The interior of the coffee house is small but has enough space for a quick pickup and go. The young lady behind the counter was pleasant and welcoming. Although most of the menu options were for breakfast, there were some small bite lunch items. Some of the empanada choices were spinach, chicken, beef, and a Mexicana. I ordered two chicken empanadas for a total of $8.00. The first bite had plenty of chicken, but the second bite was sweet, too sweet. Aside from the chicken, it had sweet raisins. I like raisins but not in my empanadas; it's not a good mix. Unfortunately, I will pass on the empanadas but may still try breakfast.

Our group ordered several chicken combos, which include refillable sides (rice, salad, French fries, and vegetables), while the chicken itself is not refillable. From the start, the service was disorganized. We had multiple servers, yet they repeatedly forgot items. Some people in our group waited a long time for their vegetables, while others had to ask multiple times before receiving their French fries. It honestly felt as though the staff was doing everything possible to avoid bringing guests everything that was included with the meal. My husband and I requested one refill of rice. Since we didn't finish it, we simply asked for the remaining rice we had already been served to be packed to go. The server took the plate but never returned with it in a to-go container. When we asked about it, another server accused us of trying to get an extra refill, claiming we had already reached the refill limit. We explained several times that we were not asking for another refill we only wanted the rice we had already been served packed to go. Despite that, he continued insisting we were trying to get more than we were entitled to. What made the situation even worse was his dismissive response of "whatever" after we tried to explain the misunderstanding. Being treated as though we were trying to take advantage of the restaurant was frustrating and completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, this wasn't completely out of character. Most of the servers have consistently come across as rude during our previous visits. The owner, on the other hand, has always been friendly and does a good job connecting with customers. However, this time he was only a few feet away, appeared aware of what was happening, and never stepped in to address the situation or make things right. Allowing staff to treat customers this way reflects poorly on the restaurant. My advice to anyone dining here is to pay close attention to the sides that come with your meal and make sure you receive everything you're entitled to. We left feeling that the restaurant advertises refillable sides but does everything possible to delay or limit them, only to accuse customers of asking for more than they're entitled to. After years of overlooking the rude service because we enjoyed the food, this experience was the final straw. The way we were treated guaranteed that we will never return.
