It tasted organic and reminded me of picking blackberries as a kid. I enjoyed my food which included sausage, biscuit, grits & eggs. Two of my family members ordered the Rockwell. One of them didn't like the gravy that came on it. I ordered my kid the pancake corn dog, but he didn't want it. Belly up - dead kitchen. I wouldn't go until the management fixes their kitchen production issues. Shame on them for not paying attention and fixing it without impacting customers. 4 of us went today. We were about to sit at a table when a server told us the kitchen is "paused" (like that's a normal thing), meaning Belly was not taking any more orders until their kitchen caught up. But we could hang around an indeterminate amount of time until the kitchen clog cleared. I'd understand if Belly had just opened up a new patio area, doubling their customer capacity, although the unpreparedness would reflect an amateur operation. But no - seating capacity hasn't changed. Belly just can't seem to get their kitchen production act together to properly service the same seats they've had since they opened. This isn't a nuance, it's a fundamental restaurant operational requirement. Why not just remove half the seating capacity so you can keep up? I liked the Belly, and I love their bright sunny location. Too bad they can't figure out how to serve their customers. Don't go until they do. read more

I don't mind the prices a ton but it has been very limiting when suggesting brunch places - no one ever wants to go to biscuit belly because it's so expensive. Went to Biscuit Belly on a late Sunday afternoon and the line was still very long. It took awhile before we placed our order but it wasn't too busy in the restaurant. We got our food in about 10-15 minutes after ordering. I got the basic biscuit and my hubby got the Rockwell supreme. My biscuit came with bacon, egg cheese and a sauce of choice. Overall I would say it was just ok. The biscuit was a very classic and dense buttermilk biscuit and I prefer a cheesy or buttery biscuit with lots of flavor. This fast casual restaurant is very warm and welcoming from the decor to the associate ready to assist you with recommendations on food if you can't make up your mind on all the menu options. For me, I decided to go with the Belly Board. Included was a biscuit, choice of grits or home fries, eggs your way, and bacon or sausage. There was so much food I took my time to finish it while enjoying the music they played. The eggs were perfect, the potatoes were hot and seasoned well, and the biscuit and bacon were great. Was excited to try this new place in Summerville for brunch. It's a fast casual place very similarly to vicious biscuit. I thought they had a unique approach to their French toast and enjoyed the texture and flavor of them. The iced coffee had way too much milk to coffee ratio in my opinion. So my husband and I both got 2 different kinds of their "inside out omelette" and quite literally the dish is an egg omelette with the toppings layered on top. We did not enjoy them very much. It lacked salt, dry and was very bland. I doused mine with lots of ketchup and the sauce it came with. I think we came to conclusion that an omelette with the ingredients inside is better and more cohesive. What I did enjoy was the mini biscuits with the 3 dipping options. Rich, creamy and actually very flavorful. I would come back to try some other things just to see if I might enjoy it better than what I got. I liked that they had an avocado toast that I was able to take the egg off and make vegan, but it was just okay. I've definitely had better ones around town. I considered getting another drink, however by that time the line was out the door. I'm not sure the "waitstaff" can take orders since you're to order before you find a table to sit at for them to bring your food over. Overall the food is good & service is great as far as quality, getting the food quickly & getting extra condiments, however if you want extra food or drinks it can be difficult since you have to get back in line to order. From Ciara at the front counter who was so pleasant, to Davanh who helped us and made sure we had everything we needed. Even the hostess was nice and inviting. Chicken biscuit was 8/10. The biscuit itself seemed to be cooked a little too long. It was in the shape of a heart, so cute! Chicken was hot, juicy, and very well-seasoned. The bourbon maple syrup is thin, not overly sweet, and has a hint of bourbon flavor. I poured the syrup over my chicken and dipped the biscuit in it. Bonuts were 10/10! They were also shaped into little hearts :) Served hot and fresh with a soft interior, covered in cinnamon sugar. Comes with dipping sauces on the side -- bourbon cream cheese frosting and berry jam. Absolutely delicious. Their omelettes are served inside out, toppings placed across the top. The T-Bird comes with tender turkey, a poblano-tomato sauce, avocado & side of home fries or cheese grits. The omelette itself could have been a little bigger and hotter, but the amount of toppings was satisfactory. 8/10 Brown Sugar Shaken drink has a light body. They only have oat milk as an alternative. They have pictures on their website on the menu inside the restaurant, which is great, but also makes it difficult when so much looks so good. Ordered the loaded breakfast tots, for the table and "The Rockwell" for my meal. The tots were delicious, and a side of 4 would've been sufficient for the 2 of us along with the meal. "The Rockwell" is a fried chicken biscuit with cheddar and sausage gravy. I don't typically get cheese on my chicken biscuit, but I went with it and it was good. I could've used more gravy. I also ordered a jumbo classic mimosa with pineapple juice. It's decorated bright and colorful. A great, happy way to start the day. You order at the counter and are given a number for your table so they can bring the order to you. Everyone was nice and helpful with answering questions about the menu. The best biscuit place in Summerville? Parking: There's plenty of places to park in downtown Summerville thankfully with accommodations such as the parking garage or street parking. Service: Upon entering you will see menus for you to go through and place your order. It's 2 sided with a good amount of options that's not overwhelming. Food: I ordered the Go Goetta with scrambled egg on top with cheese grits. To my surprise, I didn't expect the biscuits to be that BIG. If possible get one and assess from there if you can eat two. The biscuits were amazing and the cheese grits was possibly the best I've had in Summerville? Adding Jam and hotsauce to the biscuit made it better to me, but you could eat it with the gravy alone. My family had the pancakes with the house and the brisket biscuit which they thoroughly enjoyed. Our whole dish was amazing! Ambiance: Ambiance is appealing, the colors were very welcoming. There was a good amount of natural light coming which gave it a good ambiance. I did arrive an hour before they were closing to avoid any rush and I'm glad I did. Opportunities: The store doesn't offer online ordering, at least as of the day of opening which is understandable, I'm sure they'll get that situated. She mentioned she would check and see what the issue was and 10 minutes later she returned with the rest of our food. It wasn't something to be upset about, in my opinion. My wife ordered the brisket biscuit and asked for it not to be fatty because we were informed it wouldn't be, but it was.
