Honestly you could not ask for better service! We had a blockage in the sink in the bathroom of our Beverly Hills apartment - I tried the usual trick (liquid plumber) but it did not help at all. I knew what the core problem was and that the drain was physically blocked some distance from the sink itself, and I realized that I couldn't fix it myself. So after checking Yelp and finding the stellar reviews I just called Victor at 11.04 in the morning, and he picked up himself :). We chatted and he asked me to text our exact address (which I did) and he texted back that he had a couple of jobs near us but that he thought he could be with by 7pm. It got to about 8.30pm so I texted and he called back and said he could be with us in 15 minutes if it wasn't too late or he would come first thing in the morning. I said please come now and he did. It was Victor himself, a real gentleman who REALLY knows his stuff! 45 minutes later the sink was flowing again like magic. He cleaned everything up and took care to wear shoe covers and gloves. It was also awesome to chit chat with him about Beverly Hills and the celebs all around us over the years - including a BIG name that used to live in our building in the 70's (news to him). Victor came to our rescue!!! He is ALL the things you want: professional, informative, honest and did amazing plumbing work in our home. We had some leaky valves that supplied the washer and they also didn't work to shut off the water and an outdoor yard valve that sprayed water each time when in use. My lucky streak is neverending. I had another positive experience with Victor's Rooter and Plumbing. Honest, Reasonable, Reliable and Personable. So our sewer pipe backed up again. I should have dug up the ivy last year and found where the roots were growing into the pipes in our front yard hillside. I was waiting for an estimate from the guy who hydrojetted the pipes. He never got back to me and I just let it go. Bad move. A year later the roots had grown back and the water was backing up in our showers and toilets. I hired the same guy to hydrojet the pipes and clear the roots. But when it came down to giving me estimates to dig down to the t-section and replace it his quote was way too high. I even offered to dig the soil myself to save on labor to help my parents and he said the cost would be the same. Well I spent a day digging down to the t-section that connected the sewer pipe from under our house to the pipe going down the hill to connect with the city line. I didn't find any , cracks or holes in the t - section. What I did find was what looked to be a coupler buried in the soil under the driveway that had small roots around it. It had to be this couplee. Now I couldn't dig anymore. I just needed someone with a jack hammer to dig a foot in and a foot on the sides and replace the coupler. I showed the first plumber the photos and he still quoted me the crazy amount even though I did all that digging. He believed the entire t section, elbow and coupler had to be replaced. It was time to call a sewer specialist. After sending pics and explaining to each sewer repair shop, Victor was the one who agreed with me that it was likely just the coupler. The t section looked fine. Since I did most of the digging he gave me a quote that was so much more reasonable than all the other shops. He thought a lot of shops were just trying to upsell me on the reapirs. I asked for his rate for hydrojetting and it was reasonable as well. About half of what the big shops around Beverlywood was charging. I hired Victor and set a time and day. Victor showed up with his turck, his hydrojetting rig and his partner Jesus. They used their own generator and used a jack hammer to dig more than the 1 foot of soild I thought we would need. After clearing the t joint, Jesus and Victor found dthe coupler I thought was causing the root intrusion. It was damaged and also they found the connection to our swere pipe was a bit short. We could have gotten some soil movement over the years or the original installers did a bad job. Jesus got to replacing the coupler and adding some abs pipe, glued and sealed the connection. They showed be everything and I took photos. Jesus installed the extended vent and cleared it with me before back filling the soil. I also asked Victor what I could do to repair the low flushing toilet in the bedroom. He let me know what part to buiy and that I could do it myself. He didn't try to up sell me or anything. He even offered to give me the part if itg was on his truck. Talking to Victor throughout the repair just reassured me that I found another good guy doing good, honest work at a reasonable price. I am so grateful when I meet good people who aren't trying to rip you off. I wouild recommend Victor to anyone with sewer line issues. Don't just hire any plumber. Hire a specialist with years of experience. If you think this was a long story, I've got a longer one about plumbers misdiagnosing the sewer pipe issues to begin with. I called Victor last week because my toilet mysteriously sprayed water all over our bathroom. The water was clear but it smelled terrible, like sewage water. I had no idea what was going on, but when I told him what happened, he let me know that this commonly occurs when the city is clearing out its pipes. This made me look twice at a city vehicle that was parked on the street near our house, working in the sewers. I told him the name on the side of the truck and he confirmed that this was indeed what was happening. Victor didn't try to charge me for this advice or insist that he needed to come to my home and charge me for an in-home assessment. I called and requested an emergency late night plumbing service, and Victor was great. He provided good service, and explained the issue to me very thoroughly. I sent him payment, but told him I needed an actual invoice to get properly reimbursed by the property owner. He told me since it was late, the next day when he got into the office he would send one to me. He didn't send it, and I followed up throughout the week 2x thereafter, and was told that I would be getting it later in the day. He didnt send it. It's 12 days after my service and I am being ignored, with no invoice, and I have not been reimbursed by the property owner yet. I don't know why it's hard to just send me a proper receipt and invoice, or why it needs to be dragged out 2 weeks after the service. Other than that, he provided great on-site service. Victor came to the rescue this Saturday when we woke up to all of the drains in our house backing up. He made time to come over that day to diagnose the issue as roots had penetrated our old main line and caused a blockage. He got the line opened up enough for us to be able to use the shower and bathroom. He was able to show us images of the issue and explained all of our options and answered all of our questions. He then came back Sunday morning with the equipment he needed to perform the repairs needed to the main line. Had Victor come out today due to a leak that I have in my front lawn faucet. Due to being busy he did not get here until late afternoon. After digging up the area and fining the leak, he to do a quick run for some parts. He did a great job getting it fixed and the water turned back on well after dark. After such a positive experience with Victor's Rooter & Plumbing I'm very disappointed with my most recent experience with him. I messaged Victor about a water heater leak that I had. He didn't respond. I called him and he said he said he was busy that day but he would come the following evening. The following evening he never came and didn't contact me. I called again and he asked me to photograph the water heaters and the leak and message the jpegs to him. I did this promptly. He never responded to my text. Meanwhile days had gone by and the leak was getting worse and the linoleum was coming off the floor. I tried calling a last time, left a message and texted. Again no response.
