I placed a phone order on 8/29/2020. I asked for a croquetta preparada with pickles on the side. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was told my order wasn't ready so I patiently waited over 20 minutes. When I got home, my sandwich was soggy and cold because rather than putting my pickles in a container they carelessly placed it under my sandwich. I ended up having to retoast my sandwich to salvage it. I understand the restaurant is busy and filling a ton of orders. I did the best I could to make my sandwich better, but as a paying customer, I'm really disappointed in the carelessness and overall bad service. I won't be dining or ordering at the Davie Vicky Bakery again nor will I recommend it to anyone. read more

I've seen Vicky bakeries around broward county but had never been in one before so I decided to go ahead and try it the other day. This particular location had reviews expressing that the customer service wasn't that great so I was interested to find out. When we walked in nobody said anything to us. There was one guy helping another woman but didn't welcome us or acknowledge our presence. A few minutes later another employee came out and was doing something and then came over to help us. She was pretty nice and did make an effort to be helpful in suggesting items. We got the Charlotte and the chocolate señorita and went outside to eat. The desserts were okay but nothing special or mind blowing. Pretty average desserts and pretty average customer service. I would honestly just go somewhere else for pastries and coffee. read more

I have been frequenting Vicky's for some years in Pembroke Pines and the newer one here in Davie. I went by on July 7 and ordered a Cortadito and a guava pastry. I requested that the pastry be crunchy. The gentleman gives me a soggy disgusting pastry, which I threw in the garbage in front of him and said, "that that is the way they come from the kitchen." I then took a sip of the Cortadito and it was not hot, but I said nothing. The guy never offered me another pastry nor a refund. This is not the first time...we have purchased other things and they have been ok but not the same as the one in Pembroke Pines. Do not recommend this place. read more

Awesome breakfast, delicious pastries, good coffee, great customer service. Went on a Sunday morning around 9 am. It was busy(ish) but everything went fast. There is outside seating and there was a DJ outside (a very good DJ too). We were very happy with everything. My husband had the steak and eggs with fries. Very delicious. Fries were good. Great study spot! Not too many outlets though. There was one really long table, three smaller ones, and a couch area. The cafe con leche was perfect and the breakfast burrito was good. If I can give this place a zero star I would. Do not order from this place using uber eats or any other food delivery. This place can get simple order correct. They never put thing in the right bag. I love this place! There is one right outside of Nova, where I go to school and it's so tempting not to stop by on my way home. They have an amazing selection of pastries, desserts, cakes, snacks like empanadas and tequenos, along with a breakfast menu and delicious coffee. The interior is super cute and "rustic trendy" with comfy couches and some tables. I have even come by to study for a few hours and the place was quiet and welcoming, so it's definitely a good study spot in the area! Besides all that, h would say the best part for me would have to be the price. I feel like I buy half the store and my total is always so little, it's amazing! They also have party package/catering options and they have half off happy hour from 6-7pm, although I would say going earlier in the day is better because everything is super fresh then. Very grateful a Vicky's Bakery opened nearby! I've been in here several times for pastries and cakes and have never been disappointed! Everything I've picked up from Vicky's was superb the only complaint is the service. I always thought it was because some midwestern white girl ALWAYS butchers the Cuban names so I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's experienced the poor service. The pressed croissant sandwhich and the croquetas were good, but I got one of each of the pastelitos, to go and they were disappointing. They were very dry and did not have much cheese or guava filling. The flan also had too much caramel sauce. I bought my mom the tres leches and she stated it was one of the best she ever had. I came here for a second time in the hopes that they had made things better and that this location would live up to Vicky Bakery reputation. It did not!! The ham croquetas i had were cold and greasy. The pastelitos de guayaba were undercooked and the guava was liquidy and overly sweet and seeped out of the sides like a syrup. Even the colada was bad. Cold and too sugary. Overall, not a good choice for your Cuban bakery fix. Stay clear - there are much better places. read more

I can't deal. Where do I start. Okay first, its a pretty good location. So check for the 1st star. It's very clean, and nicely decorated. Check for the 2nd star. YET, the staff seems to be highly untrained. I have noticed there does not seem to be a designated area for to go orders. At times, it is by the registers, a side counter, or by the coffee bar. *TIP: Starbucks places all online orders in clear visible site for the customer to walk in, confirm it is personal order, then quickly take off, TO GO TO WORK! (I think.. at least in my case). Two days ago, I placed an order online, and I figured by the time I arrived it should be ready. I walked in, did not see any order in a plastic bag which indicates it is to go. I asked the cashier about my order. She walked into the kitchen came back up front and said, "They dont know anything about it." What?.. Anyway the one girl asks the more competent employee, "Do you know how to do online orders?" Seriously???. Last but not least, each time I order coffee, it is lukewarm and not not prepared as I specifically imdicatede!! This is second time I come to the establishment. I came with my twins to have breakfast. My breakfast was cold, one of the young ladies completely ignored me staring she couldn't help me she was busy with register and by the time I got my food I honestly did not want to eat it. I'm a regular at the university location! I ordered online for pick up like I always do. I get there and I'm waiting at the counter for somebody to come over. After a while I decided to get the blonde lady making coffees attention to let her know I'm picking up an order. She asked what my name was and I told her and she also asked what the guys name next to me for his order as well. So she goes to the rack where they have all the pick up orders got the guys order gives it to him and just goes back to making coffee. Meanwhile I'm thinking why didn't she grab my order while she was over there and there was no communication to me what so ever. Finally this other lady that recognized me which I found out is the store manager got my food and gave it to me! I asked her where should I pick up my food and I told her the situation. She said Oh right here! she explained that the coffee lady is not supposed to leave her station and that she was just doing her a favor! Then I asked her well where is the person thats supposed to be here for me to pick up my order? She then explained that they were short staffed....but there were plenty of workers there! She had told me I had just needed to wait there until somebody comes over! I'm sorry but the customer service that I recieved was horrible, there was no communication to me! I don't understand how she became store manager because she doesn't even know how to manage her staff and give proper customer service! There is a reason why I order in advance so when I get there I can just pick up my food and leave! You shouldn't have to wait that long to pick up an order and not get your order when the coffee lady was already at the rack and could have also grabbed mine. Customer service is terrible here! Food is great but the whole staff needs to work on communicating better with each other and with the customers as well and not just ignore them! This is the second Vicky's location I tried. The outside and inside is very beautiful. Whoever came up with the design should be applauded because the Cooper City location isn't as memorable. However, this review is based on the pastries and sadly, my second time here left me as unimpressed as the first time. The recipe for the empanada filling needs to be changed. The fried beef one I tried the other day tasted like the meat wasn't cooked thoroughly and the fried chicken one tasted spoiled! I literally had to spit out the chicken empanada. On the other hand, the pan de Bono, beef pastelito with the flaky and sweet exterior, and the ham and cheese pastelito with the same flaky and sweet exterior were very good. read more

Ordered a rum cake and requested to have cake written on, I ordered from NY to be picked up for my sisters Birthday as she moved a week ago and we will be spending the day apart for the first time is over 30 years, so it's a sad day and wanted to be able to still do something special. Upon my Nieces arrival at the bakery she was informed there was no order and was left to figure this out. Once I called a cake was available however unable to be personalized at this point. Had I known this would be the case I would've called a different bakery as it was about a personal touch for my sister. The service here is great but the pastelitos are far more inferior in quality compared to others from the same franchise. Buyer beware if your picking up an order to go. Make sure you open the box and your happy with the items they selected for you. The pasteles here tend to be fluffier, extremely dry and barely have any glaze if any at all. Not sure how this company does their quality control but this store is nothing like their stores on Hialeah. I recommend whomever runs this store go to the store located on East 49 street (Hialeah)and taste the difference in quality. read more

I love Vicky Bakery. I am glad they are slowly coming to Broward County. The pastries are always consistantly fresh and traditional and the quality is good. I like this new location is more of a coffee shop than a traditional Cuban bakery that is pretty much grab and go. This is a lot more relaxing, and inviting environment. The offer the traditional Cuban pastries and cakes and of course the coffee! I would like to see more breakfast items. Other than that this location is great! Closer to home.
