Absolutely fantastic!! The biscuits are big and fluffy and beautifully flavored. We had the Fat Boy and Babe, both excellent choices. The fat boy has fried chicken, yummy pimento cheese and a spicy honey drizzle. The babe had excellent pulled pork, bacon and jalapeños (had a good sauce as well). They have a good selection of butter and jams as well as self serve coffee and soda (free refills). They also have a selection of specialty coffees and fresh juices. The definition of a meal that you kind of feel bad about yourself for having but are still glad you did it. Boastfully overly indulgent, huge portions of stuff that is simply not at all good for you but just phenomenal. Had a Flamethrower. Delicious, good amount of pop to it but not so much as to be overwhelming. I'm a big boy and was starving and I couldn't finish it. I don't want to think about how many calories that was, but it was delicious with a fried egg thrown on it. Toppings bar has some winners too. Maple bourbon butter if I was even more shameless than I am already I probably would have stuffed a few to go side containers of on my way out. Get you some. Disclaimer. This review is also posted on Google. It's a long one and I did not want to write two! To review or not to review. That was the question. I usually don't do reviews on places unless they are really good or really bad. I decided to go ahead and do this one even though I mostly liked this place. There is another review on here that I would agree with and I finally decided in the interest of the Holy Southern Buttermilk Biscuit that I had to give my opinion a voice. To start I will say what I did like. I generally do not like counter service because you usually get the counter and no service. This restaurant does counter service right. A good approach lane with menus provided in the lane and also able to see the menu up on the wall straight in front of you. Quick service at the counter. I didn't like the tip request at ordering time but and this was also done well, we had workers coming to the table several times asking if we needed anything and noticed quick table clearing giving fast table turnover. So did not mind the tip request. These guys deserved it and earned it. So, exceptional service and cleanliness. Well done! On to the food we go. Whenever I go to a restaurant that is "famous" for biscuits I usually get biscuits and gravy because if you can't do this, then I don't want anything else. We ordered the Gravy Train with sides of two eggs, grits and bacon. The Gravy Train is two biscuits with sausage gravy. The biscuits are buttermilk biscuits and the gravy is sausage gravy. First, these are huge biscuits which in my opinion should require a large amount of gravy. I ran out of gravy long before I finished the biscuit. The proportions are way off. Second, I liked the outside crunchy part of the biscuits but I did not like how sweet these biscuits were. These, after all, are buttermilk biscuits and that's the flavor profile I want when eating buttermilk biscuits and (hopefully), buttermilk based gravy. If I want sweet in a bread at breakfast then cinnamon rolls will do. The gravy was also sweet, but I think this was because they used sweet Italian sausage. A normal Southern or sage based sausage would be much better. I could be wrong there, but it was on the sweet side. Thirdly, I was not a big fan of the texture of the inside of the biscuit, to me it was crumbly and not flaky or fluffy. In other words, more like a cake than a biscuit. As for the sides, the eggs were done well and the grits were really good. I wish the bacon had been crispier but when it came to the table curled up in the bottom of a cup I knew I should have asked for crispy bacon so that's my fault. Don't get me wrong, I did like this restaurant and will go back because someone there knows how to run this kind of restaurant and I would like to try other items on their menu. Also, from other reviews it would seem that a lot of people like/love their biscuits and like me, really like the restaurant. I would seem to be an outlier on the biscuits but I know biscuits and the Holy Southern Buttermilk Biscuit should be bursting with buttermilk flavor, not sweetness and I had to voice my opinion, even if it is different from many other reviews. I will leave with this, if you like your biscuits to be sweet, then maybe you should turn in your "Southern" card, cause you warn't raised right! That goes for cornbread too! Vicious Biscuit is the best thing I've eaten in the 16 years I've lived in the Lowcountry. 90% of this towns F&B is hype, so I rolled my eyes when yet another "Southern" restaurant popped up. And they make biscuits? Yawn. Boy - was I wrong. I wish I was thin, because these biscuits are absolutely amazing and I want to eat them every day. No hyperbole - It was an awakening. Stopped in for brunch and was pleasantly surprised. Hubby has some food intolerances but was able to get the strawberry poppyseed salad and I tried the namesake biscuit "the vicious" and a coffee. The vicious biscuit was flavorful, sweet from the cowboy candy (candied jalapeños) and maple syrup but savory from the jalapeño cheddar biscuit and sausage gravy. Decided to try this place out one Saturday morning. It's been open for about 3 months. Clean and busy, the line was all the way to the door. Once you get to the counter you order your food, then find a table. They give you a number and they bring your food out when it's ready. I ordered the Bird and Belgium which is a sweet potato biscuit waffle with fried chicken breast, honey butter and apple pie jam. My nana order the old school breakfast. They biscuits are huge. They also have a butter and jam bar. The food was delicious. I can't wait until the one opens in Nexton so I don't have to drive so far. I will be returning to try something different. read more

We decided to try this place on a Sunday morning hopping the rain and Super Bowl would deter people from going. Nope! It was packed and the line to order was out the door. Thankfully I was able to get a table while my husband waited in line. I ordered the sea biscuit and my husband got the gravy train. My daughter got the kids yogurt bowl and we all shared a side of grits with cheese and potatoes. The sea biscuit was very good and just what I expected. The shrimp wasn't shrimpy tasting with a sweet chili mayo sauce drizzled over it. The purple cabbage was cut very thin and added just the right amount of crunch. My husband said his gravy train was a little sweet but that didn't stop him from eating it all. He really loves his biscuits and gravy. The yogurt for my daughter was very tart and it didn't help that the fruit was all tart. If your child doesn't like Greek yogurt, don't get that! The grits with cheese were really creamy and had a good amount of flavor. Definitely add the the cheese cause it was just so stringy and good! The potatoes weren't how I like them. They were just deep fried potatoes not much but a burnt fried potato taste. I also got a bloody marry which was good but I would have liked to have a brunch price instead of paying full price for it. Everything is order and the counter and self serve. The drinks and coffee are at the front with a bar of butter and jams. The waiters bring your food out and clear away your dishes. The hardest part was getting two coffees and two drinks to our table. Had to make two trips since there isn't a place to put everything down and rearrange. Food was good. Not too many non biscuit options but that was expected. The "Scotlyn" was fantastic! But $36 for two people for breakfast is obscene. $6 for a "large" OJ is insane, even if it is fresh squeezed by a machine. Hell, it's only $6 for a fresh squeezed OJ WITH vodka at Outback! I know the place is new and they're working the kinks out but at least put some creamer and syrup on the tables so we don't have to wait in line twice. Also, when it's crowded, you're gonna wait in line to order, then you get a number to put on your table. Problem is, some folks go ahead and send someone in to reserve a table even before they've ordered. So you're standing there after you've ordered and there's no table. My first thought when I took my first bite was , this ish is amazing. The biscuit was perfectly made and the taste with the crabmeat mixed with the running of the egg along with the biscuit and fried green tomato. I couldn't even imagine a better taste. If you're hungry than this is the place to be for a delicious, vicious, biscuit. Check out their menu, they have some pretty unique items that they put on their biscuits. The one that I got today was called the Babe, and check out the size of that thing! Sometimes a biscuit fits in your hand, but at Vicious, you're gonna need a fork and knife for some of the heavy hitters. They've also got a butter bar; with different butters and jams that you can put on your biscuit. Don't let the line discourage you, they are one of the fastest serving restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of dining at and the food is even more amazing. Personally, I'm not particularly fond of biscuits but after eating here, I could eat them 7 days out of the week! Popped in here for breakfast on a Sunday and service was great and staff was very friendly. Food came out in no more than 10 minutes. I got myself the regular biscuits and gravy with some sweet puppies. I have a big appetite and thought I'd need more than just the B&G but let me tell you, they do not skimp on portions. I had to take a third of it home for lunch, so don't get cocky about how much you can eat here! The food itself was quite delicious, but not great. I've definitely had more flavorful gravy.
