    Raw hide doggy chews

Very disappointing I been going for a long time well over 30 years at times like this April 26,2025 why would you sell me something that could have been thrown in a landfill these rib tips where like raw hide that you would give your dog hard dried up could not even bite into them so I have been giving pieces to the dog and he is having a hard time chewing them. What a shame

Always something wrong when I come to this play . Last time they gave me rib tips instead of rib dinner. Now today I get home and the ribs were burnt and i know that they knew what they were doing because they put my ribs on the tray upside down so I wouldn't see it.

Old School Pit Smoked Ribs watched the Pitmaster load a case of Ribs in the Smoker. It's a mega pit on the left as you enter the joint. A three plus story high chimney bellows the smoke outside. A absolute wonderful smell as you exit your ride. Got a Slab O Ribs Famous in Detroit many decades, they got lots of Meat. Watched as they dunked in the sauce, cut and placed in container. Come with Bread slices for sucking up xtra sauce and order of thick cut Fries. That sauce a taste of Carolina Vinegar Base with wee bit o heat. Truly a fantastic deal fed 2 of us with leftovers. Been in business for 56 years and they are consistently ranked as one of the top places for BBQ in Detroit. They specialize in Charcoal Pit Smoked Ribs, Smoked Rib Tips and Chicken, and Secret Recipe Fried Shrimp. We going back soon for the Chicken and Shrimp. #vickisbarbq @vickis.barbq #ribs #smokepit #slaboribs #bbqjoint #bbqsauce #gotribs #swdetroit #downriverfriendseat

Detroit BBQ legendary spot. Rough hood so be safe, but worth it. Call order in to save time, gets busy. Everything is good here. Ribs are quality cut of meat, nice grilled charcoal taste. Sauce very good. In between sweet and tangy. Not Open Pit based which is a welcome since far too many urban spots have that taste base. Get the hot bbq sauce on side it is superb. Wonderful kick. I can seriously see using this sauce in a bloody mary. Fried shrimp superb. Good batter and quality shrimp. Packet tarter only miss. Catch 22 is they are better to eat right away because otherwise fried foods can lose their crispiness in bags due to steam (a helpful trick is to keep the bag open and let the steam out). Steak fries are divine. Love the old school transparent fry bag they come in. Careful - you might become a regular or need a monthly fix. Parks and Vicki's are hands down the top BBQ spots in the D, Slow's in third. Both wrap the rib on a styrofoam plate wrapped w seran wrap.

Never ever again. $50 wasted for the last time at Vicki's

They completely ruined it. The bbq sauce is obviously diffrent and they won't even admit it. It's not worth the drive anymore.

Old time favorite. Best charcoal grilled ribs in town. Chicken, ribs and shrimps. The sauce is finger licking good.

Even the bar seats have the 6 sauces at every two seats. They have the seasonal one now, which makes up the 6th sauce. It is a KC smoky sauce. The remaining sauces are still apple, sweet, spicy, NC, and SC mustard. Pro tip: lift the straw on any drinks with a salt rim For a drink to start things, I tried the tallow-rita which I found to be pretty interesting, at least on paper. It consists of smoked tallow washed tequila, gran gala, lime, honey, pineapple, a smoked sea salt rim, and brisket and dehydrated lime garnish. This sounded like a lot of effort to make. I later added an iced tea for the road. For my food I chose the 1/4lb brisket (fatty) and a side of the premium mac n cheese. I later added their famous carrot cake. Margarita - kind of disappointing since the menu states they have a brisket garnish, but the bartender says they're not doing that anymore. Geez, that was part of the reason I even ordered the drink in the first place. This drink was alright but was small and didn't wow me like I had hoped. Thus, the reason I ended up having to order the iced tea afterwards. Brisket - very thick single slice, fatty for sure. Exactly what I wanted. I tried the brisket with all 6 sauces and even went through the sauces twice just to make sure. Mac n cheese - a premium side that is $1 more. This is like a mini mac n cheese casserole. It uses shells as the pasta and sharp cheddar. Yummy! I loved the spices on this dish. Carrot cake - this was definitely moist and served with plenty of pecans I enjoyed it quite a bit. Wish they had banana pudding though! I'm also disappointed that they do have sausage but it's not available a la carte. It's only on the $59 sampler platter appetizer. Please consider making it a la carte as well!! I was thinking I'd like the spicy sauce the best, but it's not spicy and seemed more like a tomato paste to me...very strange! I ended up liking the apple sauce the best. It has the best overall taste, right consistency, and it's very neutral. The ambiance here was ok, but it was slow since I came at opening on a weekday, I can imagine it would be very different on the weekends!

This past time I got the brisket (already tossed in one of their mild sauces), fries, cornbread, and mac and cheese. Tons of beers to choose from too and a nice, enclosed patio area that blocks some of the noise from the street.

Delray BBQ - What a wonderful surprise!…read more It has been a long time since my last visit downtown and I was craving Motz sliders, but as I got closer, I saw that Motz had closed early. Damn! Then I noticed the Delray BBQ trailer in the parking lot. WTH? I was in a hurry and looking for something quick and they were here, and I was here. They had BBQ. I had money. Sure, why not ... The menu yesterday was considerably limited to what is posted here: - pulled pork - pulled chicken - rib tips - selection of desserts $12 is a rather high price point for chicken and pork sandwiches from a food trailer, but the clock was ticking and what the heck ... I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich. The chicken was wonderful; cooked well done, but not over cooked, not dry and not sauced. The portion was very generous and cascaded far off the bun. The bun; I forgot to ask which bakery makes that wonderful bun. I will admit to being worried that only one sauce was available. It is a thin sauce that flows easily. A bit sweet and a hint of tang (acid). The order included a small scoop of Mac & Cheese. It is of the firm variety, my favorite. Not creamy, nor a gelatinous glob. If they put a bit of bacon or lobster in it, I would order it for a meal. I also order a small cup of the coleslaw ($1) and added it to the sandwich. A nice complement of texture for the sandwich. It is wet, not creamy - fine by me. The two guys working the food trailer are friendly and helpful. After finishing my lunch I inquired about wet-naps to clean my fingers and they provided. The limited menu was the only disappointment. I would have loved a combination plate of the usual suspects found at a BBQ joint. The limited menu was aimed at SW Detroit lunch crowd. The full menu is available at other venues - check Facebook, their webpage or call.
