First time here with my girlfriend and I am so glad she found this wonderful place! Happy Cattle offers both hot pot and Korean BBQ but we opted for hot pot tonight. I am a pescatarian so I don't eat meat. They were so accommodating to my needs and made me a tomato broth for my hot pot! Food was fresh with so many different sauces you can make. Lots of options to choose from. I love that it is individual pots so for someone like me who don't eat meat, I don't have to worry about having meat in my broth. Service was phenomenal Our server Ho was so nice and friendly. Very attentive and always filling up on water and taking our plates away when we're done. Lots of free parking and easy to find. My girlfriend got the mango smoothie and I got the passion fruit smoothie and both was delicious! I think I found my new favorite hot pot spot! 10/10! read more

Driving around, we came across Happy Cattle BBQ. The place was empty at first, but then people started coming in quick. Felt like we got there at the right time. The place still looked brand new and had a really nice Asian restaurant vibe. It was a mix of Chinese and Korean two in one. Service was really good. One guy was running around doing everything but still checked on us, super nice about it too. We started with the crab rangoon, which I always get to see if a place is gonna be good. Crispy, golden, and crunchy. The filling was creamy with a little sweetness and had a nice flavor to it. I kept going back for another one... and another. Got the beef lo mein and Szechuan chicken. Food came out fast and hot. Lo mein had this nice smoky thing going on, noodles weren't soggy, and the beef was tender, juicy. The Szechuan chicken had a solid kick. The chicken was super flavorful, really well seasoned, and the peppers and onions added a nice crunch. All portions were solid, we had so much leftovers and the whole experience was really good. We ordered carryout from here last month, and my apologies for not writing a review then. They are located on 78th and Harlem with plenty of parking. Although they are still in their soft opening, we decided to dine in. Staff are very warm, friendly, and welcoming. It is airy and bright, and I love the modern decor. We ordered coconut milk tea, crab rangoon, shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef, and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was on point and delicious. I really liked their hot mustard sauce. It has a nice kick to it. All the dishes were fresh, well-seasoned, and tasty. Hubby asked for a little more spice in the Mongolian beef, and they delivered the right amount. This is a neighborhood staple, and we can't wait to try their hot pot. We will definitely be back! read more

I came here for the first time with my girlfriend, and everything is very fresh. We had the dinner hot pot all you can eat. The service is amazing here. They are quick to add soup and water for us. I love that you can order on the tablet, and they bring everything out right away. I would totally come back when I'm in the area next, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. Found out about this place on tiktok. We were headed to Tinley Park for a concert and decided to stop and try out this place. It didn't seem too busy when we arrived. We opted for the BBQ & Hotpot option. You order everything on the iPad. Lot of options which we were familiar with. Only downside was it was way too hot in the restaurant, not sure if the AC was even on but it kinda didn't help the eating experience especially since we were grilling and having hotpot. Portion size was a lot for the veggies. We were only a party of 2 but the portion was more for multiple people. Overall, the food was still good and so was the boba, which is extra btw. i was looking for a chinese food place and this spot is so delicious and has amazing portion sizes for the price! i ordered the kung pao tofu and it was so flavorful, great options for vegetarians but also my brother got the orange chicken and he loved it. we got the food quickly and the combo C is such a good deal, less than $15 for so much food + a delicious boba milk tea. i love this place. this is the first time i am ever writing a review because i have never felt compelled to write one until this point. Happy Cattle was wonderful! We have been to multiple hot pot/ bbq places in Chinatown and Happy Cattle was far superior. All of the meat we tried was seasoned well and tender. The shrimp and scallops were fresh and tasty. Sides were delicious, especially the cheese corn and udon noodles. The broth for the hot pot was well seasoned and really good. The BBQ and peanut sauces were delicious. Service was outstanding. We had two waiters who helped our large group cook on the bbq and gave suggestions (had us try the sausage which was the best thing we ate) as well as another server who took our drink orders. I was able to try food from their Chinese menu and it tested fresh and very flavorful. I recommend getting the fried rice. I wasn't able to try their hot pot or bbq yet but I'll be returning to try it out. I was also able to try their crab rangoog and boba and it's all really good and I recommend trying them. The staff were also welcoming and attentive, I was even able to chat with them for a bit. I appreciate that the space was open so that's a natural light was able to come in.
