I hate to leave a negative review but I have to. My bf has gone to this tailor before and spoke very highly of him so when I needed an emergency tailoring of my MOH dress for my gf's wedding I went straight to Victor's. I brought the dress in Monday the 18th after calling around 9 in the morning. No hours were listed anywhere but most tailor shops I've frequented before open around 9. I explained the situation, that the wedding was on Friday and that it just needed tulle at the bottom taken off for length and tulle at the top and bust taken in just a hair, just so that the one shoulder piece of tulle wasn't gaping. He said yes, come in, I can do that, no problem. When I got there I was 20 mins early than the hour mark that I said I'd be there so I went to the gas station. 10 minutes before I was supposed to be there I get a call asking me where I was. I explained I had arrived early and it's clear the business is run out of their home so I didn't want to be rude by being too early. I was told I needed to hurry, okaaay. I was fitted and everything was fine. They wanted a deposit and I went to give them my card and they said it was cash only. I only had $40 in cash on me and they accepted. The total was to be $125 and pickup was agreed upon 10 am Friday morning of the 6 pm wedding. Come wedding day, I get to the tailor at 10 am and I walk in and my dress in hanging on a dress form. They looked at me confused and told me that it wouldn't be ready until 5. What?? I informed them we agreed upon 10, the wedding was at 6. They said, okay then 4. I said that's not going to work, I'm going to be in hair and makeup. At this point I'm getting frustrated. I told them I had to BE at the venue at 2. They said okay then 2. At this point I'm wondering why my dress isn't under a sewing machine right then, and just hanging there. I said fine, 2 and left because what choice did I have? I called them at 1:40pm while grabbing the wedding dress from the brides housto check and make sure it was going to be done. I kid you not he says to me "I'm on my lunch. I'll call you back in 15 mins." I said "Okay, but I'm headed over in a few minutes and I just want to check if it's ready" Again he says "I'm on my lunch, I'll call in 15 mins" and hung up on me. I'm livid by this point. I did get a call back in 15 minutes and I'm told that I can come now. Seriously? You couldn't have said yes, it's ready when I called 15 minutes prior? Or yes, it'll be ready at 2? You had to have everyone in a panic trying to get to the venue and not knowing that the dress was ready? I get there, run in, his wife asks if I want to try on...no, I don't have time! I'm late I say. I hand her $80 cuz I didn't have change and didn't wait around and she says no, it's another $10 for tax. At this point I just gave it to her and reiterated that I'm late, the bride is late, we had an agreement, it was supposed to be done at 10 am and they were acting like I'm an inconvenience. Come time to get dressed, it fits fine, length is fine but the little string that attaches the back button was torn. It had to be safety pinned and there was no hiding the safety pin. We tried dress tape first and that didn't work. So there I am walking down the aisle with a safety pin in the middle of my back. I know things happen sometimes and things get pushed back but there was no urgency, no apologies, no communication, no one trying to get the problem resolved and instead I was treated like an inconvenience, looked at like I was from another planet expecting the dress to be done when he said it would be, and no attempts to give a discount or smooth the situation happened. Two stars because the bust and length were accurately altered. read more

fixed my zipper. very fast. reasonable price. close to my house. there were some negative comments but I had no issues.

I ordered a jumpsuit and needed it for Valentines. The straps were too long, pants too long and the v neck fell open in the front. I just moved to the area and needed to find a new tailor. Victor had my item ready and did a fantastic job. The jumpsuit fits like a glove now and I got so many compliments. I would definitely recommend this shop and will return. I read the reviews and should have taken the one more seriously about his rude comment to the girl about the length of her skirt. I went in to have alterations done and I got a really creepy feeling from him and told him I was leaving. As I was walking out he was yelling me to never come back, as if I ever will! read more

Save yourself and go somewhere else! I came here to have pants taken in at the waist. I was told to return 5 days later, well I returned 9 days later and guess what? The pants were in the same spot he put them when I left the fitting. No one called to warn me that he would not have them ready in time after 9 DAYS.
