Arrived at Video Only at 9:30 AM, they open at 10. They saw me sitting in the car and opened early! They had all the TVs I wanted to see, (I had a list), already set up, and ready to view. The salesmen, (James), was polite, there when needed, but not clingy, or pushy. I have a background in Electronics, so I already knew what I wanted, and why I wanted it, it was just a matter of looking at teh TVs to make sure my assumptions were good. The salesmen knew his product, and was able to answer any question I asked without looking things up. The store was clean, easy to navigate, and in general, I had a very good experience purchasing a new TV. They scheduled the delivery the same day. I got a call at 10:30 AM, from the delivery people, one hour after purchasing the TV to schedule a delivery. The delivery was scheduled for 11:30 AM, two hours after purchase. They also had the best price in town for the model I was looking for... I am a very happy customer. If you see no other additions to this, the TV arrived on time, and worked out of the box. The staff at video only are fantastic. I went in for a wall mount for my 4 year old Samsung, the staff was friendly and didn't try to upsell me at all. They had excellent product knowledge and pointed me toward the product he thought would best suit my needs and it wasn't the most expensive option available. I'd drive farther to save money and I'd pay more for good customer service so I was surprised to find both at a lower price point within a few miles of my house. The minute I walked in I had a friendly, professional, salesperson guide me to the exact TV I'd seen at the big box store I'd just left. I have been coming to the store since they opened. In today's world, there is a lot of competition without much advice or explanation on your TV search. There's a big box store next-door to this location. They have good knowledge but they have price point TVs and then they have big TVs. A lot of people still like the 48 up to 55 inch TVs. quite often people are searching price point when I feel that's the wrong way to go about it. Quite often when you go to a bigger TV you will be buying a lesser quality TV to get the bigger screen size. Now we are also confused by the Internet. There is somewhat of a description of how they work and the special features but if you don't understand the jargon, you end up going with price point. This business can explain everything that you need to know and give you different options. They're really good about asking about your needs and what type of TV you watch and how big is your room. I highly recommend using this Business, I currently have six TVs and I've bought so many TVs here I cannot count. read more

There's a good reason for lack of star ratings. It's time for video only to close. Awful customer service and the sales associates took advantage of a clearly confused older person. Sold a bunch of stuff to them, gave them a credit app and then wouldn't return the items because he lost the receipt. Explained that he put it on his store credit card that he opened at the time he purchased the items and was still told no they couldn't take it back. Then proceeded to make him go get a notary to say he will be responsible if someone misuses the receipt. Idiots! Go to Costco or Best Buy. I recently purchased a new TV at Video Only and I have to say, they must've changed their business practices since the last reviews (which are two years old). I looked online, shopped at the big box stores, and decided to check out Video Only on a whim. Boy am I glad I did - I was able to save over $700 on the TV I was looking at by going there! Their staff was courteous and knowledgeable, without "talking down to me," and their delivery/setup people were top notch (I hired them to come back and mount our old TV in the playroom).. One note - if you are looking for a place where you can "test drive" TVs (i.e. taking them home to try, and then returning them), I recommend trying an online retailer or one of the big national chains. Their return policy is not as lenient as BB (they offer in-store credit, not cash back), but they are more than happy to provide exchanges. For example, I bought a Logitech Harmony Touch remote, but it kept freezing. I called them and they were happy to exchange it for me. Please take the other reviews with a grain of salt - I have had nothing but outstanding service from Video Only, and have started recommending them to my friends read more

There are not a lot of places to shop for home entertainment in Eugene, and so big box stores can be an easy go to. Word of advice...Stay away from the khaki pants and blue shirts! The guys at Video Only really get it. I'm a professional photographer, and have a picky set of eyes, so I knew that TV shopping would be a challenge to find what I wanted. I tried Best Buy and Costco before checking out VO and had a good idea of what I was looking for (or so I thought). David took me and my wife and son under his wing and did the most amazing thing...He found an excellent 4K tv that was $250 less than I would have spent otherwise! This review is not about the TV itself, but the service. Every question I had was answered and then some. Save yourself some time. Forget using google to help you buy a TV.
