    Kirin on tap
    Raymond R.

So far the food has been spectacular. I guess you can ask yourself how good can you make a burger? There are so many different ways. I can appreciate in-n-out but I can also say it doesn't have a lot of character. When you eat them it's pretty monotone, and let's not start talking about other burger choices, they are equally bland. I stumbled across super grill on rosewood and Santa Rita accidentally, and now back for a second try. What I can say is that they have a spectacular burger. I ordered a cheeseburger, no changes, and a kirin beer on tap. How many small places can you go for such a combo? Go here! This quaint little place is almost like a throw back from days past, where you could get actual food cooked by an individual who is basically the Arnold of Pleasanton. You don't need a lot to make an exceptional burger, just fresh ingredients, quaint atmosphere, excellent cooking skills, atmosphere, and most importantly how to assemble a burger that literally needs nothing added. Ketchup? Go ahead I guess but these burgers need nothing more than what you are served with. Wonderful burger experience

    Chicken teriyaki plate

Walked in late afternoon today and it was pretty empty, I was craving chicken so I ordered their chicken teriyaki plate to go. The inside of the place is like a vintage diner. Service was pretty quick received my food after waiting about 5 minutes and was then on my way. Took me about 30 minutes to get home before I could eat my food it surprisingly stayed pretty warm. Fair warning if you do don't like spicy order it without spice because they use Serrano peppers and even though I ordered it mild/light spice it still packed some pretty good heat lol, nothing I couldn't handle though. The chicken had a nice char broiled taste which I really enjoyed and wasn't too dry either and it had the perfect amount of teriyaki sauce as well. Will definitely need to come back to try other menu items :)

Ordered the chicken teriyaki plate and fish and chips. First time here. Food was surprisingly very good. Fresh and hot to order. Fish and chips so good that I ordered another basket.

the cashier was very friendly and welcoming made helpful suggestions on what to eat and even a couple of customers chimed in with recommendations which lets me know the food is good enough to keep people coming back regularly enough for them to make helpful suggestions on what to eat their menu has several offerings which makes this a good anytime choice the tables were clean and in good condition the noise level was perfect for a conversation but also enough to hear the tv that they had going the food didn't take too long to be brought out and was very delicious i'm a breakfast person so i got the french toast plate and my wife opted for the teriyaki combo box with salmon and chicken both very delicious options i enjoyed my meal and will be returning to try other options in the future

An interesting blend of Greasy Spoon and Asian dishes. A few work friends and I were hungry and in the area and suggested Super Grill and Breakfast. I was kind of intrigued by their description so why not! I'm glad that we went because it's a hometown style grill that serves breakfast all day (Awesome!) but they also have a lot of Asian style dishes AND Asian style breakfast! You can take your pick of all types of omelettes, breakfast burrito's pancakes, tons of burgers and sandwiches as well as teriyaki plates and beers on tap. I ordered the spam and rice with eggs over easy (Reminds me of being a kid) and it hit the spot! It was my my style of comfort food lol The prices are fair and food is served on paper plates, just a FYI. The place is clean and definitely has a diner feel to it. I've been there a few times and never had a bad experience. If your in the area, check it out!

Needed a place to eat and it came up on gps right off freeway. Fast service. Small mom&pop type. Breakfast all day. Big menu. Eggs to burritos. Many choices. Friendly service. Quiet. Good food.

This is such an underdog place that really cooks up the meanest breakfast burritos, my fave being the linguiça sausage and my hubs loves the bacon. The teriyaki chicken is really good too but def watch out for those peppers when you say spicy they really are! The fried mushrooms are also great! We love the get out team breakfast burritos often there. Small business owner I've only ever seen the same man taking our orders over the years. You can sit and eat but this place is usually a quick takeaway for us.

Came in today and was greeted by a nice gentleman at the front! This ambiance was an old fashioned diner feel with a new feeling facelift. The food was great!! They basically have everything you'd ever want on one menu. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it didn't disappoint. I strongly recommend this place based upon the kindness and the great food:)

    Cheeseburger and curly fries.

I loved the breakfast burritos from here years ago. I'll have to try them again now that I'm back in the area. This time I had the cheeseburger with some curly fries. Both were pretty good. The burger was made well just as I like it, nice and simple. Lettuce, onion, and tomato. Surely you can get it how you like it but I was happy with mine. Curly fries freshly made and crunchy. Not too flavorful but still good. Only a few people were ahead of me but I still got my food quickly. They have lots of items on the menu so I'm looking forward on to try more things. Best part is I feel their pricing is still quite fair in comparison to similar places!

While the burger was a bit smaller than expected, it was satisfying and not overly messy to eat. The service was just as impressive as the food. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. One unique touch I loved was the megaphone system outside--they call out your name when your order is ready, so you can relax and sit wherever you'd like without worrying about missing it. The food came out quickly, and the salad my friend ordered looked fresh and delicious. With great food, fast service, and a fun, laid-back atmosphere, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

I found this place on here about month ago and bookmarked it. Today I came here to get lunch to go. I ordered there with a staff member. I got the Cali Kid burger (w/ Angus beef), Garlic Fries, and a Chocolate Shake. The guy asked what sauce I want which I asked for his recommendation since it was my first time there. He recommended the Cali sauce, and I said "Okay, I'll go with your recommendation." I didn't know that he was going to charge me for the sauce--$.75. The total with a $1 tip came out to $27 something. Pricey!!! I waited for about 8-10 minutes til my order was ready. The chocolate shake didn't have the pretty chocolate drip like in their pictures, but it was decadent. It is better than In-n-Out's chocolate shake. The mini donut is a cute touch. The Cali Kid burger was pretty delicious, but I still like In-n-Out's Double Double a lot more still. The Garlic Fries was garlic overload. If you're super into garlic, then you might be a fan of this. After a few bites, I got tired of it. The Cali sauce was just okay. I wasn't a fan of it. The place was clean, bold, with plenty of seating indoors & out. In my bag, the gave me a fork, but no napkins. Luckily I was going to go back to the house to eat it, but it kinda sucks that they didn't give any napkins. It was nice to try, but I'll stick with my beloved In-n-Out.

Not sure how long this burger joint has been here, but I've always known of it by passing by many, many times over the course of 30+ years. But only tried just recently. There's seating both inside and outside. Inside the walls are totally covered with pictures of classic cars/trucks and interestingly enough of horse racing culture, since the county fairgrounds are super nearby. Pics of horses from past generations and their jockeys and owners. I thought that was an interesting local imprint. Mushroom Swiss Burger ($11/4*) So 'giant burger' is in their name. Even though the patty itself isn't monstrous, maybe a 1/3 lb at most, it is quite sizeable, much bigger than most fast food versions. After scarfing down my burger, I'd say I was slightly fuller than eating a double at In & Out. But this was also almost double on what I'd pay at In & Out. But since I'm a quintessential old schooler myself, I'll pay this price of admission here, no prob. The Burger Patty: Nice and juicy. Good quality and just flat top griddled. I had to season my patty with a little salt n pep from those packets. There's a special sauce that flavors the sandwich, a mayo/ketchup blend is my guess. The Produce: They use shredded lettuce and everything was quite fresh. Just very messy as lots of things will spill out on each bite. The cooked mushrooms were a little light but still noticeable in most bites. The Cheese: The 'swiss' labeled is basically a white colored American cheese, super soft and gooey. Not my fave, but a burger may be the only time I welcome American cheese. The Bun: They use basic sesame American buns. Super factory quality, but again for the basic American burger experience, I think this is fine. Just wished they toasted it more, as it became a mushy mess after even just halfway through. I'd say the bun was my least favorite aspect of this burger experience. Onion Rings ($7ish/5*): My friend said he saw them use a frozen product to drop in the fryer. But damn this was one of the best onion rings I've ever had from a burger joint. Super crisp, just oily enough and no artificial factory flavor. I could taste the onion and the crisp batter, and that batter stayed crisp for the whole meal, even after it cooled a bit. These are a must here. Fries: I tried a small handful from my friends bag as we were sharing our sides. They are of medium thickness and they crisp them nice. They also salt them with a good shake, and the oil they use seemed very clean. Even at Mc Donalds I'll often get grossed out by fries cooked in old oil. Blech! Not here, quite proper. I'm throwing them a fiver, just to show that a fiver doesn't have to be mind-blowing or life changing. Just has to fulfill expectations with a smile, and make me leave satisfied and happy. Check, check...and check!
