Confused about the bad reviews below... must've been 1 group that had a bad time. I went to victory lap for the first time this weekend before the UT game and it was a blast! Obviously super busy so waiting for a drink or bathroom took longer than usual but it was packed with UT energy and fun!! We had these orange creamsicle drinks that were super tasty! The pizza at Noccos was so delicious so make sure you grab that while you're there. Also they had free hotdogs in the back which was awesome??? The ambience is super cute and the bartender was kind and goofy. We all had good fun and would love to go back!!!

Honestly, the spot has one of the best happy hour deals ever when it comes to drinks. It's pretty affordable, especially since they open their new diner next-door. I like coming here before UT games, the vibe is nice and they have very large screens all over the place so it's pretty hyped up, the vibe is good. Everything is covered in vintage UT memorabilia. Nice patio vibes, conveniently located in West campus so it's a nice spot for UT students .

Victory Lap is a cute sports bar with very reasonably priced food, $10 Espresso Martini's, a great viewing experience for sports (go 'Stros!), and very friendly and energetic staff! The drinks were tasty and came out quick, and the food at the other building was cheap and satisfactory as far as less-than-$8 bar-food goes. Yes, there is an automatic 20% tip, and whilst it didn't bother me personally they should really just adjust menu pricing and build tip+tax into the cost of each item considering that it isn't a very expensive bar to begin with, especially by Austin standards. 8/10 would recommend. They also take Apple Pay for anyone that's curious!

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing pizza & music!!! Definitely worth checking out. Don't let the bad reviews deter you from coming here. It's only 8pm on a Friday and on campus! These people are ridiculous

Cool outdoor bar. Was supposedly newly renovated but really nothing special about it at all. Has a food truck with pizza. They were showing football game on big tv but multiple times it went out. Beware that they automatically add 20% tip here to your tab

For reasons that make no sense to any experienced summer festival-goer, the Q2 powers-that-be decided to make this a "no re-entry" event, meaning that attendees are basically locked in the stadium with very few options for relief from the heat. Thank heaven for PointsBet Sports Bar! PointsBet Austin is located inside of Q2 stadium on the north end near the Zebra Gate, up some stairs just to your right as you enter the gate. They have cold air-conditioning, at least one phone recharging station, a few table games, seating for at least 50 people, and standing room for a couple hundred others. Plus, there's a huge horseshoe bar serving plenty of canned and mixed beverages. The whole north wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, providing plenty of natural light. Lastly, there are 18 flatscreens around the walls showing various sporting events and during our concert, a couple were streaming a live view of the concert stage. As expected, prices were "high" (like everything else in Austin these days), but they were in line with pricing available at the other beverage stands outside in the stadium, so we didn't pay any more than we would have out there for the same drink. According to their website, PointsBet opens 3 hours before soccer matches on regular Q2 game days, and it's one of the few air-conditioned places where non-VIP attendees can get a break from the goings-on outside.

We were definitely underdressed, but the overall vibe is semi-casual with a lot of people dining there before hitting the bars. We got the Smashburger, gumbo, and shrimp Poboy. The gumbo was the best I've ever had. Even though we got the cup size it was very rich and filling. The highlight was our bartender, Rick. He was incredibly attentive, skilled, and even told us a little bit about the history of the place as a former boxing gym. It's hard to find such a down to Earth spot here in Austin and I'm really looking forward to going back.

There's this huge building that looks like an unassuming co-working space, but it turns out that there is a whole fun world behind it! They have a great setup: there's a little playground, a paddle board court, corn hole, etc to keep kids entertained and they had a huge screen set up to watch the game. And tents! Thank you for having tents and misters! The ambience is spot-on. Overall, we were happy with everything that we ordered to eat. The buffalo cauliflower bites were a bit too saucy, but nice and smoky. The CM Chopped Salad--which was NOT chopped--had a ton of good veggies and a fun dressing. Our daughter managed to finagle two orders of chicken fingers and those were slightly better than the normal junk that comes out. Cold beers on tap, Aperol Spritzes on a hot day--what is there to complain about? We were glad to be leaving when we did because the place was starting to get slammed and rowdy and not as appealing, so be mindful of the partying witching hour. But for a late afternoon World Cup meet-up with friends, this was a good time. Four stars.

Upon entering, I was paired with THEE LOVELIEST SERVER Sanhya, and she was just the best. Ironically, I came on "National Wing Day", so they were running some pretty good specials: $1 Wings (min. 10 wings per order) and $2.50 pints of Dos Equiis. For my sauce, I chose a spicy garlic parmesan (yes, you can mix 2 sauces together) and paired it with dill pickle dusted tater-tots. Wings: they weren't "piping hot " on arrival which was a bit sketchy -- some were even cold to touch (YIKES!). However, most of them were at least a bit warm. Flavor-wise, do I need to go out of my way for wings at Pluckers?? NAH. These wings are decent, but nothing to write home about. Tater Tots came out dill pickle dusted, but they were either fried at a low temperature that they retained oil, or were not properly drained. Either way, they weren't very crunchy, light in color, and all the seasoning was wet and fell off the tots. Overall, unimpressed but still came out somewhat satisfied as I only paid $20 and some change for the whole meal. Not a 3. More like a 3.5. Inside was clean and could probably fit 75pp.
