The employee who showed up tried to charge extra for clearing leaves (which I refused), certainly did not clear the downspouts on the upper roof (I don't know if the gutters were blown clear), and had no replacement filters. I emailed Jeff that I was very unhappy with the service and I must say that Jeff did not respond with denials or resentment. He showed up in person and did not leave until I was satisfied with the job. I was sore tempted to knock off a star for the undesired rigamarole, but Jeff is a man of integrity, and that would not have been fair.

The thing I like about Mossbusters is they don't just knock off the big pieces of moss from your…read moreroof and apply the moss inhibitor powder like the rest but they actually take care of 99% of the moss. When they finished the job, I could see only very tiny moss on my roof, but it was very very small. That's what sold me on them. You get immediate results after the cleaning rather than having to wait on the moss inhibitor powder from kicking months down the road. Having said that their prices were in line with 3 of 4 quotes I had gotten and I was able to call someone on the phone and ask several questions that they did a great job answering. The only issue I had was that they had to come back to my house two more times to get the job done right. The first time they had a miscommunication with my gutters that was stated in my quote but wasn't done, so they came back and did it. I managed to catch them where they weren't that far away. The second time, was because I requested it because they missed washing a gutter and the ends of my gutter on my dormer were not quite clean. I took pics and sent it to them for proof. They did call me back the next day and apologized and had someone come over in the afternoon to clean the missed gutters and double check all gutters. They did clean all the debris quite well, in fact it looked better than when they started. I really appreciated that. Roof looks great, gutters look great and I'm satisfied, however I was told I would get before and after pics and it's been a few days so far and I have not gotten any pics. I would use them again but definitely recommend double checking their work to make sure nothing was missed.

Our house is 30 plus years old and I have had to climb to second story gutter several times a year…read moreto clean out a clogged downspout. In working with several gutter providers, I learned I needed several more downspouts on both the front and the back of my house as there was basically on one primary downspout for each side of the house. In the process, every gutter provider said I needed to replace my steel gutters as they were over 30 years old. However, when Stumptown Gutters estimate came to our house, looked at the gutters and said they did not look like they are end of life, but would recommend one of their senior techs do an inspection/maintenance service to clarify need to replace or not. So, I got a quote for a maintenance check, and for several replacement (larger downspouts) as well as some addition new down spouts to both split the volume of water as well as have a second downspout in case the primary downspout got clogged. This week we had the inspection done and it was determined the gutters were in good shape with only on small spot of where rust was starting. Based on the inspection, we had 2 down spouts replaced/upgraded and 2 new downspouts added. I really appreciated the professionalism, and the good listening of the Stumptown estimator as the two workmen who handled both but the inspection and the installation of the upgraded and new downspouts. In every discussion they listened not just to my words, but also my concerns about the various short term/long term decisions I might need to make. The work was well done, and the workspace was cleaner after they finished than before. All-in-all, I got a great solution installed, which will eliminate the need for me to clean out clogged downspouts at a very good (small) price. And saved a bunch of money by not following off the shelf/ replace everything solutions recommended by the other gutter providers. Thank you to a great team! We had a few issues with the gutters that were installed when we bought our house. Two of the corners on the house were not draining at all and during storms would dump water in sheets - one just outside our backdoor. In addition, several corner seams were rusted and leaking through. We called to schedule a (free) estimate on a Friday and on Monday morning Austin showed up at 9:00 am. We walked around the house and talked about how to fix various problems - adding a downspout from the second story to the first floor gutter, moving downspouts avoid excess water across shingles, etc.The next day Austin had emailed us a quote with choices: aluminum or steel, square or round corrugated downspouts and color choices. We went with steel, corrugated and black. The very next day two crew members, Reynolds and Nahum, showed up on time with their truck. Both Reynolds and Nahum were professional, courteous and very conscientious. Whenever they had a question they would find my wife or myself and get an answer before proceeding. They took down the old gutters efficiently. Once all of the gutters were down they vacuumed up the resulting mess: mud, leaves and debris.After that was done, they began manufacturing custom lengths on site for the house. Ours is a two story house with 30' plus runs and multiple corner returns. Reynolds and Nahum had no problem with any of it and were able to move from one section to another with no lag time. At the end of the day, we had new, beautiful gutters installed.They cleaned up everything from the project including the screws from the disassembled old parts from the driveway.
