First time here at Villa Del Sol. Had dinner on a Sunday nite and the place was busy. Got the chips and salsa with the standard red salsa. Asked if they had any additional salsas available, and to my surprise they had a medium spicy green sauce and a extra spicy habanero sauce. I found that mixing the three together created a fantastic dip for the chips. Ordered the Carnitas burrito for dinner and it was fantastic. Can't wait to go for another trip and find out what else they've got great on the menu. read more

I was slightly concerned that the person who answered the phone might not be attentive enough to get the order correct...so asked her to repeat it. Went to pick up...asked again to verify order with me. After minimal discussion and another repeat, it seemed order was correct. When I got home with it, it was totally mixed up. Called...was asked by I...who answered the phone..lIf I wanted to come back to get correct sides. Told her no...too far away. She said she'd keep a record? of missing order sides and we could get it next time. Asked if she could credit one side or something on the card..no...she didn't know how to do that. Said she'd get a manager...either G or L to call me back. Long story short, I've not heard anything back and I'm disappointed. It wasn't rushed when I went we picked up. Owner and manager need work... we were missing a child's taco plate and they said our order was messed up they put one of the children's tacos on the plate with another child in our party and brought a soft tortilla to us to fix the problem our self.... I would give them 4.5 stars if possible. We live in Springtown and eat there at least 3x in a month. We always get the same thing so my experience with the menu is limited. The steak and chicken fajitas are very good. Big portions and lots of veggies. Usually comes with a generous side of rice and we get charro beans. Ask for the green sauce. Spicy but really good. Prices have gone up considerably but I guess that's just the world we live in today. Service is usually very good but occasionally it's a little slow depending on the crowd. We try and eat early to miss the rush. We're pretty patient though. The happy hour margaritas are a bargain and also very good. Once in a while I get the chalupas a la carte or the chili relleno, both which are very good. Great local spot and we strive to support local eateries. read more

What a terrible Anniversary celebration this was. First time eating here and it will definitely be our last. We had to wait several minutes(8) for a table to come open, but it was busy and crowded. The chips and salsa were delivered without us asking for them. For the most part the salsa was a little bit spicy for my wife's taste. It was on the thin side as well. The ice tea wasn't very iced (warm) and it wasn't all that sweet either. In fact it was more expensive than the soda with less sugar. My wife ordered the beef burrito and I ordered the Chimichanga. The place was noisy with such a small area for seating. It took several minutes for our order to arrive, which was a good thing, I thought. Meaning the food was hot(temperature) and seemed to be fresh. The queso that covered my Chimichanga was nothing more than Velveta cheese spread. The refried beans had cheese that wasn't completely melted and they tasted bland. The rice wasn't much better. Seems the don't use much seasoning as other restaurants of this fare. The Chimichanga was stuffed with under cooked onions and one, count it, one sliver of green bell pepper, also under cooked. Actually it was crunchy, like raw, crunchy. The fajita meat tasted salty, with no type of marinade or seasoning whatsoever. The flour tortilla it was cooked in was crisp on the outside, but inside was doughy. Not sure if the locals know what great Tex-Mex tastes like, cause their taste buds must be shot. read more

Have visited this restaurant many times and normally very satisfied with our food. Today was quite different. We went early, 4:30pm, were seated and ordered promptly. Sadly, we were served spoiled sour beans with our meals. I suspect the beans were leftovers from day(s) prior. While we did get one serving from a "fresh pot", it did ruin our dinner experience. Also I might add, we were initially told that there would be a $2 charge for a small serving of Ranch dressing to go with the taco salad!! Seems more than the beans are bad! read more
