Just as I wrote on Google, the food is amazing and it's my opinion, it's the best I have ever had in Georgia.

They didn't have tomatoes, which was bizarre to me. The refried beans tasted like it was the kind that was powdered one mixed with water, terrible texture and taste. I had to repeat my order three times to the server, basically to state that I didn't want cheese or sour cream as I cannot eat dairy I got the taco salad and it was very small. Not impressed, do not recommend whatsoever. Did not taste authentic at all.

It is an ok place, makes good pizza but be careful ordering a Chile Relleno. Fajita Grill makes…read moretheirs as basically a stuffed bell pepper. "the way we've always done it." This is what a chile relleno is: Chile relleno translates to "stuffed chili pepper" in Spanish, originating from Puebla, Mexico, as a dish consisting of a roasted pepper--typically a mild poblano--stuffed with cheese (or meat), dipped in egg batter, and fried. It is often served covered in a tomato-based salsa, offering a savory mix of melted cheese and crispy coating It is not traditional to use bell peppers for chile rellenos, as the dish is historically and fundamentally defined by using specific chile varieties. The most common and authentic choice is the poblano pepper, though Anaheim or Hatch chiles are also frequently used due to their similar size, shape, and ability to hold a filling. While you can use bell peppers as a substitute--especially if you want to avoid heat or cannot find traditional chiles--the resulting dish will differ significantly in flavor and texture. Unlike the thin-skinned, mildly spicy, and earthy poblano, bell peppers are thick-walled, sweet, and lack that characteristic "chile" flavor. If you choose to use them, consider roasting and peeling them first to improve their texture, as you would with a traditional poblano.

What is it with subpar cheese dips at the Mexican restaurants in Dahlonega? The one I ordered here…read morewas as disappointing as the other Mexican restaurant we tried in town. It was way too watery and had virtually no flavor on its own. Thankfully, I said yes to the jalapenos, so it had some flavor but not enough to make up for the watery texture. Cheese dip should be creamy, not watery. The chips were crispy and the salsa was good. My husband's margarita was tasty. I had the cheese quesadilla, which was good. I wish they had added a bit more guacamole and sour cream on the side as the dollop of each was too small to enjoy with the whole quesadilla. The guacamole was fresh and tasted like it had been made in-house but I wish there had been just a tad more of it given. My husband had the plantains, which is a strange thing to see on the menu for a Mexican restaurant but he was happy about it and enjoyed them. Overall, this was better than the other Mexican restaurant we tried in town and I likely would have given it 4 stars rather than 3 if they had gotten the cheese dip right. We would consider returning if we were in town again, so if you are around, it might be worth a try though I would recommend skipping the cheese dip.
