    Thai Iced Tea
    Allister D.

Excellent Thai restaurant and super clean with such friendly staff. The kind gentleman, Phil, was patient with me since it was my first time. Because I ordered a pretty good set of food and had to wait a bit, he automatically offered my fresh cold water as I waited. Once I received my to-go order, I was surprised with an extra Thai iced tea which was so kind and generous. This made me super happy because the drink itself is my favorite Thai iced tea to date. It's creamy and has silky texture. I thoroughly enjoyed their Pad Sew Ew which was bold in flavor and darker than most of the others I've had. I think they put in extra of the sauce in this dish because it's more pronounced and tastier. The beef is cooked perfectly as well as the broccoli. The crispy tofu is fresh and goes perfectly with the sweet chili sauce. The Tom Kha soup was delicious and had a nice creamy thick texture. I loved the red chili that was included inside because it provided a nice subtle heat which also made the mushrooms and chicken stick out with more flavor. Overall, the food here is fantastic and definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurants right now. The food is fresh, the service is so nice and friendly, the place is clean with an urban decor. It's a must try in this little neighborhood. I would love to come back again.

    Is this drunken noodle??? Seriously?

Worst Thai food I've ever had. Noodles were completely dry and drenched in soy sauce. Very bland but salty. Go somewhere else. Employee was not helpful at all.

Server was really sweet. Curry puffs were good. Spicy basil I would not order either bamboo as the bamboo had a really strong overpowering flavor to it. Yellow curry was good. All if the chicken though was dry. Calamari was ok. I would not order again. The other dish I can't remember what it was called. The milk to Thai tea ratio was a tad off. I thought it was a bit too much milk. Hard to find parking as it's all street in the area. We parked up the street in a public lot. Inside was cute, clean, and bathroom was clean.

That ok no taste at all you call spicy but not even spicy also when I order I said thai spicy omg first and last order thx Why So much onion and u call basil spicy ? I can make better than you guy OMG I never eat thai food like this in my life

Ordered online from uber eat. The items are different from what the pictures. No shrimp in tom yum soup. Only some pieces of chicken in pad Thai. Cucumber salad is flavorless.

Literally have no idea? You can't see it but it's literally so much pineapple and tomatoes and peanuts?

I ordered off of Uber Eats (it was BOGO). It was supposed to be the (Num Tok Moo) and I'm literally at a loss of what I received? It was a salad, with maybe 3 pieces of pork, so many tomatoes, and PINEAPPLE like so much pineapple. I'm literally at a loss of what they even gave me?

I ordered spicy basil pork and ginger chicken. Can you tell which is which from the pics? Of course not, they both taste very bland. Spicy basil pork with no ground pork (pad kra pao) and totally diffeeent from ad. Ginger chicken no taste at all. Laziest chef ever cuz every dish look the same, this place makes Panda Express deserves a Michelin star. Will not order from this place again, fool me once, can't fool me twice

We have 8 of us gathering for Chinese new year and celebrating a birthday. We picked this restaurant because is in the neighborhood and is much quieter to talk. The owner is the waiter all by himself and yes a little slow service but he managed fine. The food come out good except the fired calamari that was burn and all of the dishes were fine. We love to support small businesses restaurant (mom and pops restaurant) and all my friends like it. I think we will come back!

This place is such a hidden gem tucked away on a little side street. The food is super authentic and the portions are huge--you definitely get your money's worth. Every dish is packed with flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is clean and has a really nice, relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal. On top of that, the staff are incredibly warm and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. If you're looking for real Thai food beyond the usual spots, this is the place to go.

Placed a take out order for lunch and the lady on the phone was helpful and kind. I ordered a spicy basil with ground chicken. I enjoyed the flavors but wish there were more chicken, basil and other veggies. It was mostly onions with some bell peppers sprinkled in. Overall flavor was there. I forgot to take a picture until half way through but you can see it's mostly onions and the rice I added. I would order from them again maybe a different dish though.

I went here with my friend around Tuesday at noon and this place was packed! There was only one poor guy manning the entire front and he was definitely overwhelmed. This definitely echoed my experience when I went to White Elephant Thai restaurant (see my review https://www.yelp.com/biz/white-elephant-restaurant-south-san-francisco-2?hrid=a6QobqD6qZMEq2DJMkimjw&utm) and as this is a sister restaurant, I can't say that I'm surprised. I do feel bad for the servwe as he was waiting on tables, taking orders, and also preparing orders for delivery services too! When it comes to the food, it was definitely great that it was the sister restaurant of White Elephant because the quality, great portion sizes, and authentic flavor is all still there! We ordered the crab fried rice, pad see ew with beef, pad Thai with chicken, and another pad Thai with beef (we were planning dinner to go too hehe). The food came out pretty quick and had tons of flavor. Loved the quality and portions of the food here. As for ambiance, the restaurant is pretty small and has some cool murals on the two main walls. It was pretty packed and people were even waiting outside during this prime weekday lunchtime. As for parking, there is street parking so could be hit or miss! Overall, will definitely come back but would suggest more help for the staff in the front for better efficiency!

Issan Papaya Salad, Satay and Spicy Basil Pork Belly
    Bree W.

Aww, man, this place is yummy! I've been searching for a papaya salad like the one I had in Pahoa, HI for a decade and finally found it with with Issan Style. So good, savory full of flavor. Strong fish sauce, but I love that! Satay was fantastic and spicy pork belly (got on recommendation here) was killer too. Don't sleep on this place if you're sleeping over at the airport hotels. Well with my 20 minute walk. To think, I could've ended up at Wendy's. Sorry for the less than lovely pic, I was hangry.

The herb cream cheese was thinner than I expected, more spread than schmear. Didn't wow me, but that's a preference thing. Iced salted caramel latte hit the spot. Nice touch that the specialty bagels come with sides. Price check, two bagels and two drinks ran us close to $50. That stings a little, but the quality is there and the portions are honest. Not an everyday stop, but worth it for the salmon bagel. Would return, just ordering differently next time.

We went on Yelp and searched for Vegan food and found this interesting food truck with great reviews. We were excited as this truck was parked in a gas station with a vegan yes completely vegan food mart and a giant statue of a rooster outside. This was the most fun part of this experience. The prices on the food truck did not match what the young lady - new employee " I'm sorry I don't know this is my 6th day" - rang up ( $1.60 more per item). When I asked her and her colleague( Caucasian lady about 5 ft 4 inches tall), the latter just shrugged her shoulders, walked out of the truck and passed us without responding on her way to the gas station rest room where she stayed for the next 12 minutes( till we left. I asked our first contact about the hours posted on the sign on the truck as in open for breakfast and she stated nope, maybe 11 or so. It was sad because the new employee was trying so hard to push the taco meal deal combo for an additional $11 on us. The tacos had two tiny pieces of soy. ( photo). We got the food to go and unwrapped everything at the hotel. The burrito was not bad. We were starving and just woofed it down. I was tempted to call the number on the side of the truck and run a check on the owner who has a different truck in San Francisco but decided against it. Sometimes you just got to let it go.

Customary at most Vietnamese restaurants, you get your food with minimal check ins and not even a plate clearing until the bill comes. This was NOT the case here. There service was definitely in the A/A+ range! I ordered on my phone via QR code, but there was an option to order in person from a server. I ordered many items to try out. I ordered spring rolls, crispy salt and pepper wings, grilled pork banh mi, beef dac beit pho, and a Thai iced tea. Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Grade: A I thought the Spring Rolls were decent, but what made them even better was the peanut sauce! I always hate when the peanut sauce is watery and this was far from that! An excellent gooey peanut sauce and maybe one of the best I've had fpr consistency. Grade: A- Crispy salt and pepper wings definitely had an incredible crunch. They were up there in crunchiness. The drumettes were meaty which I appreciated. They were well seasoned also. I think I need to try their other wings before crowning these, but some of the cruncheist wings I've had for sure. Grade: A- Beef Dac Biet Pho had some real high quality meat in it. I had options in noodle and my go-to for any pho spot is the egg noodles. I wish it had more bo vien in it, but I appreciated the combo of meats. The broth seemed authentic, but I wanted a tad more flavor out of it without adding sauces. Overall, the pho grade was a B+ bordering an A-. The star of the show was the grilled pork banh mi. The meat was tender and saucy. In fairness I asked for extra pickles and mayo, but I was very impressed. The bread had the crispy crunch we all look for but minus the stale bread. The breads soft yet crispness made it seem as if it just came out of the oven! I'm going to dub this as the best I've had in the Bay Area! There I said it! Grade: A+ Everyone who ordered the sampler seemed very pleased at other tables, I would definitely try that. Also, want to try the other banh mis and noodle options for the pho. There was a nice vibe at this place. I didn't feel rushed although they do close fairly early at 8pm. The server's mom is the one cooking in the kitchen and I appreciated the family feeling at this place. They do have a newer location in San Francisco that has a DJ Friday nights that I may check out. I believe the server said that they are open til 2am on most nights, but I may have misheard her. Feel free to Yelp that location.
