Let me start off by saying I have been to many many nail salons and always left unhappy with the "nail art" or by the time I got home the paint has smudged due to being rushed out of the salon and not being able to dry properly. Walking into victorias lab , I noticed is very clean and very quiet not like other loud and chemical smelling salons that we all are used to. It was a soothing environment to say the least. I came in on a day where she was supposed to have been closed but came in for me anyway (awesome customer service) she greeted me at the door and started to work on my pedicure. They use plastic disposable buckets for the pedis so that's (cleanliness plus) and did a great job at smoothing out my (ogre ) feet. I preety munch stalked her IG page and was in total awe and shock at the fabulous amount of work Victoria has created. I had a set design in mind and she in the end helped me create a similar design that I loved while we waited for the gel to set for paint. I also had natural nails that two of them were shorter than the rest and uneven, I asked about gel nail extension and basically she made the nails that were to short and uneven the same length and shape as the rest of my nails by adding a gel extension( way better than acrylic tips FOR SURE)! We talked as if we had been buddy's for years and that was preety good considering that I'm very introverted and don't really feel comfortable talking to new ppl. My appointment was at 10 am I left at 2pm but time flew by so quick especially when laughing and having cool conversation with a talented woman such a VIctoria. Iam definitely going to be a repeat customer from now on. I love my gel manicure with nail art/ 2 gel extensions. And my gel pedicure was also very cute with jewels. I was extremely happy to have an appointment with Victoria for my bridal manicure and pedicure, because she isn't just a nail technician, but a true artist. I've been following her work on Instagram @victoriaarty for a while, and she specializes in hand painted designs. I knew that I could only trust her technique for my wedding day manicure. I got a regular pedicure with a beautiful pink/coral OPI color, and a fantastic non-chip manicure that had hand painted white design, and diamond like details. First of all, Victoria sent me several inspiration photos two weeks prior, and I chose what I approximately liked. Then, three days prior she hand painted some nails with a design idea she came up with. I mean who does this for you? This was a fantastic surprise. All I had to do was just to choose my favorites, and then she got to work. I would have never come up with such a creative and beautiful idea, which by the way matches my wedding dress perfectly. She works carefully and methodologically, cares about not ruining your natural nail or skin, and does everything to prolong longevity and health of the nail. I have to say I was happy to know that I didn't have to come up with any ideas, and that she can take off my previous non-chip easily without ruining my natural nail, and the result is just something beyond beautiful. Victoria is exceptional. Her level of technique for gels is amazing! She was able to rescue my nails and sculpture a beautiful full set of gel extensions. She really clean my curticles to prevent lifting and really shape my natural nail very nicely. My gel extensions look very natural and very well shape. She was able to do a design that I was for which I ask in multiple shops and no one could do it for me. She can sculpt nails on nails forms which I unable to find a salon in Chicago area that would provide that service. Victoria focus on quality over quantity and speed, her attention to detail is exceptional.
