Belly up - dead kitchen. I wouldn't go until the management fixes their kitchen production issues. Shame on them for not paying attention and fixing it without impacting customers. 4 of us went today. We were about to sit at a table when a server told us the kitchen is "paused" (like that's a normal thing), meaning Belly was not taking any more orders until their kitchen caught up. But we could hang around an indeterminate amount of time until the kitchen clog cleared. I'd understand if Belly had just opened up a new patio area, doubling their customer capacity, although the unpreparedness would reflect an amateur operation. But no - seating capacity hasn't changed. Belly just can't seem to get their kitchen production act together to properly service the same seats they've had since they opened. This isn't a nuance, it's a fundamental restaurant operational requirement. Why not just remove half the seating capacity so you can keep up? I liked the Belly, and I love their bright sunny location. Too bad they can't figure out how to serve their customers. Don't go until they do.

WOW, that biscuit!! I'm no biscuit expert by any means as I just moved here from out of state but what I do know is that this the BEST and most impressive biscuit I've had yet! I ordered the biscuit bennie. It came with brisket that I didn't really care for but I loved the poached egg and mornay sauce on top of that incredibly thick but still soft, light & fluffy biscuit! My husband and I also shared an order of the Bonuts (biscuit donut holes) with both the cream cheese & jam dips. They are just as fantastic as they sound; I could have eaten 100 of them! I will definitely be back for more biscuits :)

Incredible biscuits with gravy with a wonderful eggs Benedict spin.

We had maybe two hours to do a little research on Summerville. We found Biscuit Bely here on Yelp. Great find. Food: incredible biscuits. With gravy. But the first time the biscuits ever stole the show. Second entree: very nice inhouse spin on eggs Benedict. Service: different. You do a lot if it yourself but the crew was great. Ambiance: it looked like a funky refurb of a service station. Well done. Price: more craft than crap so you'll not see a two-for-$5 biscuit deal here. And: we're due back in late April. We'll be here.

My first time visiting Biscuit Belly and this spot did not disappoint. I loved the sequence Summerville sign inside the dining area. The vibrant colors filled the restaurant. You order at the front counter which you are given a number and there is inside and outside dining seating available. The staff bring your food to your table. There are accessible restrooms as well as street parking outside. The staff were friendly and prices were reasonable.

Super fast and friendly service. You order at the counter and then your food comes to the table. We ordered a little bit of everything and it all came out hot and fresh. I liked the sausage wrapped in a pancake - just like a corn dog. The cream cheese frosting for the donuts was delicious. Also really enjoyed the cheese grits!!

Went to Biscuit Belly on a late Sunday afternoon and the line was still very long. It took awhile before we placed our order but it wasn't too busy in the restaurant. We got our food in about 10-15 minutes after ordering. I got the basic biscuit and my hubby got the Rockwell supreme. My biscuit came with bacon, egg cheese and a sauce of choice. Overall I would say it was just ok. The biscuit was a very classic and dense buttermilk biscuit and I prefer a cheesy or buttery biscuit with lots of flavor. My hubby liked the fried chicken on his and said his biscuit was pretty good. Overall, the food was ok but nothing I'd be craving. With so many other biscuit places in town, I'd rather go to one with faster service and cheesy/buttery biscuits.

I tried Biscuit Belly in Summerville for the first time and I really enjoyed it. This fast casual restaurant is very warm and welcoming from the decor to the associate ready to assist you with recommendations on food if you can't make up your mind on all the menu options. For me, I decided to go with the Belly Board. Included was a biscuit, choice of grits or home fries, eggs your way, and bacon or sausage. There was so much food I took my time to finish it while enjoying the music they played. The eggs were perfect, the potatoes were hot and seasoned well, and the biscuit and bacon were great. Make sure to sign up for the rewards as it is one of the better programs I have seen.

Everything and More going on at Biscuit Belly! I'm a breakfast Gal so I was super excited to come. So when you come in you place an order and then find a seat. Very spacious and vibrant inside. I love the decor. I ordered the Chick n Ditch the Waffle with an over-easy egg and fried green tomatoes. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. The fried green tomato was fried perfectly and the sauce with it was great. My drink was a Praline Mocha iced coffee and it was delish. My friends also loved the lavender Mimosa. There is free parking behind Bexley or you can park in the garage behind the restaurant. Kid Friendly Great staff

Perfection all three times I've been here! I've always gotta get an extra side of delicious fried green tomatoes here with my biscuit sandwich! They have fast and friendly service, and offer first responders and military discount!

Stopped in after soccer before Oktoberfest and am so glad we checked it out! We had the fire in my belly and it was delicious and so filling! Service was prompt and friendly. The location has indoor and outdoor seating and gorgeous tile mural! Would def be back!

    Bonuts and Avocado toastie
    Ashley M.

Friendly staff at the counter and the door! They served a snack while you waited in line and the Bonuts got us!!! Devine!! I ordered the iced lavender latte and the avocado toastie - which is big enough to split! Cute signs and enough windows for that good light for photos! Will be adding this to the rotation of places to stop at when I come back to Summerville!

    The Boozy Bird
    Ken D.

Tried Biscuit Belly out for the first time and ordered The Boozy Bird with a side of Home Fries. The service was friendly and quick. The ambiance of the restaurant was a very 80s style vibe like an old style dinner with the neon signs throughout.

    Olivia M.

Very nicely decorated and vibrant! There's plenty of seating inside and outside which I'm sure is busy on the weekends ! Was greeted upon entry by staff and everyone seemed happy. The food was great and the biscuit was so flaky. The Bo nuts with the bourbon cream cheese was sooooo good! Would definitely return.

The jalapeño biscuit was made with fresh jalapeños, a twist from the usual. The sausage, and egg were cooked to perfection and thick. The grits were smooth and melty. If you never had grits, this a good start, but there are many varieties, colors, and ways to prepare. In the low country you have to try them at several places to find you favorite. A little like Goldilocks and for many southerners a matter of personal taste. Finally, the people were consummate southern hospitality! If you're looking for the gold standard of brunch in Summerville, look no further than First Watch…read moreon North Main Street. This isn't just your typical "eggs and toast" diner; it's a full-on culinary experience that manages to feel both incredibly healthy and deeply indulgent at the exact same time. From the second you walk through the door, you're hit with the "Sun-Up" vibe--it's bright, airy, and smells like fresh-squeezed citrus and high-end coffee. We were greeted by a host who gave us a realistic wait time, but here is a pro tip: use their app to join the waitlist before you even leave your house. We did that and were whisked to a booth within five minutes of arriving. The Appetizer You Can't Skip We started with the Million Dollar Bacon, and let me tell you, the name is an understatement. It's four slices of hardwood smoked bacon baked with a brown sugar and black pepper crust, finished with a maple syrup drizzle. The way the cayenne pepper provides a tiny kick at the end to balance the sweetness is genius. It is thick, crispy, and honestly, I would come back just for a plate of that. The Main Event For the mains, our table tried a variety of dishes to see if the kitchen could handle the rush: Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: These are probably the fluffiest pancakes I've ever had. The ricotta adds a creamy richness without making them heavy, and the marinated berries on top were burst-in-your-mouth fresh. They didn't even need extra syrup. The Tri-Athlete Omelet: For those trying to stay on track with fitness goals, this is the move. It's an egg white omelet loaded with house-roasted onions, tomatoes, and cremini mushrooms. It felt light but was surprisingly filling. Farmhouse Hash: This is the ultimate comfort bowl. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly (not too salty), and the two over-easy eggs on top created a rich sauce that tied the whole thing together. The Juice Bar & Coffee You cannot visit First Watch without hitting the juice bar. We tried the Purple Haze--it's visually stunning with the butterfly pea flower, and the lemon/cane sugar combo is incredibly refreshing. Also, their Project Sunrise Coffee is some of the best "restaurant coffee" I've ever tasted. Knowing it supports female farmers in Colombia makes that second (and third) refill taste even better. Service & Atmosphere Despite the place being packed, the service was seamless. Our server, Justin, was a machine--he anticipated our refills before we even asked and knew the menu inside and out, even suggesting a side of the "Greens dressed with lemon" which was a perfect palate cleanser. The atmosphere is energetic but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Whether you're a local or just passing through the 29483 area, this First Watch location is firing on all cylinders. It's clean, the ingredients are top-tier, and the menu is creative enough to keep you coming back week after week.

Nope, about 4oz of berries and coffee with honey, creamer, turmeric, cinnamon and cayenne for me. Please note my listed concoction is extremely beneficial to the body, containing anti-inflammatory and antioxidants. Ok back to the point, I had the opportunity to meet a friend from church for lunch and I figured since I've never been to a First Watch in my life, to give it a try. The ride over at 11:15 on a Tuesday morning was easy, light on traffic with ample parking in a very safe section of town. I beat my comrade, for my Russian friends, to the restaurant as he was lagging a bit so the courteous wait staff promptly seated me. To be honest the franchise appears to have a forced hommy look to it. As if they're trying to be something you'd find on a winding country road where only the locals know about. To be honest, the ambiance is the lowest on my checklist, so depending on your perspective, that's a good thing. My hostess/waitress was asking me about my beverage before I was seated! I like this commitment to service. She even got me honey for my sweetener as I requested. Slow... slow golf clap from the audience. As I confessed before, I'm not a big breakfast person but I try to eat reasonable 90% of the time to stay "fit as a fiddle" (I'm curious where that analogy came from). While I could have enjoyed a great number of items, I opted for 1 Belgian waffle and 2 over easy eggs to go with my coffee. My skinny friend (grumble) got the Tri Fecta b/c.... well he's skinny! But as I recall it was about the same as my dish but with bacon. First off, my eggs were perfectly over easy - cooked 65% on one side the rest on the other with a very runny yolk, tasty! Now for the waffle, can we say "false advertising on 3?" Belgian waffles are thicker, have a "yiester" batter and pearl sugar. Plus, the "syrup traps" (all rights to Mitch Hedberg) are deeper while it has a crispier exterior and fluffier interior. In other words what I got was a deflated, defeated and structurally defunct piece of want to be abstract art, only something that a painter like Mark Rothko could appreciate (look him up). It was tasty but when I love waffles and have refrained for literal years I had my hopes set way to high. Anyways it was an average experience with only one syrup option! Oh I apologize for the pic, I was hungry and forgot to snap one before I destroyed it with my pitchfork. Overall, I don't want to nitpick too much but give constructive advice. So, the great -bacon, eggs, coffee, customer service, noise level and comfort. The average or slightly below average - the waffle (mislabeled) and ambiance via drab decor. If I were to come back, which isn't a reflection on the restaurant but my eating habits, I would opt for the eggs benedict as I make them all the time at home since homemade hollandaise sauce is easy and elevates any dish.

Our waiter was very attentive to our large party and food was brought out rather quickly. My biggest complaint was that food. I love eggs Benedict and a crab cake, so I had to make the obvious choice to get the crab cake eggs Benedict. The grits were very smooth and buttery with no lumps! The fried green tomato was fried to perfection but it didn't have much seasoning. It was beneath the crab cake, so maybe that's why it wasn't seasoned well. Also, the toast was really good. Idk what kind of toast you he had on the side but it went well with the jelly! My biggest gripe was the start of the show--the crabcake. It did not taste like a real crab cake AT ALL It tasted like a crab cake from a box with a lot of breading which was disappointing. Also, the breading on the crumb cake made it so crunchy to where I thought I was eating a chicken tender. Also, the sauce on top tasted weird and didn't complement any of the flavors on the plate. Overall, the experience was not bad. The menu is vast so I may be inclined to return to try other options. I just would not try the crabcake again.

What a find! Visiting Charleston from Michigan and wanted some good southern food. This place…read moredelivered! Started with the bow wow shrimp appetizer. Fried shrimp itossed in hot honey and green onions. Amazing! For the main had to try mee maws meatloaf. What a great taste! The wait staff were on top of things. No waiting for a table, constantly checking on things, refilling drinks and fast service. Food came out quickly and well prepared! This place is a MUST STOP if in the area!

Hmmm. Not sure what to make of this place. I did just move here from New England and I like…read moresouthern food, but something about this place didn't do it for me... My husband and I came in for dinner and sat at the bar. We started with the cheese fritters & bacon jam. We initially thought the bacon jam was missing, but the fritters were great so we just kept eating them! When we got down to the last one, we both realized the "odd looking fritter" in the bowl that we were both avoiding, was the jam (oops!). It was a similar color and shape to the fritters but we both just laughed about avoiding it. For my entree, I was sold on the "award-winning" shrimp & grits that were featured on the Today show (as per their menu). Surprising that this meal made it that far as it didn't taste like anything special to me. It was not bad but very basic/plain; so basic that it felt like something was missing. It was the same case with my husband's meatloaf. However, I would still recommend checking this place out and deciding for yourself if you like it here ;)
