Haven't ordered from them in a while until today. The pizza tastes different and by different I mean not great. It is mediocre and comparable to any other ordinary pizza place. For a real pizza connoisseur the pizza is below average. I hear they changed owners and they must have changed the recipes also. We probably will not order from them in the near future. I ordered a catering order from here for 20 people and was blown away! The food was great and they give a lot of food per person so we even had extra. Everyone I dealt with was professional and the food was still hot when it was delivered. I had great reviews from everyone at the event. I couldn't have been happier. Thank you! You catered this past Sunday April 23 2017 for my grandson's Christening. 175 people were more than satisfied they were amazed how delicious everything was. The beef, chicken pasta , sausage & eggplant ,was hot , tender & juicy . The salad was cold and crisp loaded with cucumbers tomatoes and olives... even the salad dressing got great rave reviews from the guest. The bread was delicious too!!! Big THANK YOU to Villa Rosa. We have been ordering from here since we first moved into the neighborhood ten years ago. Today, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our family was provided with the utmost service. I went to pick-up my food as normal as I am blocks away. There was a negligent parent who let her kids cross the busy intersection at Archer where there is no stop light nor cross, of course, to avoid hitting the child with my car, I slammed on the brakes. Wahlah, my pizza goes flying off the seat onto my car. I contacted the Villa Rosa and they were very understanding of the situation and replaced my 3 topping Jumbo pizza. THANK YOU! As for the negligent parents and kids, DO NOT be fools watch your kids and be careful when crossing such a busy intersection. read more

Although I don't like leaving bad reviews I felt I just had to. The pizza is pretty good but the service is just garbage! It's been 3 times already that we've had an issue with our order and the "manager" is just rude. Has no customer service skills and never made an attempt to resolve the issue or at least satisfy our order. He just argued with my wife and told her he didn't care for our business! I have been a long time fan of villa rosa pizza.. But since they sold, the pizza and pasta have never been the same.. Recently, I ordered the eggplant parmesan .. It was terrible.. The old grease just surrounded the eggplant and the oil floated in the sauce.. Yuk..... And I had the pizza about a month ago.. It was cold by the time I got it.. Disappointing. We stayed away from Villa Rosa for a couple years because of some under cooked pizza. The pizza would stick to the cardboard. So, today when I ordered, I specifically told them to make sure it was cooked through because I didn't want it sticking to the cardboard. Well, guess what? It wasn't cooked well and, yes, it stuck to the cardboard. It'll be another couple years before we give it another try. nice thin crust. exellent italian beefs overloaded with mozzarella and baked golden. i have ordered in the daytime and dont get the same results as with the nighttime cooks. night shift seems much better. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm seeing that other customers have had negative experiences with the manager. Manager was extremely rude, and would not be bothered by customers asking to talk to him. After a simple request for the free 2 Liter worth probably worth 89 cent. (I forgot the coupon), he wouldn't budge and didn't care to come explain to me why not. Other pizza places give the free pop with out the coupon. He then proceeds to goes back on the word that his worker related to me. I hope that people here never ever have to deal with him. Cause he quite frankly didn't care about his customers. i live in the area and ive ordered from vila rosa 3 times a month, maybe more for the past 10 years.great pizza, good prices, and quick delivery times. thin crust or stuffed, pasta or chicken, vila rosa is a great choice. they also have a decent sized dining room, with a nice family feel to it, but it would probably be a good idea to call ahead for table availability on friday nights or the weekend. read more

So me and my extended family of 21 called ahead and the restaurant let us know that they had enough space to accommodate us. When we arrived they set 21 people to eat on 18 plates and said that they have fit this many people in the space (there was only one other couple in the restaurant) we decided to have the kids (4 of them) eat at another table so all the adults can fit comfortably. A lady told me that once the pizza came out that the kids would have to move back to our table because she was sure everyone would fit. (keep in mind that even the kids were paying customers) This same lady had the nerve to also mention that the kids sitting in a table that the restaurant had set up was a "Fire Hazard" we all thought that was funny because we were all crammed in a both with a bunch of tables in our way to get out but that wasn't a "Fire Hazard" Pizza is decent but stay away from eating in. It is nothing fancy, just good pizza for a great price. The inside is tiny, very cozy, and generally empty; great for an inexpensive night. The staff is all teenagers, so don't expect Signature Room service, but they are friendly working class neighborhood kids, I'm always nice to them and they are nice in return. read more

Having been raised on Chicago's southside, I know good pizza, and Villa Rosa is the best! The manager/owner Jimmy and all the staff really show that they care about the customers, and the food is AWESOME. While there are tons of good pizza joints in the area, none can compare to Villa Rosa's crispy, delicious crust and fresh ingredients. read more

While the food is pretty good, the service isn't up to par. I placed a delivery order and was told it would take approximately a hour to be here. Given that today there was snow I figured it should take a little longer. Which would have been fine, until I called to just check on when I should be expecting it to arrive since i called over a hour prior to place my order, and the receptionist who answered was rude. As soon as she answered the phone she had a very bad attitude over the phone. I called and said I just wanted to check on when I should be expecting the driver. She rudely said an expected order would take an hour and fifteen to an hour and a half, with which I responded it had been just over an hour, I just wanted to check. She started to say no it hadn't, then realizing it had. Without so much as sorry for being over presumptuous, she said they have 63 orders and ours hadn't even left yet. Being that I work costumer service and know how customer service can impact someone's overall experience. I'm not at all pleased with the attitude. Whether I have had a bad night, or a bad day that stays at the door once I walk into the doors of my job. I am a supervisor at one of the midway hotels, I know what a snow storm can do. I know how the work can overload an individual. But just because your stressed out, or have experienced a asshole, doesn't mean you take it out on everyone else.
