchy piece of fried chicken, tangy pickles, and lackluster pimento cheese. The topping was so mild as to be unnoticeable and might as well have not been present. Hubby got the High Tide and loved it. With bacon, egg, cheese and hash brown on a toothsome biscuit, it was more than a meal's worth. It really made his morning. We shared the Country Comfort the next day and found it fine, but underwhelming, especially compared to the High Tide. Country fried steak needed more seasoning. Gravy had obviously soaked in and egg was reheated but overall imagining it eaten hot and fresh it would be another satisfying breakfast sandwich, and definitely too much for one sitting. The biscuits are not cheap, but you get 2 meals from them. Or be real hungry and risk hating yourself in an hour LOL These things are HUGE!

The iced latte had just the right balance of vanilla and cinnamon without being overly sweet, the cappuccino was expertly crafted, and the smoothie was incredibly refreshing. We ordered at the counter, grabbed drinks from the fridge and found a table on the side, covered patio. Food was brought out super quickly and it was absolutely delicious. I got the St. Philip pita, which was incredible and almost tasted like a halal cart chicken sandwich in the best way. It was so filling and so good. It came with a really tasty side salad. My fiance got the BLT which was just as great. I can see this being a really ideal space to bring my laptop and get some work done if I lived in the area. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a great, casual space for breakfast, lunch or coffees.

We came for breakfast and started with the banana bread with Nutella cream cheese -- absolutely incredible. We also split the cornmeal pancakes, which were so good we came back the next morning just to have them again. I ordered the B.E.C. with the home fries, and I can honestly say they may have been the best potatoes I've ever had in any form. Our waiter was super busy & at times hard to flag down. He did a nice job of refills for the kids, but when the food came out, we literally had zero napkins and zero utensils. That is basic stuff- I shouldn't have to flag down people for when getting seated. I ended up finding another waiter who was helping to bring out our food and asking him for napkins and cutlery. The beignets here are not what you expect- think super mini ones versus the classic ones you get from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans or other joints. We would have placed two orders of them except I knew the brunch plates would be big, and we wanted our kiddos to eat their meal before filling up on sweets. I got the Meeting plate- double portion of crab cakes on top of fried green tomatoes with grits and a huge buttermilk biscuit, where I didn't finish the biscuit and had one of our kids eat half of it. I was craving some fried green tomatoes but also wanted seafood so that worked out! My partner got the fried green tomatoes BLT and loved it. One of our kids got the chicken and waffles, another ate all of the fried chicken tenderloins, and our third really wanted buttermilk pancakes that were a hefty plate. No shortage of being hungry at this place! The food was good, but I would not say it was anything too different than any other brunch place-but for, the fried green tomatoes & other southern offerings like grits that you wouldn't get in other parts of the country. There are only two wash rooms, so there can be a wait especially when you have a long line of ladies waiting FYI. Prices are not too bad and standard for brunch so still an alternative when you are looking for fuel to fill up before doing your shopping on King's Street.
