This was our first time and I think they've earned a loyal family customer. First, they're super friendly. And I know this sounds weird that I'm going to talk about this first, but their Vietnamese iced coffee is probably the best I've ever had and I've had a lot over last 35 years. The meats in pho are all tender. My kids said it's the best pho they've had (besides their dad's homemade pho). Great new Viet restaurant in San Bruno! I ordered take away on a Saturday around 1pm, and the meal was ready in 20 min! I ordered the pork vermicelli with added egg roll. The meal was delicious and filling! The egg roll was a little small, which was a little disappointing, but it was still delicious nonetheless! Came in because we heard it was a new restaurant and we love Vietnamese food. The place is nice and welcoming with a lot of decor. The host greeted us right away and asked for our drinks order, after that she used her pad to take our food order. Getting a beef bahn mi and a cold cut bahn mi and shrimp springrolls. My bahn mi was super delicious, with the bread being nice and toasted and the veggies crunchy. The meat was cooked tender and saucy. My wife's cold cut combo was good too. The shrimp springrolls weren't wow, just average as any other restaurant, so maybe next time we will try another appetizer. But all in all it was good food. I really wish I could rate this place higher but it's a hard 3 for me. Came in on a Tuesday afternoon for a lunch, surprise surprise a Vietnamese restaurant that's open on a Tuesday right? IYKYK. I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to trying Viet restaurants because it's a hit or miss. I keep it safe by ordering rice plates and some sort of appetizer, which is normally a fresh spring roll. My bf and I ordered Garlic Noodles no protein, Viet Time Sampler and a Beef Rice Plate with Vermicelli. First things first, garlic noodles didn't have a taste to it, I wish they used more sauce, more FRESH garlic because it was too dry. The sampler was a good option to try out all their appetizer before committing to one and eventually hate it. I can't say much about the meat loaf because meat loaf is a meat loaf. Shrimp roll itself was decent, but definitely need to work on that sauce, needs more peanut butter, more hoisin-- it's a NO for me. The chicken needs more salt and flavor. The fried egg roll, it was okay, I honestly had better. I think the highlight would be their nuoc mam and the noodles. For the Beef vermicelli bowl, I thought the beef was pretty good. I would like to come back and try their different dishes or even the cold drinks, but for now, I'm good. read more

Ordered the beef Bahn mi and the tom yum seafood, and both were really tasty for a rainy day. Large portions and I took most of the soup home with me. Five stars only because I'm excited that there's another Pho place in that center. Use to have Got Pho, but unfortunately they closed. I placed a Grubhub order so we will see how the food is. The owner needs to clarify Combo Pho #2 states in Grubhub rare beef, beef brisket, beef tendon & tripe. But when I go to Yelp, their picture menu only states rare beef & beef brisket. Very confusing. I hope there's tendon and tripe, as that's my favorite. If not, well time to move on and find another Pho restaurant. Update-surprisingly good. Tendon was sliced very thin but it works. read more

This place is newly opened and really clean, the sandwich exceeds my expectations, it's taste really close to the San Jose place we used to get, Definitely will come back. We came to Viet Time for the first time today. I ordered Pho and my boyfriend ordered Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup). I also ordered a portion of the deep fried egg rolls. When the food came out, I was disappointed looking at my Pho. Unlike a typical pho bowl, this pho barely had any meats. Even worse, the meat pieces were cut too small. There's no pho flavor in the broth at all which I found very strange. The entire time eating, all I smelled was my boyfriend's spicy beef noodle bowl. I tasted its broth and it's not as flavorful as other spicy beef noodles I had in the past. The eggrolls were just ok and very tiny and overpriced compared to other good Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. The staff at Viet Time was friendly, though. I won't come back because the food didn't meet my standards, sadly :( read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy! My family and I tried quite a few items from the menu and they were all exceptional. The fried tofu was crunchy and soft, it's a must! The beef in the noodle soup was very tender and flavorful. And we loved the variety in the appetizer sampler. Not the best of Pho soups I've ever had. One review was right. Their pho soup lacks something. Not the place you can tell yourself " I will eat here again".It needs a little more taste. Garlic noodles is dry and it would be better if there' s a choice of beef add-on for it too. Not until they make it better, I might have to still drive far just to eat pho in another place. This is a great new Vietnam restaurant in San Bruno. It is right by Starbucks. This was one of the best Pho I've had in a long time! The service is very nice. I ordered it to go and they were very quick. The flavor of the Pho was great. I prefer the beef but the chicken wasn't bad either. The prices are very reasonable and the food amount is great to satisfy your hunger. Definitely recommend it if you want a delicious bowl of Pho. Place is very clean and nice place to bring family. I now have a go to Pho place. I also had the spring roll which was good. The peanut sauce can be a bit more spicy but overall it was great. I'm going to try the Bun mi next time.... Viet Time is inside the Lucky/Lowe's mall next to Tanforan Mall. They opened for business on 11/1 so they are fairly new. The place is clean and bright. They have a bang mi special so it's a good idea to buy more. My favorite banh mi are their cold cut and grill pork. We got greeted when we walked in and staffs checked in on us. Parking is not an issue since it's inside the mall. Definitely will come back to try more things. read more

I tried everything to liven up the broth. chili sauce, soy sauce, and it started to have some flavor, but you had to get through the layer of grease on top first. definitely not the rich, satisfying, comfort, I was hoping for. It was great to know they were being very attentive. I ordered an order of shrimp rolls and a fried egg sandwich. The shrimp rolls were om point. This is a brightly-lit and clean lunch place run by nice people. It's affordable for the area with ample parking. The Banh Mi sandwiches come on really big, fluffy rolls.
