If I could give lower than one star, I would. With about a dozen out-of-towners in Denver for the night and searching for a place we could all get together to watch the opening college football game of the season, the Viewhouse seemed great. I called a few days in advance and reserved a section - making sure to ask the manager if they had the SEC Network and would be showing the game. He assured me that would be no problem. When I arrived they had no idea about our reservation - and just pointed us upstairs, basically saying "find your own space." OK, no big deal provided there is room... Went straight to the bartender - oddly enough the A&M-South Carolina game wasn't on any of their dozen TVs. I asked the bartender "Before my whole crew orders drinks, do y'all have the SEC Network and where is the game?" She assured me the manager just hand't changed over the channel. I ordered a shot from the bar, then sat at my table with my friends as we all ordered drinks. Freaking out because I know the game had already started, I AGAIN asked for the channels to be changed to the game. I was informed that "the manager was in a meeting and he was the only one with the remote" and so we waited... and waited... and waited... Eventually once we got a score update from one of the TVs that confirmed my suspicion that the venue DID NOT have the SEC Network as they had promised me (twice!) - we all got up to leave and head somewhere that did. Of course, they ended up charging us for the round of drinks that we would NEVER have ordered had they not wrongfully told me twice that they did have the SEC Network. Poor service, poor planning, poor execution. Sports Column around the corner was MUCH better than Viewhouse. I'll never be back. read more

Well, the view is nice. If you can overcome the parking situation and the noise from I 25 you'll have a good time. Try it 2 pm on a Tuesday. Don't try and get in on a Friday night or the weekend. If you park next door at Landry's they will tow you. Not that great for all the hype. read more

If I could give a zero I would. We went up to the rooftop to watch the World Series which was not on any of the tvs. We asked to change one of 13 tvs to the World Series they said no. My friend went back over to politely ask the owner again. The owner said "listen bitch, this is how it works, only college football up here. You can take your business else where." My other friend asked "why?" He called him an asshole. Needless to say he was one himself. When we went to gather my friends to leave he called over security to have us escorted out. Don't go there is you want professional customer service. Other bars near by are far more accommodating and have better service. Won't give them my $$ ever again. read more

This place is absolutely horrendous. The doormen are completely ignorant and can't even use simple problem solving skills- not to mention disrespectful to me when I asked where an ATM was so I could pay the cover. The girls who work at the door are also snobby and clueless. It's clear that the View House staffed completely worthless people off the street who have zero customer service skills or even simple math skills to figure out what your change should be. The only positive thing about it is the lawn area and rooftop. I hate nothing more than finishing a 40 hour work week at my corporate job and then be treated disrespectfully by some piece of garbage who probably dropped out of high school. Customer service and attitude are part of atmosphere, not just the view. We called to make a reservation for our daughter's graduation event initially spoke to one person was pleasant. Called back after verifying information with family coming in from out of state got Dennis on the phone, unfortunately. From the moment he got on he had a superior attitude towards me. One moment he couldn't hear me talking and the next I was talking too loud and he said that he didn't have to put up with me and hung up. All I was trying to do was book a classy event for a graduate. I called back because he refused to give me corporate office number before he hung up on me and accuse me of being a liarwhen I had told him I had spoke to someone else. When I got someone else on the phone I could hear him in the background saying "hang up on her hang up on her tell her we don't have to put up with that" persuading her when I had done absolutely nothing wrong. I book many events for clients and will definitely not recommend this to any of them. Moments like these are supposed to be fun and exciting. I was belittled and demeaned for nothing more than asking a question of why 9one employee said it was okay for our event and 2 hours later another said it wasn't. read more

Then we left to lock up a bike and we had to wait in line 3 times only to be told the rules had changed 3 times. 2 stars because of the location and the roof top. Brunch was very disappointing. Nuts and berry salad, and the breakfast burrito is what we ordered. How can you mess up a burrito?! oh wait... the cooks at The Viewhosue did! And how can you send out strawberries in a salad that are crushed?! Our server just relied on her blonde hair and semi-cute face to get her through our service! I also had a beer and my girl had an ice tea. Our friends had an omelette, steak and eggs with a couple of beers. I get my tab and it has the STEAK AND EGGS with the BURRITO and all of the BEERS that were ordered at the table! After 15 minutes of waiting for the server to come back! I broke it down with her and told her exactly what my tab should have on it! She then came back after about 10 minutes and SERIOUSLY I KID YOU NOT! Gave me the other half of the tab that had the SALAD AND THE OMELETTE! At this point we just said F&%*!!!!! IT! Paid our tab and started heading out the door! On our way out we ran into 4 of our friends that were standing at the front bar. We decided to stop there with them and have some shots before we went to the Rockie's game. My friend ordered 5 Chilled Hornito's and while the Bartender was in the middle of chilling it, he politely asked if he could have 6. The Bartender shook her head yes, then she grabbed one more shot glass and put it next to the other five and started to pour the shots out! He then stopped her and said, "did you hear me say 6?" The Bartender said "yes" again. He then replied, "why didn't you add another shot in the shaker to chill it?" The Bartenders response was, "I could stretch 6 shots out with what I have in the shaker!" Then my friend says: "well then I'm only paying for 5 shots because that's how many shots I watched you pour into the shaker!" The Bartender didn't seem to care or even acknowledge what he was trying to say to her, because she continued to pour out the 6 shots! When he got his tab, he was charged for 6 shots! He left money for 5 shots... I don't know about this place? I want to like it because of where it is and it does have a nice roof top! Wow! Worst staff in the history of mankind! Celebrated my husbands 30th birthday here on February, 13th 2015. I wish we wouldve gone somewhere else right away... One of my friends asked for a Rum and Coke and got Rum and Diet instead. He told the bartender after only one sip, so the bartender TAKES A SIP FROM THE GLASS!!!!! then says "yup, thats rum and diet!" but when my friend asked if he could make that a Rum with regular coke he just said "No!" Thats it, nothing more, nothing less. When my husband told him that its clearly the wrong drink and that theyd like to exchange it, he says "No, cause I didnt make that one!" but the girl who made the drink was nowhere to be found. If he wanted another drink he'd have to pay for it. So that was that. Then my husband ordered a round of Tequila which the incompetent female waitress served without salt. He politely asked for it and she just said "its not here right now". Who serves Tequila without salt and doesnt even apologize for the inconvenience? So he asked another bartender who promptly gave him some salt. My husband couldnt help himself but told the girl "apparently you had salt after all!" to which she responded: "do you wanna stay or do you wanna leave?" seriously? youre threatening people to kick them out cause you suck at the easiest job in the world?!? (i can say this, cause i was a bartender for years!) Then one of our, admittedly slightly intoxicated, friend accidently grabbed a wrong drink from the bar. it was a leftover cup that had been sitting next to his for a while. after he said "ew, that wasnt my drink!" the bartender told him he needed to pay for that since it wasnt his. A NASTY LEFTOVER!!!!! they argued for a minute or two so my husband just asked him how much he wanted. This guy took $5 for a drink somebody else had already paid for and left at the bar. My husband paid for it cause he just wanted to have a good time on his birthday. AFTER that the bartender still called the bouncers to have them kicked out, which they didnt, cause at least the bouncers were somewhat reasonable. But naturally my husband told him he wanted those $5 back since he tried kicking them out and didnt serve them anymore, but he just kept it and laughed in his face. Easy money for this fella, wonder how much he makes a night with that strategy. Anyways, our group of 14 took off cause we had enough, I just wish we hadn't spent almost $600 at that damn place before we finally did.... Seriously this has been the BEST experience ever. After going from bar to bar for Zombie Crawl (where we paid $25 for a "premium" wristband) they were the ONLY ones that were friendly and upheld their deal. On top of that, Chase welcomed us, was attentive and helped us get the deal we paid for. His manager Earl was just as friendly and welcomed us to the place. Seriously guys, you just got a customer for life. You were super awesome and welcoming and didn't BS like Anthony's Pizza, the Kitchen Next Door (who lied then their manager tried to cover up) or Shag Lounge (who was wrong but totally corrected their response). Came here on Saturday. Our server was training and we were very understanding, being in the industry ourselves. However, our server came to our table maybe 3 times in the course of the two hours we were there, again we were understanding as it was starting to get busy. I was ready to leave in the first hour but could not get anyone to come by to ask for a check so I could pay. I put my card on the table and she finally came by with the check and swiped my card off the table, flashed the total at me which was $35 more than I expected, almost twice my bill. I said wait?? That's wrong. She said oh yeah I'll take off the $25 mule deposit and walked away without letting me a get a closer look at the bill. What even is a mule deposit?? She returns with the itemized bill after removing this mule deposit and my card, which has been already charged for an extra drink (the other $10) that we never ordered, never received. I waited and waited for the server or a manager to come by our table so we can take off the extra drink I was charged for. No one ever came so I explained the situation on the receipt and left, clearly letting them know to take off the $10 drink that we didn't order and didnt receive and use that extra as the tip, keeping the total what I was originally charged, $64. When the charges finally go through, I'm charged $76?? An extra $12 for a $22 tip?? Good to know this place lets servers add whatever tip they want when you clearly put a total and sign the credit card receipt. Scam business. Do not come here. read more

It is very rare for me to give any restaurant 1 star. My experience with Viewhouse revolves totally around their New Years Eve party. I could go into details about paying $300 for table service and a bottle of champaign and it being put in a bucket WITH NO ICE and my repeated request for ice...that being just one of many things that didn't go well that night. But even that would not have gotten them 1 star. It was a hectic night and I understand that in the midst of craziness it is hard to make everyone happy. What earned them 1 star is that when I reached out to my contact that sold us the table service hoping for any type of acknowledgement or apology, I never heard back. Nothing. Notta. Zilch. She ignored my email and phone call. That type of horrible customer service gets you 1 star. read more

This restaurant failed to know what the World Cup is call by displaying a sign saying "world soccer championships". To make matters worse, they kept the computer mouse on the display screen. I hosted a group dinner at the ViewHouse and they were fantastic to work with! A custom menu was designed and it was very reasonable. The staff was hospitable and quick. Stopped by to get a drink for the bronco game, easily the worst choice of my life. Had two beers, was wrongfully accused of defecating on their back lawn even though I never went outside. Thrown out by their bouncers, extremely violently. As I was walking to my bike the security guards on the roof threw water balloons at us, then grabbed me on the sidewalk and constrained me until police showed up. Ended up spending the night in detox due to a false accusation brought upon by the security staff. I can't believe that a restaurant and bar could treat an innocent customer with such aggression and lack of understanding with the situation at hand. Definitely a NO MORALS establishment, don't risk your reputation and pick a better bar. read more

The only reason I gave View House 2 stars rather than one was because the building is awesome,and my bartender was nice. The good- the building is cool, great rooftop, and interesting outdoor patio that has grass to sit on like you're at the park. My bartender upstairs was nice, and quick. The bad- we had a large group, and our server continually ignored us, didn't take our orders ( i ended up ordering from bar), and was obnoxiously slow bringing us our checks. I split a sandwich with my friend (it was not very good) and when I asked for another plate the guy who brought out my food snorted at me and said he would see what he could do. I don't think bringing another plate is a huge request. Also they advertised a "brunch" menu, but only offered three things. No one liked their food very much, although i will say i did see someone not in my group with a breakfast burrito that looked good, so I regretted not ordering it. The drinks are absurdly expensive. I had a bloody Mary that was probably about 6 oz and was $6.50. We tried to voice our concerns to one of the employees (not sure if it was a manager) and they just said "okay" and that's it. I totally understand they're still ironing out problems, but that that's how you fix problems when just opening up, is by listening to your customers. I don't think i'll come back here pretty much ever unless there are some major changes. read more

I frequent clubs and bars quite a bit and have been primarily in the downtown scene for the last 4 years. This location has the worst doormen/management staff I have ever dealt with. Multiple times they have been extremely aggressive with myself or other people in my group. I am a happy drinker, I never ever get into altercations with anyone while drinking. And my friends tend to be the same way. This place however has a culture it seems, with there security staff to treat there patrons like crap. In our most recent incident here at viewhouse, a doormen literally tried to pick a fight with our group . And they have very weird dress code policy's. Example is men can't have any earrings. Even though some of there employees have earrings. Anyhow I have decided to not ever go back to any of there locations. Hope this helps you. read more

They would not allow my African American friend into the bar because they said he looked like he could be in a gang because he had a key carabiner attached to his jeans. He has no tattoos and was wearing a dress shirt. After complaining about this to the upstairs bartender a different night, she said "ha! I have to say I did not have a full meal here. I was here for a UFC fight and wow. Viewhouse is a great place for sporting events. They have tv's in every corner of the place, they even have a big screen led tv outside in front of a huge patio area. I was able to enjoy the fight with no issues of people fighting or getting drunk around. I saw a staff member remove a girl that was too drunk to stand. Roof top had a great view. They had cornhole and volleyball setup before the fights started. Fight level was perfect, if you were not interested in the fight you could still enjoy the bar atmosphere. I had no problem with parking since I arrived walking. I would definitely recommend and will come back when I am in town. read more
