You can't really go wrong with a bakery around here. Today I ordered a medianoche sandwich with chicken and cheese croquettes. Their food never disappoints. I must say you need to take advantage of their last hour special where their baked goods are all 50% off, otherwise you will pay a dollar for croquettes which I think is a bit high for fried dough stuffed with cheese. The service is always great although not very fast during lunch time. I love their assortment of sweets and desserts. My favorite are the powdered sugar cookies with dulce de leche in the middle. By the way, I couldn't understand why they would put a bakery next to an orange theory. I don't know about the people that go to that gym but I definitely lack control when it comes to baked goods. read more

Terrible service. Walked in at 3 pm to get a cake. Held the door open for customers to walk out and as soon as we walked in the girls yelled out saying they are closed. Meanwhile, online it says that the bakery closes at 4 pm. I called and the employee said oh that's probably another bakery we are closed. Interesting. Maybe you should stay open until you're really supposed to stay open or maybe you should actually update the time online you are open until. Even if you were actually closed at 3 pm the door was open the least you could have done was still let us buy the damn cake because it does not say you close at 3 pm nor did you close the door. Can't go wrong with this place, haven't been in years and now have one around the corner in Miramar. Went in this morning to grab an order for a work party and were a bit slow in getting me out the door, had one person taking orders, but I guess they didn't anticipate the crowd that would start forming at 6:45 a.m. Regardless of how packed it can get, I look forward to heading back. I liked but didn't love this place. However it was packed. The Cuban bread was very good, cafe con leche was good. I didn't care for the croquette jamon- they seemed to be store (commercial) bought. Me and my husband visited this bakery today and had some empanadas, tequenos and coffee. Not bad, but not great; however, the reason of my 1 star review is because about 30 minutes later we started feeling sick. Right now we both have headaches, body aches and dizziness. What can I say about this Vicky's- although the service isn't the very best, the croquetas get me every time. This location is across the street from my house and never fails me when it comes to tostadas (Cuban buttered toast), cafe con leche and pastelitos. Yes it's almost always packed. So I usually go to the Vicky bakery in Hialeah because it is absolutely delicious. Recently I found out they opened one around the Corner from me which was great! I went there twice already , which btw I wasn't very satisfied with their food. And today I went for a cheese pastry and a batido. Also a small Cuban coffee .. To make a long story short . This review is one star too many. My coworker and I went during our lunch break. It wasn't busy when we walked in and were next in line to be served...or so we thought. The girl at the cash register went to go make the coffee that was ordered by the customers before us, so another girl walked up and assisted the guy behind us. She got his order and made his coffee while a woman who was dressed up (perhaps the manager) came up and rung his order up. The first girl who made the coffee kept walking up to the register to talk through my coworker and I to the women sitting behind us. Mind you, we're still standing there being ignored - no one has acknowledged our presence yet. So the second cashier girl then looks past us and assists another guy from behind us. At this point, we're a little more than pissed. So after the guy orders, I let the girl know that we haven't ordered yet and that she assisted the two customers behind us without even asking if we'd been helped. She offered a meager "sorry, I'll get to you after I make this coffee." Wow so you're going to have to make us wait even longer - cool. The guy behind us was more apologetic than she was. Finally the first cashier girl came back with a stank attitude and helped us. Don't know why she had an attitude since we were the ones waiting for 15 plus more minutes than we had to be. Anyway, she gave us our food without a word and we left. Needless to say, we won't be going back ever again. Every employee that we dealt with today needs to have their attitudes checked because someone who wasn't as nice as I was will verbally put them in check one day - and it will be embarrassing. read more

Brand new location that just opened a few weeks ago. The crowd was large on a Saturday morning but you take a number and wait to get called. They have plenty of employees so this process didn't really take long. I order a cafe con leche which was very good. Then I had a empanada but was cold inside and ok tasting. I also had a pastelito de carne which was really good. The cheese pastelist was ok, nothing great. Overall, if in the area, I will visit again but wouldn't drive out of my way. read more

I must say that although my experience with the person that took my order wasn't the best because I specifically detailed my order slowly, I'm grateful that I made the choice to have them text me the receipt because when I noticed there was an item missing I called, they added the item and there was some confusion if that item was double billed I was not happy so I put the thumbs down and I said I wasn't sure if I had gotten double billed immediately there after someone called me and explained everything to me in detail which made me feel much better so I really feel it was handled very well and I will still continue to go because in the end it was just poor listening skills on the cashier's part but everything else was immediately corrected. I just picked up my order to go for lunch at Vicky bakery. Not only did I have to wait a ridiculous amount of time for the two sandwiches I ordered but when I get to the office to eat my croquette sandwich, not only is there a hair stuck to the tooth pick (which I initially ignored since wasn't actually touching my food) but when I take a bite, there are two hairs on different sides of the sandwich cooked into one of the croquetas. I got up and drove back to Vicky Bakery. I showed one of the girls and she took the sandwich to the back. A minute later she came back and asked me if i wanted another sandwich. Obviously, I do not want to eat anything from this Vicky Bakery again so I said no. I had to ask them for my money back, they didn't offer. She had to go to the back and ask (I'm guessing the manager was back there) if I can have my money back... they reluctantly gave it to me. Not once did I hear an apology and then they have the decency to offer to make me a new sandwich after the first one had three hairs in it. read more

This is my favorite local bakery !!! They have everything & it's always fresh. All pastries are delicious- oh and the pan de Bono's are just like our real Colombian ones; love that. You can always count on the coffees. Always on point with the taste..... only down fall I say is, coffee can sometimes be wayyyyyy to hot. Just a matter of preference tho. So my friend wanted to bring Cuban breakfast over. I said there is a bakery near my house just go there instead of going to the bakery she usually goes to off Miramar west of Dykes. Boy was that a big mistake I should of known better since the first experience we had here with horrible coffee and mis represented dessert. If you're looking for absolute horrible service this is the perfect Vicky's location for you. After placing my order the cashier tells me that they have ran out of croquetas( a cuban bakery at 10 AM with no croquetas) she proceeds to tell me it's going to be a 15 minute wait so I agree. I already had my speculations it was going to be more than 15 minutes so I asked her to make my coffee when I get my order, she says no it's not gonna take that long, there I was 40 minutes later with cold ass coffee and no croquetas. Absolute trash ass service and my server was in the air 100% of the time she even told me my order was done 20 minutes in but another server had grab that order not knowing it was for me, beautiful. read more

I've always gone to Vicky Bakery and was excited when one opened near my house. In my 6-8 visits in this specific location, I've always had to wait way too long for food and drinks and they've gotten my order wrong more than half of the time. The service is okay... And although today's visit was faster as far as being attended, my order was still made incorrectly. Accuracy is their biggest downfall. They didn't put cheese on an item I ordered with cheese and when I let them know, the cook basically slapped a piece of cheese on top. The idea is for the cheese to be mixed in with the ham and eggs. I've worked in restaurants for a couple of years and I know for a fact that food should NEVER be taken back to the kitchen.... I didn't appreciate that either. read more

Ordered 2 chicken sandwiches today to take home, after getting home I realized that one sandwich came with no chicken. After trying the other one I was disgusted to discover that it contained raw chicken... I don't understand how anyone would think it's ok to play off raw chicken in a sandwich, and no chicken at all in the other. seriously avoid this place at all costs.
