The atmosphere had this sultry, easy, effortlessly cool vibe that made settling in feel natural from the moment I walked through the door. Jaime was a gift and did not steer me wrong with selections. Be sure to connect with her-- she's right, she is an essential part for connecting the vibe and the essence of Bezel. It was what my heart needed of being "on" all day work a workshop, and much needed. I ordered the Estes Park Old Fashioned, and it was outstanding--smooth, balanced, and crafted with the kind of care that makes you slow down and appreciate every sip. Paired with the Wagyu Sliders, which were absolutely divine, the whole experience felt elevated without being pretentious. The sliders were rich, tender, and full of flavor, the kind of dish that makes you consider ordering a second round just because you can. Staying right around the corner and came across a 1 of a kind Tapas Restaurant w/ an amazing ambiance and delicious cocktails. We had the whole place to ourselves which was cool because the servers were very happy to answer questions and make our night special. We were staying at the Sheraton Downtown and noticed this beautiful cocktail bar when checking in, so we made reservations to try it one evening. Service was great and their cocktail list is quite interesting, unique, and seasonal. It's fall right now and the cocktails they were featuring had fall flavors (maple, pumpkin, etc). Those who got them enjoyed the style in which they were prepared, as well as the flavors. I opted for regular martinis and those were spot-on. Really cool spot with great drinks! We had four plates and each were great. The fries were crispy and delicious and a nice picking at over the night kind of plate. The blue cheese Oreos were super delicious and the cheese sauce was great. The lamb tataki had great flavor but was a bit fatty. The sauce had butternut squash and orange which felt more like a fall dish to me but I did enjoy it. The bao buns had a lot of meat in them and they were great. The Colorado summer dessert was delicious and not too sweet. In all honesty not sure if the panna cota was the right consistency but the dessert itself went well together. We tried the carrot in the rye drink which was whiskey based but it was actually very mellow and good. The apricot and tonic was more acidic than I thought it was going to be and I didn't taste the earl grey, but still good and refreshing. The espresso martini which was tequila based was so delicious and made very well. Definitely one of the better espresso martinis I've had. The cyn strap was very smoky and bitter and not for someone who doesn't like those specific flavors. Overall the service was kind of slow. The bartender and servers were all friends and were hanging out and talking a lot. The place wasn't also very busy on a Friday night around 7 pm. The music with the dj was fun and not too loud. What a great cocktails bar! I went on Friday and they had a DJ playing some good beats, it was chill and not loud that you can talk. The decor was very nice and couches with blankets, nice in the winter cause some of my friends are always cold haha. The waiters were genuine, super nice and checking in on us. I was surprised there weren't many people there on a Friday but maybe because it's in a hotel people don't think to go here. I was staying at the Sheraton and decided to try their bar and lounge attached to the hotel. The Bezel bar is a must try if you're in the area. Mark (our bartender) and whiskey connoisseur was the best part of my visit. I decided to try their Denver chocolate cheesecake and a glass of Cabernet. Both of which I were 10/10. I then inquired about a brand of whiskey and spent the next 15 minutes learning about types and the makeup of a good whiskey. Mark was phenomenal and should host a tasting class there. The cocktails are creative and delicious, the food yummy. The Tokyo Sour is smooth thanks to the egg white, and delicately flavored with the Ume Plum Whiskey. The Grammy's Sour Apple Sidecar is also good, with cognac, Calvados, lemon Juice and house-made Granny Smith Apple Cinnamon Cordial, a perfect fall drink! As for the food, I especially like the Short Rib Ravioli with black truffle sauce and mushrooms. The DuckSceta and Bone Marrow are also delicious. Went to Bezel before a comedy show at Paramount Theater. It was just a couple blocks away in the lobby of a hotel. The perfect spot for a cocktail and apps. If I could give 4.5 it would be more a 4.5, not quite a perfect 5. To clarify this is very much a hotel bar, when I read the other reviews and looked at the photos I was pretty sure it would be but it wasn't mentioned anywhere. We had a hard time dining it but it's located in the Sheraton hotel. Upon entering it is cozy, your typical hotel bar, not huge but high ceilings. We were seated at a small table by the windows, this place is missing a fireplace to really establish the lodge feel they seem to be striving for. The food is bar bites, the beets delicious but the fries and meatballs good- not great, the pumpkin dessert also beautifully presented but not as delicious as it looks. The drinks are definitely the star- try their take on a espresso martini and hot cider- absolutely delicious. Our server was VERY attentive, fun, easy going! The space has transformed into BEZEL Lodge for the holidays - think "Après Ski" in the heart of Denver. We arrived at Bezel and were seated at a table by the windows looking out onto 16th Street's Christmas lights. The space was beautiful - the aesthetic was unique and modern with white mesh lighting, black accents and a copper backlit bar. The Lodge pop-up included fireplaces on the 16th St. Mall, fuzzy blankets, outdoor heat lamps, a chairlift, ski-themed décor & warm specialty cocktails. For cocktails I had the Tyler Pumpkins. The Tyler Pumpkins was made with Mezcal, House-Made Pumpkin Spice Syrup, Cream & Egg. My cocktail had a full body and velvety mouth feel. Ross had the Fall of the Armada. The Fall of the Armada was made with Laws Bonded Rye Whiskey, Armada Olorosso Sherry, House-Made Plum Shrub & Allspice. This cocktail took up dark flavors of figs, raisins & hot artisan plum. For Bites we had the Bezel Bison Sliders, Short Rib Ravioli, Colorado Lamb Lolli Pops and the Crudo Trio. The Bezel Bison Sliders were made with Hudson Valley Foie Gras, Béarnaise, Jalapeno Jam & Cornichon. The bison meat was comparable to beef with a slightly sweet aftertaste. The Foie Gras, Béarnaise, Jalapeno Jam & Cornichon all came together for the perfect balance of tang and flavor against the juicy bison and fluffy bun. The sliders were really filling & great to share. The Short Rib Ravioli were made with Black Truffle Sauce, Exotic Mushrooms & Chanterelle Dust. Our first batch of ravioli came undercooked so we got a replacement that was cooked all the way through and this ended up being my favorite dish of the night. The black truffle sauce added luxurious character to the classic Short Rib Ravioli that I couldn't get enough of. The Colorado Lamb Lolli Pops were served with Romesco & Frisee Salad. The Crudo Trio was made with Hamachi, Seared Tuna and Scottish Salmon. The Hamachi was our favorite of the Crudo Trio. I can't begin to describe how cool, trendy, and fun this bar is. Everyone knows that the bar staff make or break your experience and Tyler and Ravin broke the mold for great service. We came in on our first night in town when my back was killing me from helping to set up an event and we're just going to have one happy hour drink and then move on to find a place for dinner, instead we just never left! I started with a glass of Pinot Grigio, and my friend got an Old Fashioned. I said 'ugh, whiskey is so gross. I can't stand it!' Ravin said "I can make you like whiskey" to which I scoffed because, no. But I said 'go ahead and show me what you got.' Guess what? He made me an amazing Old Fashioned with Rye, Cardamom bitters and applewood smoke. I loved it. He won! We spent a piece of every night in Bezel, meeting cool new people, trying tasty cocktails and they even made some gorgeous impressive MOCKtails so no one felt left out. We got the sliders and fries for dinner one night and were not disappointed. The sliders were slightly larger than a traditional slider and the fries were salty and crispy and delicious. Something went wrong in the kitchen the night I visited this place, during a conference taking place in that same hotel. Maybe they were just swamped and overwhelmed. The food they served me was almost inedible. The mushroom dish came with two toasts which were soggy and seeping with cold vegetable oil. One nibble of those felt like drinking a capful of Wesson. Fingers coated with a slick of oil after picking up the toasts. The mushrooms were served in a pool of cold oil, topped with mayonnaise and cold, hard, stale french fries. Oil on top of oil, served in oil, with oil. What a shame to waste a good product (fresh mixed mushrooms, that is). The dragonfruit mocktail looks pretty but tastes strange. Powerfully tart, with an odd aftertaste, and no sweetness to speak of. Waitstaff were hard to track down. On the bright side, the restaurant is nice and quiet and seating nooks felt private. read more

The servers and bartenders were all very professional and friendly. The music was nice and not too loud. The seating could be a little more comfortable but it was okay. I came back one night just to get out of my hotel room and enjoyed a cocktail while I read my book and they were really good about letting me read but still made sure I had everything I needed.
