I had a really disappointing experience at the American Eagle in the Brea Mall. From the moment I walked up and said good morning, the cashier's demeanor was cold and unwelcoming. She didn't respond, avoided eye contact, and immediately grabbed my items and opened her register without any attempt to be friendly or helpful. I was there regarding an online purchase, and when I tried to explain my situation, she continued asking questions but didn't actually try to help me resolve it. Her tone felt dismissive and condescending, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Since I didn't have the physical card with me, she said she couldn't help and had to call a manager. Thankfully, the manager was able to quickly figure out that I had used Apple Pay and clarified things. I appreciated the manager stepping in, but the initial interaction left a really negative impression. Customer service is such a big part of the in-store experience, and I hope this location can work on being more welcoming and respectful to customers. read more

I've been to this store a few times and today despite being the day after Christmas, and the store being packed to the brim with people, the line at check out moved surprisingly fast. I didn't interact with anyone other than at the register, which is fine by me, I prefer to be left alone while shopping. I was there on a Tuesday during the day, a nice employee, I believe her name was Pilialoha, was helping me pick a cute bra and panty set and she kept getting interrupted by her manager in the ear piece. She told the manager she was with a customer and her manager told her to leave me and to go fold panties in the PINK area. Pilialoha said I'm with a customer and then I will go, then she said sorry I have to go and I was like out loud "she is with a customer". The manager did not care. Pilialoha said I'm getting in trouble. I found the manager and told her I was being helped and she just smiled and kept walking away. That was so ridiculous and rude! I went to the Victoria Secret store location at this Brea mall yesterday, purchased the 7 panties for $35 along with the lotion special. I used the $15 coupon off $50 along with a free panty coupon. The girl who rang our purchase did not include the free panty and the coupon in our purchase. After I paid, I asked her specifically if she included the free panty and she said "yes. I came home and checked the next morning and found out that it was not there. It would have been nice and professional of her to double check but she was rude and appeared in a rush to get to the next customer in line. What she did was just lied so that I can leave and she could ring up the next customer. She wasn't customer friendly. Perhaps she may need to go back to training on how to treat the public. Courtesy and customer service training is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! My family and I went into the Brea shopping center and people were so rude! Didn't think the store had the same experience. Extremely RUDE cashiers. Their WiFi was not working and they had one sign on one door, which was not the door I went into. Their system was down so they were only accepting cash. The cashiers all three of them were being so rude and with a very disrespectful attitude. No courtesy whatsoever. I was highly annoyed. I asked for a certain wait get my change and the cashier responded to me like a child. No! Handed me the change and just brushed me off. They were so rude! I stopped by and spoke to some other older ladies that worked there and told them what terrible experience I had with the cashiers. These new generation of kids working have no type of courtesy nor respect. They really need to look into training them properly or checking their references prior to hiring them. My one star is not based on my experience with the staff but with the working conditions of the store. It is the middle of summer in California and the AC in the back of the store is not working. My fiancé and I started to sweat just standing in line. My heart went out to the staff when I found out that the AC had been broken all summer and ownership/management had not gotten it fixed. So I just left Victoria's Secret a bit distraught and disappointed because of one of their employees. I came in thinking it would be an easy return because I had all of the receipts for the clothes I didn't want anymore due to them not fitting. The first thing the employee said was, "Oh you should've brought the clear bags that come with each article of clothing..." and continued to sigh by saying that it was going to take her a long time to do this return. That she would have to individually highlight each SKU and verify each clothing. As if this was a very arduous task that was somehow beneath her and that it was my fault for presenting this problem to her. I've worked in customer service before for over 10+ years. Retail was one of my first jobs. Never have I ever given someone an issue or a hard time about returning something, even if it was a bunch of clothes. I was within the return date, had all my receipts, tags were still on the clothes, they were barely worn, etc. and I simply did not deserve to be treated as if I didn't do the following. To say that this is MY issue for not fulfilling the best transactional return experience for YOU says a lot about how you treat your customers. As a plus-sized woman, it is already hard enough to find clothing in my size IN STORES. Hence, why I choose to do my shopping online. Obviously not all of the clothes are going to fit. I kept some and returned a couple of others that I either didn't like or didn't fit my style. Why is coming into your store with all of my receipts and tags and clothes in good condition such a devastating task for you to do?? Please think about what your callousness in providing a lackluster customer service experience does to people. I suffer from social anxiety, so coming into the store already by myself is actually a horrifying thing to do. Making your customers feel shitty for simply wanting to return stuff is not okay. The lack of social etiquette is honestly not okay if you are working the register. Idk. I don't think I'll ever return to this location. VS does not stock a lot of the larger bust size garments in store, but they are available on line , so I do go in and look around , make note and take pictures of what she may like and then go on line to look for a particular item. Today was swim suit day, what gal doesn't need a new VC sexy swimsuit? When I went in I was one guy alone, I wish they had personal shoppers to help us guys out. Nope, I would have to find the person in that section and hope that they were not busy with another customer. Men can be a little intimidated in VS by themselves. I found the swimsuits and there were some really awesome ones, super pretty and sexy, I checked out the two piece suits and found two I liked, I found the gal working in swimsuits and asked for a larger too and just as I thought, nope. Well ok then, they have some awesome one piece suits with some bling on then and I got two of those and headed to check out. Mary helped me with my check out and was very pleasant. My shopping trip had been a success! When I got home I surprised my wife , she loved the suits and then said " honey , the security tag had not been removed " , crap! Buzz kill, she did try it on and it looks amazing, I will go back and have it removed tomorrow. It was a five star experience but, the missing of the security tag knocked it down two stars for ruining the happy moment. Beware of the cashier woman named Kim, especially if you are paying with cash, because even though her job is CASHier, the use of cash from a customer puts her in an ugly disposition. From the start of the transaction up until the very end, I was met with nothing but a mean, nasty attitude from her, and when I very politely acknowledged that I didn't appreciate nor understand her rudeness towards me, she tried to turn the situation around and blame me! the customer! To the new Management that took over in the past 60 days. I don't think you thought this through for certain innocent people that don't have emails. I sent my mother a Victoria e-card from my Amex reward account through a screen shot because she doesn't have an email. My mother has no idea how to work her own phone let alone review any emails. The fact that I have to be there to redeem it sucks. I just hope the associates know that American Express has an E-Card. I hadn't been to this store in a quite awhile and was amazed by all the great improvements. Not only has this location been remodeled and looks beautiful, they also have a wonderful selection of new items. The first area I walked into had some fun sportswear. They had cute yoga pants, sweatshirts, and duffle bags. Then I walked another room and heard music coming from a large television that took up the entire back wall. It gave the store a fun, upbeat vibe. Another part of the store had some nice clothes and pajamas. I noticed they had an entire section devoted to Dodgers and Angels-themed clothing. As an Orange County girl, I thought the shirts and hoodies with the large sequined red Angels "A" were really adorable. This store still has the wonderful selection of undergarments that they've always had. Bras and underwear in bright summer colors lined tables everywhere. Getting a bra-sizing is a necessary luxury for any woman because wearing the wrong size can make one look and feel really uncomfortable. The customer service was great here. When I found a couple of shirts I liked, a salesperson (named Jessica) helped me find all the correct sizes and was able to find me a dressing room right away. I used to have to wait in a long line to try on clothes, but today's visit was quick and easy. The entire staff seemed friendly and helpful here. Now that this store has a larger selection of beautiful clothes and accessories, I think I'll have to stop by here more often! read more

I went today to return a bra I bought online that didn't fit properly. Im an online shopper so the thought of walking into a mall to return something was giving me social anxiety. I was greeted warmly by the dressing room attendant and she was an absolute joy! She was a tall beautiful blonde who helped me so much. She suggested different options and sizes for me and so graciously offered to bring them to me. I was able to leave with a beautiful lacy bra that fit perfectly. I'm giving them a one star because I've recently encountered an unpleasant experience with one of your store located inside a mall at Brea, CA. One of the brassier I purchased was defective. It had a strap that was attached incorrectly in a way that it would twist when worn, and the store I purchased from acknowledged as much. Unfortunately I did not have a receipt with me and the store was having a sale on the item when I went to the store to return. Because I did not have a receipt the store refused to issue a refund in full, and instead issued a reduced refund. I understand that not having a receipt could be a problem, but if I were the store manager I would have given benefit of doubt and issued a full refund to maintain customer loyalty. It was only a few dollars of difference so the amount was negligible to the store, even for me. However the fact that the store decided not to honor full refund shows that the brand is out of touch with providing quality customer service. I'm not trying to claim the difference, and instead expressing my deep displeasure with the level of customer service that Victoria's Secret, with hopes that the brand will improve its quality of customer service after this message. read more

I don't know how the staff manages to keep the shelves so orderly. I found discarded trash on the display, garments tossed all over the place, and sizes where they were not supposed to be in the bins. I don't like the new layout of paying in the back of the store. He rings up my bra and asks me "This bra is full price are you sure you want to buy it?" That has to be the rudest thing you can tell a customer and after that he asks me "Do you have our 20% off coupon?" I told him no and he just proceeds with the transaction like what was the purpose of asking me if I had a coupon? He also kept gossiping with the associates around him while I'm paying. I recently ordered a bra online. Within a week, I received my shipment and they gave me the wrong bra. It wasn't what I ordered. The color was right, but I didn't order no Bombshell one. I don't know how they confused Very Sexy with Bombshell (yeah the names for these things are quite interesting). So what happened was they put the correct order number sticker on the wrong bra package. The people that were doing the packaging were probably tired of slapping stickers on the packages or something. A little careless there but it's not the end of the world, I know this can be fixed. So I decided to come here and return my item for a refund. Hell I paid $62 and I'm not going to return it in the mail and wait until it gets there wait again to get my money back. By the way, as a little side note any time you order something online sometimes you will get a coupon like $10 off for next purchase. When I got to the store, we had to weave all around the store. I felt like I was in some corn field maze except with lingerie everywhere. Saw lots of people sifting through things and employees busily assisting customers. This location was really big. We finally found the register way in the back and there were only two people in front of us. Once I got to the front, I returned my item, they scanned my receipt and I was done within a minute. I was done faster than the models could finish the catwalk that was showing on the screen nearby. As I turned to leave, I saw a crazy line behind me. I guess I had good timing. Store selection seemed pretty good. Lots of bras and panties. Like most VS stores though, everything seems cluttered together. I also feel like they need to simmer down on the animal print lingerie but that's just me. They still sell fragrances that have been around since I was in middle school. Scents like Love Spell and Endless Love. Unlike Bath and Body Works, it seems like they don't ever seem to discontinue their fragrances. So within 2 business days, my refund was processed back into my account. Way faster than what the email confirmation said saying that it could take 14 days takes to process. Overall, was glad things went smoothly. Will probably come back here to purchase things if I feel like waggling through the bras in person or if I want to get fragrances. read more
